Description

/ 4 Machine for cleaning trenches in pig farms Field of invention

[001] The present invention relates to a machine for cleaning ditches in pigsties, more specifically to assist in the removal of animal waste on pig farms, reducing labor costs and cleaning time, presenting a fast and efficient operation. Fundamentals of the invention

[002] Pigsties, popularly known as "pigpens," are places where pigs are raised on a farm, encompassing the feeding area and also the disposal of animal waste, resulting in considerable dirt. Nowadays, pig farming is quite modern, and medium and large-scale pigsties already have a routine of daily biosecurity procedures to keep the environment free of disease-causing agents, including periodic cleaning for hygiene and disinfection of these areas.

[003] This cleaning process involves several steps, including removing the animals, cleaning the area with shovels, brooms, and other tools, washing with high-pressure equipment, applying disinfectants, waiting for the area to dry, and returning the animals. It is a very laborious procedure that requires a lot of time and manual labor. Despite all this work, this sanitization contributes to less bacterial proliferation, reduces pig mortality, and improves animal growth, thus making it an essential procedure for the pig farm.

[004] For small pigsties, although relatively laborious, the pig farmer himself can carry out this type of cleaning; however, when it comes to medium and large-scale operations, a team is needed to carry out the complete cleaning. Petition 870220027135, dated 03 / 29 / 2022, page 8 / 16 / 4 necessary, generating labor costs for the farm owner, such as salaries and hazard pay for its employees, in addition to other aggregated costs.

[005] Currently, one of the main problems with manual cleaning is the wasted useful time of employees, whose workforce could be dedicated to another function or invested in other essential tasks.

[006] Another drawback is that, with manual cleaning operations, property maintenance costs become quite high, and this cost could be allocated to other objectives, such as site improvements and other investments.

[007] Another negative point is that cleaning up animal droppings must be done periodically, which causes repetitiveness that, added to the effort applied to the mop / shovel, can lead to undesirable consequences for the employees.

[008] Another challenge nowadays is the enormous amount of water and chemicals used to perform all the manual cleaning.

[009] Due to these and other problems, the present machine for cleaning ditches in pigsties was developed, dedicated to outdoor or indoor breeding facilities, being able to perform the rough cleaning of pigsties of all sizes remotely, through a robot with blades operated by a control or, optionally, in an automated way, thus assisting and / or replacing human labor.

[0010] Another objective is that employees can perform other types of tasks while the robot does the rough cleaning of the ditches, consequently increasing useful operational efficiency on the farm.

[0011] Another objective is that there will be a decrease in the amount of water and chemicals used, as the robot can perform a deeper cleaning compared to manual cleaning, consequently also improving overall hygiene.

[0012] Another objective is that with the automation of trench cleaning, employees can be replaced, consequently reducing labor costs. Petition 870220027135, dated 03 / 29 / 2022, page 9 / 16 / 4

[0013] Another objective of this invention will be to reduce overall property maintenance costs and improve animal welfare.

[0014] Another objective of this invention is the possibility of carrying small loads, either by means of trailers or even on top of one's own body. Brief description of the drawings

[0015] In order to better describe and present this invention, the attached figures will be listed and explained below: Figure 1 shows the machine(1) with a front perspective view. Figure 2 illustrates the internal part of the machine(1) from the top view. Figure 3 illustrates the side view of the machine(1). Figure 4 illustrates the machine in side perspective (1). Description of the invention

[0016] As per the figures and drawings listed above, said invention is a machine for cleaning ditches in pigsties(1), which can be operated by remote control or in an automated (autonomous) manner, consisting of a rectangular body(2) with a front blade(3), attached to the body(2) by means of a vertical action electric piston(4), said blade(3) having a convex shape(A), which is responsible for pushing and directing the animal droppings into the pigsty ditches, and a lower flap (B), which prevents the flow of droppings under the blade(3), thus retaining all the droppings and cleaning as much as possible in this stage.

[0017] Internally, the rectangular body (2) also has a set of 12v batteries (6) in its center, which power two electric motors (7), a control unit (11), and the piston (4), while externally, the rectangular body (2) has two parallel wheels (5) on each side, which can receive front or rear traction through the electric motors (7). Furthermore, said wheels (5) are interconnected by Petition 870220027135, dated 03 / 29 / 2022, page 10 / 16 / 4 chains(8) and gears(9) of different sizes inside the body(2), in order to have, in addition to a traction, a reduction(10), in view of this, the machine(1) has the ability to perform rotations around its axis in 360°.

[0018] The electric piston(4) is operated via remote control, enabling the vertical raising and lowering of the front blade(3), thus assisting in the direction of the waste, and all said mechanisms can be operated simultaneously via remote control or in an automated manner.
