A transport device (10) configured for the dry transport of DRI (Direct Reduced Iron) pellets comprising: a conveyor belt (101) configured in a ring and surrounded by a containment housing (102) that is mechanically gas-tight; an inlet system (8) for an inerting and treatment gas comprising a plurality of inlet chambers (80) arranged internally in said housing (102).
