The example embodiments in the disclosure relate to methods, devices, and a computer-readable storage medium for activating a transmit configuration indicator (TCI). In one method, a first device receives a first indication that a first switch is to be performed from a first source TCI state to a first target TCI state, and a second indication that a second switch is to be performed from a second source TCI state to a second target TCI state. The first device determines an order for performing the first and second switches, the order being associated with at least one piece of first information about a first transmission between the first network device and the first device or second piece of second information about a second transmission between the second network device and the first device.
