Claims

The present invention relates to biotechnology applied to agriculture, more specifically to a novel microbial strain that can be used in the development of biological products for the control of pests and diseases in agricultural crops. The invention also relates to uses, methods of application, and compositions comprising said strain.

1. Microbial strain of Bacillus velezensis, characterized by being a Bacillus velezensis deposited with the number ATCC PTA-127831.

2. Bacillus velezensis microbial strain, characterized as Bacillus velezensis deposited as ATCC No. PTA-127831 for use in biological activity against Alternaria solani, Colletotrichum gloesporioides, Corynespora cassiicola, Fusarium oxysporum, Fusarium solani, Macrophomina phaseolina, Meloidogyne incognita, Phytophthora infestans, Pratylenchus brachyurus, Pratylenchus zeae, Pycularia grisea, Pythium aphanidermatum, Rhizoctonia solani, Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, Sclerotium rolfsii and Venturia inequalis.

6. Agricultural composition, characterized in that it comprises or consists of: (a) Bacillus velezensis deposited with the ATCC number PTA-127831; and (b) a suitable agricultural medium comprising a suitable carrier, a surfactant and, optionally, a buffer.
