Claims

This description discloses technologies for combination therapies using engineered T cells and a CD38-targeting compound. These technologies specifically address challenges arising from combining therapies and generating and maximizing synergistic effects while preserving and / or enhancing existing individual effects. The engineered T cells may incorporate a modification in CD38 expression that provides protection against the CD38-targeting compound. The CD38-targeting compound may provide protection to the engineered T cells against NK cell-mediated rejection. Furthermore, the combination therapies may target the same cells in a synergistic manner.The technologies described herein can be incorporated into methods of use, methods of preparation, systems, engineered T cells, CD38-targeted compounds, kits, and other useful modalities.
