Abstract

The device for electrically connecting an electronic module to at least one cable by piercing will find application in industry when making a connection between cables for power supply or data transmission, as applicable to conveyors and other equipment used in industrial automation, automatic warehouses, airports and others. The device includes a base in which cable recesses (4) are formed, and piercing contact elements (5) are also provided. The electronic module (1) has a lower surface (11) under which at least two piercing contact elements protrude. The base has the shape of a plate in which the cable recesses are formed. Parallel to the cable recesses there are lateral protruding guides (31), arranged perpendicular to the base and opposite each other. The lateral protruding guides have a free end with connecting devices (32). The electronic module has lateral grooves (12), in which the lateral protruding guides of the base are arranged, enclosing the electronic module. It also has a cover (13) with an upper surface with at least one transverse groove (131). At least one closing flap (6) with an axis (61) and a pressing edge (62) eccentric to its axis is mounted in the transverse groove. The axis of at least one closing flap is mounted to the connecting devices (32) of the lateral protruding guides with the possibility of rotation from an open position, perpendicular to the base, to a closed position, covering at least one transverse groove and forming a complete rectangular surface above it. The electronic module has a built-in connecting printed circuit board (14) contacting the piercing contact elements. The cover of the electronic module has protrusions (15) on its inner side, corresponding to the locations of the piercing contact elements.
