Claim 1: A compound of formula (1) or one of its agronomically acceptable salts, wherein: R² is selected from the group consisting of halogen, C₁₋₆ alkyl, C₃₋₆ cycloalkyl, C₁₋₆ haloalkyl and -S(O)ₚC₁₋₆ alkyl; R³ is selected from the group consisting of halogen, C₁₋₆ alkyl, C₁₋₆ haloalkyl and -S(O)ₚC₁₋₆ alkyl; Q is selected from the group consisting of Q¹, Q² and Q³ from the group of formulas (2); R¹ᵃ is C₁₋₄ alkyl or C₁₋₃ alkoxy-C₁₋₃ alkyl; R¹ᵇ is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, C₁₋₄ alkyl and C₁₋₃ alkoxy-C₁₋₃ alkyl; A¹ is selected from the group consisting of O, C(O) and (CRᵉRᶠ); Rᵃ, Rᵇ, Rᶜ, Rᵈ, Rᵉ and Rᶠ are each independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and C₁₋₄ alkyl, wherein Rᵃ and Rᶜ can together form a C₁₋₃ alkylene chain; X is -(CH₂)ₙ- or -(CH₂)ₙ-O-(CH₂)ₙ-; n is independently selected from 0, 1 and 2; Z is Z¹ or Z² from the formula group (3);R⁴ is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, C₁₋₆ alkyl, C₁₋₆ haloalkyl and C₃₋₆ cycloalkyl; R⁵ is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, C₁₋₆ alkyl and C₁₋₆ haloalkyl; R⁶ is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, C₁₋₆ alkyl, C₁₋₆ haloalkyl, cyano and phenyl where the phenyl is optionally substituted with 1, 2 or 3 substituents selected from the group consisting of halogen, C₁₋₆ alkyl, C₁₋₆ haloalkyl and C₁₋₆ alkoxy; or R⁵ and R⁶ are together -CH₂CH₂CH₂CH₂, -CH₂CH₂CH₂CH₂CH₂- or -CH₂CH₂OCH₂CH₂-; and R⁷ is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and C₁₋₆ alkyl; R⁸ is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, C₁₋₆ alkyl, C₁₋₆ haloalkyl and C₃₋₆ cycloalkyl; R⁹ is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, cyano, C₁₋₆ alkyl and C₁₋₆ alkoxy; and p = 0, 1 or 2.;

Claims

1. An amidine-substituted benzoyl compound characterized in that it is of formula (I): (FORMULA 1) or one of its agronomically acceptable salts, wherein: R2 is selected from the group consisting of halogen, C1-6 alkyl, C3-6 cycloalkyl, C1-6 haloalkyl and -S(O)pC1-6 alkyl; R3 is selected from the group consisting of halogen, C1-6 alkyl, C1-6 haloalkyl and -S(O)pC1-6 alkyl; Q is selected from the group consisting of Q1, Q2 and Q3; (FORMULAS 3, 4 and 5); R1a is C1-4 alkyl or C1-3 alkoxy-C1-3 alkyl; R1b is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, C1-4 alkyl and C1-3 alkoxy-C1-3 alkyl; A 1 are selected from the group consisting of O, C(O) and (CR e R f ); R a , R b , R c , R d , R e R f are each selected independently from the group consisting of hydrogen and C1-4 alkyl, where R a and R c can together form a C1-3 alkylene chain.X is -(CH2)nO-(CH2)nO-(CH2)n-; n is independently selected from 0, 1 and 2; Z is Z 1 or Z 2 , (FORMULAS 6 and 7); R 4 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, C1-6 alkyl, C1-6 haloalkyl and C3-6 cycloalkyl; R 5 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, C1-6 alkyl and C1-6 haloalkyl; R 6 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, C1-6 alkyl, C1-6 haloalkyl, cyano and phenyl where the phenyl is optionally substituted with 1, 2 or 3 substituents selected from the group consisting of halogen, C1-6 alkyl, C1-6 haloalkyl and C1-6 alkoxy; or R 5 and R 6 are together -CH2CH2CH2CH2, -CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2- or -CH2CH2OCH2CH2-; and R 7 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and C1-6 alkyl, C1-6 haloalkyl and C3-6 cycloalkyl; R 9 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, cyano, C1-6 alkyl and C1-6 alkoxy; and p = 0, 1 or 2. 13 Claims follow.
