Claims
An improved plant breeding method is provided that facilitates hybridization by using chemicals to prevent floral self-pollination in sunflowers and other species, thus eliminating the need for manual emasculation. The high labor costs associated with hybrid seed production in some key crops and certain plant species represent a persistent challenge due to the labor-intensive and highly specialized nature of the current manual emasculation method.
