The game involves a contest between two players, each with a pen. On their turn, a player spins their pen on a flat surface. If, when it stops, the hole (the end at the back) is facing upwards, the opponent has the right to strike it with the tip of their own pen in an attempt to damage or break it. The objective is to repeatedly strike the opponent's pen until it breaks. The game is played under rules that limit the force of the strikes and determine when an attack is permitted. The player whose pen remains intact while the opponent's breaks wins.
