Abstract
Description
[001] The exemplary embodiments refer to cargo tanks on work vehicles, such as tractors or similar vehicles, and in particular to work vehicles with support devices for mounting cargo tanks to work vehicles, to support devices mounting cargo tanks to work vehicles, and to manufacturing methods for mounting cargo tanks to work vehicles. Fundamentals of the Invention
[002] A work vehicle, such as a tractor, to cite one non-limiting example, may move within a work area, such as a crop field, to cite one non-limiting example, while applying a material to the work area, such as spraying, injecting, or otherwise dispensing a fertilizer, nutrient, herbicide, pesticide, and / or other material to the soil, a plant, and / or row(s) of crops, to cite non-limiting examples. The work vehicle may support, tow, or otherwise be connected to a cargo tank to store the material and may be capable of spraying, injecting, dispensing, or otherwise utilizing the material or applying the material within the work area.Conventional cargo tanks, which are cylindrical containers, are generally mounted on the work vehicle in elevated, external locations to avoid interference with the wheels or other ground-mounted structures of the work vehicle, or with the work tools or implements of the work vehicle. However, other ground-mounted structures of conventional cargo tanks can undesirably raise the center of gravity of the work vehicle and may also adversely affect the maneuverability and accessibility of the work vehicle due to reduced [unclear / negative dimensions].
