Claims

The example embodiments in the disclosure relate to methods, devices, and a computer-readable storage medium for handling contention-free random access (CFRA) resources in a cell switch. In one method, a first device receives, from a second device, a configuration indicating CFRA resources for at least one candidate cell. The first device receives, from the second device, a cell switch command to a first candidate cell. Upon determining that a first cell switch to the first candidate cell fails, the first device determines a second candidate cell for a second cell switch. The second candidate cell is one of the at least one candidate cells. The first device then discards CFRA resources for the second candidate cell.
