Claims
A process for manufacturing a thick, two-layer aluminum capsule for use on the necks of glass bottles, the capsule manufactured by the process, and the bottle on which it is mounted. The process comprises an in-line heating process that improves the ductility of the double aluminum layer, allowing the top of the sheet to be perfectly adapted to the geometric shape of the head of a forming mold. Once the capsule is placed on the neck of the bottle, a knurling system ensures a perfect fit between the capsule and the bottle.
