MUD LANCE FOR CLEANING A STEAM GENERATOR

Claims

A mud lance system for cleaning a tube bundle of a steam generator is disclosed. The mud lance system comprises a support, an index drive, and a mud lance comprising a longitudinal spar, a manifold, an oscillator assembly, and a distal head. The oscillator assembly comprises a rotating output shaft. The distal head comprises a body portion, a first nozzle body on a first face of the distal head, and a second nozzle body on a second face of the distal head opposite the first face. The first nozzle body rotates relative to the body portion about a first longitudinal axis in a first direction in response to a rotation of the rotating output shaft. The second nozzle body rotates relative to the body portion about a second longitudinal axis in a second direction opposite to the first direction in response to a rotation of the rotating output shaft.
