SETTING TOOL FOR EXPANSION NUTS, PLUGS AND THE LIKE

Abstract

The invention relates to a setting tool (1) for expanding nuts, plugs and the like, particularly for automotive manufacturing, comprising a magazine (2) with a plurality of receptacles (16) for parts (33, 34, 35, 36) to be set, a setting cylinder (6), a drive for the magazine, a drive for the setting cylinder (6), a vacuum terminal (9), and a control system for controlling the individual components of the setting tool (1), wherein the magazine (2) is a turret magazine, vacuum-actuated piston rods (3) are arranged in the receptacles of the magazine (2), each having a driver (15), wherein the setting cylinder (6) can engage with a distally arranged drive element (13) in a receptacle (14) of the driver (15) of the respective actuated piston rod (3) in order to bring the respective piston rod (3) into the setting position, and wherein the piston rods (3) are equipped with vacuum heads (21) which are suitable for placing the parts (33, 34, 35,36) to suction, hold and release when setting.
