Abstract
The present invention provides an axle beam (102) for a vehicle. the axle beam (102) comprises a first elongated segment (116) extending along a lateral axis of the vehicle and a second elongated segment (118). The second elongated segment (118) extends along the lateral axis of the vehicle. The second elongated segment (118) is joined to the first elongated segment (116) to form a hollow tubular member for supporting a spindle (104) of the vehicle. Such a construction ensures higher strength and load bearing capacity of the axle beam (102).
