Abstract

The utility model relates to a shirt collar (1) with a two-row buttonhole system and a single row of buttons between the rows. The collar (1), sewn to the upper edge of the shirt body, comprises a stand (2) and a leaf (3) connected along a fold line. Two parallel horizontal rows of buttonholes are formed along the horizontal axis of the stand (2): a first row (4) at a vertical distance of 5 to 10 mm from the upper edge of the stand (2), and a second row (5) at a vertical distance of 15 to 25 mm from the upper edge of the stand (2), the vertical distance between the horizontal axes of the two rows being 10 to 15 mm. Buttons (6) are sewn on the inner surface of the stand (2) along its horizontal axis between the two rows (4) and (5). Each button (6) is positioned at a horizontal location coinciding with a buttonhole of row (4) and a buttonhole of row (5), and is positioned for selective engagement with a buttonhole of row (4) or a buttonhole of row (5). The leaf (3) when folded covers the stand (2) together with the buttons (6) sewn thereon. A collar construction is obtained with two alternative fastened positions, realised by a single row of buttons (6) without repositioning them (Figure 1A).
