Abstract

The invention relates to the petrochemical industry, in particular to a method for obtaining para-(cycloalkyl)phenols, which are used as intermediates in the production of chemical additives used as antioxidants, additives, stabilizers, inhibitors, and oxygenates for polymers, oils, fuels, and rubber products. The essence of the invention is that in the method for obtaining para-(cycloalkyl)phenols, which consists in the cycloalkylation of phenol with methylcyclones in a 1:1 mol ratio and a volume rate of 0.5 h-1 at a temperature of 80-100°C in the presence of a catalyst, according to the invention, the cycloalkylation of phenol with 1-methylcyclopentene or 1-methylcyclohexene is carried out in the presence of a HZSM(5) / PO4 3 -(5%)xZrO2(10%) / Al2O3 catalyst.
