Description
Electronic module used in a lift device for television or monitor. FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[01] The present invention relates to an electronic module applied to a television or monitor lift device. More specifically, it comprises a module equipped with an algorithm that allows managing and controlling the raising, lowering, and stopping mechanisms of a television or monitor lift device, ensuring smooth movements with an acceleration ramp at the beginning and deceleration at the end.
[02] This electronic module allows the device to be activated via remote control, dry contact (switch), DC voltage input (trigger) and by monitoring the television set current via a current sensor.
[03] In addition, the module can be connected to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth networks, so that it can be activated via applications used on mobile devices. This feature also allows the module to be connected to an indicator display for use during programming. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[04] Built-in television or monitor lift devices, also known as TV or monitor lifts, are mechanisms that allow a television to be hidden and revealed inside a piece of furniture with the simple touch of a button. These devices are designed to maximize space and improve the aesthetics of environments, providing an elegant and functional solution.
[05] Current TV lifts have a simplified construction equipped with an electric motor and actuator, which promotes the up and down movement, without having any type of control and management device. Petition 870250080658, dated 08 / 09 / 2025, page 6 / 27 2 / 9
[06] In addition, market devices have several faults in the drive system and constant wear of the moving components, resulting in several inconveniences to users due to constant downtime for maintenance and the high cost of carrying out these repairs.
[07] Thus, TV or monitor lifting devices advertised on the market lack an integrated system that allows greater control over movement and greater management of information by the user, thus ensuring greater safety and less wear on the movement components.
[08] Thus, the present inventor, seeking to improve the efficiency of TV or monitor lifting devices embedded in furniture, has developed an electronic module that can be integrated into any TV lift model, allowing the up and down movement to be activated via remote control, dry contact (switch), DC voltage input (trigger), current sensor control, and external devices such as applications.
[09] In a search of the state of the art, we identified several documents that describe TV lifting devices, among which we can highlight the following documents:
[010] Document US8678523 (Carr James. 2011) describes an outdoor elevator assembly, having an elevator device whose moving part is movable between the primary position inside the dwelling and the secondary position outside the dwelling.
[011] Document US20090218174 (RNR. 2008) describes a TV lift pedestal for use with a cable that has a cable arranged over a pulley, where the cable includes the end attached to the extendable member. Petition 870250080658, dated 09 / 08 / 2025, p. 7 / 27 3 / 9 and the other end of the cable attached to one of the rear and support plates.
[012] Document 20200375356 (Touchstone Home. 2019) describes a lift for televisions or other visual displays, comprising a base, a support element fixed to the base, an upper support element with an upper unit and a lower unit telescopically engaged with the lower support element.
[013] Document US7043810 (Bober Wieslaw, 2003) describes a decorative cabinet that has a vertically arranged elevator within a box-type structure, and a control module receiving commands from the limit switch for direct elevator movement.
[014] Document CN210219226 (Suzhou Handy, 2019) describes an electrically operated wall-mounted TV rack, equipped with a motor installed in the base, a rod body whose upper part is fixed to the upper fixing structure, a lower sliding seat plate fixedly connected to the display, where the motor is located in the lower part of the rod body.
[015] Document CN201134866 (Gong Ning. 2007) describes a flat panel TV lift, which has a control unit connected to the transmission component, and a lifting component with a frame and lifting bar, and guide devices installed at both ends of the sliding blocks on the lifting bar.
[016] Document CN211525870 (Guangzhou. 2019) describes a TV lift that has a linear bearing sleeve on the guide rail, where the middle part of the lifting plate is fixedly connected to the chain by pin and the front part of the lifting structure is provided with a TV mounting seat. Petition 870250080658, dated 08 / 09 / 2025, page 8 / 27 4 / 9
[017] Document CN213333190 (Shenzhen. 2020) describes a lifting device that has a fixing rod, the upper end of which is provided with a fixing rod, where the inner part of the fixing rod is provided with the main body of the TV and the two sides of the fixing rod are provided with a disassembly structure that is provided with a radiating structure.
[018] These documents cited in the state of the art mostly describe constructive forms applied in TV or monitor lifting devices, but do not describe and claim means of control and management through an electronic module integrated into the device.
[019] Thus, the present invention relates to an electronic module applied to a television or monitor lift device equipped with an algorithm that allows managing and controlling the raising, lowering and stopping of a television or monitor lift device, ensuring smooth movements with an acceleration ramp at the beginning and deceleration at the end. This electronic module allows the device to be activated via remote control, dry contact (switch), DC voltage input (trigger), by monitoring the television set current through a current sensor, and external devices such as applications. [034] The electronic module applied in a television lift device, object of the present invention, comprises an electronic module (100) internally equipped with an electronic board (not shown) and, on its front portion, has a power supply connector (20), at a voltage of 110-220V, which allows the arrangement of a 3-way plug (20A), connection point for the IR receiver (21) with indicator light (21A), connection point for the external IR extender (22) with indicator light (22A) and status indicator light (23). In addition, it has plug connection points (24) for activating the functions.
