FIBER OPTIC CONNECTOR

Abstract

The present relates to an optical fiber connector, comprising: a main connector body, the interior of which is fixedly provided with an optical cable, and the main connector body being detachably connected to an adapter nut; at least two adapter pieces, each of which is provided with an adapter mounting portion configured to be mounted on the adapter nut, and each of the adapter pieces is provided with an adjoining portion configured to match an adapter, the cross-sectional shape of the adjoining portions of the at least two adapter pieces being different; and at least one of the adapter pieces comprises an elastic element and a locking tab sleeved over the adjoining portion, the locking tab being movable along an axial direction of the adapter piece;When the adapter piece is locked to the adapter, the elastic element drives the locking tab to stop outside a locked position between the adapter piece and the adapter; and when the locking tab moves in a direction close to the elastic element, the elastic element is compressed and the adapter piece is unlocked from the adapter. Pre-assembled optical cables can be implemented to be compatible with different types of adapters.

Claims

1. An optical fiber connector, comprising: a main connector body (1), the interior of which is fixedly provided with an optical cable (17), and the main connector body (1) is detachably connected to an adapter nut (11); at least two adapter pieces (2), each of which is provided with an adapter mounting portion (21) configured to be mounted on the adapter nut (11), and each of the adapter pieces (2) is provided with an adjoining portion (22) configured to match an adapter, and the cross-sectional shapes of the adjoining portions (22) of the at least two adapter pieces (2) are different; at least one of the adapter pieces (2) comprises an elastic element (2621) and a locking tab (2622) sleeved over the adjacent part (22), and the locking tab (2622) can be moved along an axial direction of the adapter piece (2);When the adapter piece (2) is locked to the adapter, the elastic element (2621) drives the locking tab (2622) to stop outside a locked position between the adapter piece (2) and the adapter; and when the locking tab (2622) moves in a direction close to the elastic element (2621), the elastic element (2621) is compressed and the adapter piece (2) is unlocked from the adapter.
