Abstract
The utility model relates to ceramics in which fayalite, obtained from industrial waste from the processing of copper slag, is used as a raw material. During the sintering of these ceramics, oxidation and phase transformation of the fayalite occur, leading to significant volume expansion, which compensates for part of the shrinkage during sintering. In this way, products with low porosity and minimal shrinkage during firing can be produced, which can be used in eco-friendly manufacturing processes for the utilization of waste from the metallurgical industry as materials for precision metal casting molds, products obtained through 3D printing, and others.
