Abstract
Zone-based heating element. The present invention relates to a heating element for generating infrared (IR) heat beams for non-contact heating plastic profile ends, preferably for end (top) welding of tubes, or ends clamped in a device, comprising a heating plate made at least partially of a conductive material and having two heating faces, a heating wire for generating the heat beams, wherein the heating wire is arranged on the faces of the heating plate, wherein the heating plate has a plurality of heating zones spaced apart radially from each other.
