Title: Disposable Self-Brewing Yerba Mate Cup with Multi-Layer Filtration System and Concealed Straw MechanismLocarno classification: 07-01 Field of the Industrial Design The present Industrial Design relates to beverage preparation systems, and more particularly to a disposable cup configured to prepare and dispense an infused herbal beverage, specifically yerba mate, through an integrated filtration and straw system. Background of the Industrial Design Yerba mate is traditionally prepared using a multi-step process requiring a container, loose leaves, and a filtering straw. This process is time-consuming and requires user experience to achieve optimal results. There is a need for a simplified system that enables convenient, rapid preparation and consumption of yerba mate without the need for traditional tools. Summary of the Industrial Design The Industrial Design provides a disposable, self-contained cup that integrates a multi-layer filtration system, a yerba mate storage chamber, a bottom liquid reservoir, and a concealed straw mechanism. The system allows a user to prepare and consume yerba mate by simply adding hot water, eliminating the need for traditional preparation methods. Detailed Description The cup comprises a body made of heat-resistant treated paperboard suitable for hot beverage applications. The structure includes multiple layers arranged vertically: 1. Upper Protective LayerThe top section includes a removable protective layer configured to fully cover the upper opening of the cup. This layer is designed to be opened via a lateral, circular peeling mechanism. Prior to opening, the straw head is completely concealed and not visible from the top view. Upon removal of the protective layer, the straw head is exposed. 2. Upper Filter LayerBeneath the protective layer is an upper filtration layer configured to allow liquid to pass through while preventing solid particles from escaping upward.3. Yerba Mate ChamberBelow the upper filter is a chamber containing yerba mate. This chamber is positioned near the lower portion of the cup to optimize infusion efficiency. 4. Lower Filter LayerAt the bottom of the yerba mate chamber, a second filtration layer is provided. This layer allows infused liquid to pass downward while retaining solid particles. 5. Bottom ReservoirA liquid collection reservoir is located at the base of the cup. Infused liquid accumulates in this section after passing through the filtration system. 6. Integrated Straw SystemA straw extends from the bottom reservoir to the upper portion of the cup. The straw is configured such that liquid is drawn from the reservoir upward to the user during consumption.The straw is initially retained in a concealed position and is protected by the upper protective layer. The design ensures that no pressure is applied to the straw during opening.  Operation of the Industrial Design In use, the user opens the protective top layer by a lateral peeling action. Hot water is then added into the cup. The water passes through the upper filter, mixes with the yerba mate in the chamber, and flows through the lower filter into the bottom reservoir. The user then drinks the infused liquid through the straw. The system allows for multiple additions of hot water, enabling repeated use until the flavor is depleted. 2.
