Abstract

Example embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to user equipment (UE) Assistance information (UAI) on preferred gap cancellation ratio. A method comprises receiving configuration information associated with a measurement gap; based on receiving the configuration information, or upon a preference for gap occasion cancellation ratio associated with the measurement gap becoming available, if the preference has not yet been transmitted in any UAI message, initiating the transmission of the UAI message indicating the preference.