[035] The module (10) has a power supply point (30) for connecting the TV power cable, as shown in Figures 1 and 2.
[036] The module (100) is installed inside the furniture (200) close to the lifting device (300), so that the electrical connection for powering the device (300) and TV (not shown) is derived from the module (100), as shown in Figure 3. Petition 870250080658, dated 08 / 09 / 2025, page 11 / 27 7 / 9
[037] The module (100) is equipped with several possibilities for operating the lifting device (300), such as:
[038] Via remote control: This involves operating the lifting device (300) using the remote control and IR (infrared) receiver that come with the product. The IR receiver (21B) is connected to port (21) of the module and the other end is positioned in a location that allows operation by the remote control using the up and down buttons, as shown in Figure 4.
[039] Via dry contact (switch): This involves closing the contact between two points to raise the elevator. When the contact is opened, the elevator descends. This actuation method allows automation with relay output or wall switch. The plug (25) is connected to the port (24) of the module (10) in order to position the cables in the 12V (24A) and IN 5-12V (24B) derivations, thus allowing that when the contact of the wires of the cable coming out of the terminal is closed, the device (300) will activate the up mode. If we open the contact, the device (300) will activate the down mode, as shown in Figure 5.
[040] Via DC voltage input and output (trigger), between 5V and 12V: This consists of inserting a DC voltage between 5V and 12V in the appropriate location so that the elevator goes up. Removing this voltage, the elevator goes down. The plug (25) is connected to the port (24) of the module (10) so as to position the cable on the IN 5-12V (24B), OUT 12V (24C) and GND (24D) derivations, and the USB end on the TV, as shown in Figures 6.
[041] Via television current monitoring (current sensor): This consists of recording the power consumption generated by the television or monitor when it is switched on and off, using a processor that reads the outlet connected to the module where the television or monitor is plugged in. After recording, every time that Petition 870250080658, dated 08 / 09 / 2025, page 12 / 27 8 / 9 When the television or monitor is turned on or off, it will generate a change in the consumption value at the outlet connected to the module where the television is connected, and according to what was recorded, the elevator will be activated. When the television or monitor is turned on, the module sends the command to raise the elevator. When the television or monitor is turned off, the module sends the command to lower the elevator.
[042] The current sensor and DC voltage input (between 5V and 12V) drives are applied for the use of only one remote control, from the television or monitor, to turn on the device and activate the elevator automatically, as shown in Figure 7.
[043] The elevator device (300) goes up and down by means of a linear actuator (not shown) which has a motion sensor (motion sensor). The sensor reading allows the electronic module (10) through an algorithm to know precisely where the elevator is within its travel (less than 1mm), and to record the stopping point on the way up, since the maximum points are determined by reading this same sensor which, if it does not detect movement within a certain time range, stops the motor.
[044] In addition, through the motion sensor, which allows identifying the location of the device (300), it performs, through its reading, the acceleration and deceleration of the actuator so that there is a smoothing at the beginning and end of the stroke, regardless of the type of actuation: through the IR remote control, current sensor, dry contact or DC voltage input (trigger).
[045] Every time the elevator is connected to the electrical network, the actuator performs the movement to the end of the descent stroke to enable its use, thus Petition 870250080658, dated 09 / 08 / 2025, p. 13 / 27 9 / 9 has module (10) reads that device (300) is at the initial point to go up.
[046] The precision in movement and stopping point, acceleration and deceleration ramps are the differentiating factors of this product. Both the stopping points and the acceleration and deceleration ramps are generated through readings from the motion sensor, with data stored in the module. The stopping point on the descent is automatically determined by the module when connected to the power supply and with the actuator connected to it. The module detects the absence of movement at the motion sensor and requests the motor to stop; at this instant, the end-of-travel point of the descent is recorded. Regarding the stopping point on the ascent, it is determined through recording via the remote control or application, where the data from the motion sensor's travel is stored. The acceleration and deceleration ramps are data generated by the manufacturer and cannot be altered by the user.
[047] Mobile application: The electronic board (not shown) of module (100) allows the device to connect to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth networks, enabling the module (100) to be connected via a specific application installed on a mobile device, enabling the activation of the equipment and adjustment of settings.
[048] Module (100) is also equipped with an auditory interface signaling activations and configuration adjustments, facilitating adjustments and settings by the user.
[049] The module (100) through its WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity can be connected to another device, so that through its display the user can perform the activations and configuration adjustments. This connection can also be made via cable.
