Claims

A baffle pipe elbow for conveying a multiphase flow medium, comprising: a first pipe section having a first central axis; a second pipe section having a second central axis; and a connecting pipe bend connecting the first pipe section to the second pipe section. The connecting pipe bend has a curved centerline and defines a curved inner side and a curved outer side. The connecting pipe bend comprises a first portion having a non-circular inner cross-section. The non-circular cross-section includes a first wall and a second wall positioned at an angle to each other and forming a vertex, with the vertex located on the outer side of the bend.
