Description

1 / 4 “CONTAINER WITH DEVICE FOR TRANSFERRING CATALYTIC AGENT TO THE CONTAINER WITH INK”

[001] This descriptive report refers to a patent application for an invention, being the creation of a set of containers with a transfer device, intended for adding a catalytic component to the interior of another container containing a pressurized paint or solution in aerosol form. This type of paint, contained in the container, needs to be catalyzed to promote curing when used and applied / exposed outdoors, being used for surface protection. The innovation of this application lies in the structure of the assembly, that is, the container containing the paint, which needs to be catalyzed, will have a catalytic agent that will allow controlled transfer between the containers, both under pressure, ensuring the efficient mixing of the catalyst with the paint or liquid to be catalyzed, without the chemical reaction being consumed in the process. Technical comments:

[002] It is widely known by professionals in the painting and related fields that certain paints, especially two-component paints, require catalytic agents for proper curing and drying. Due to this need for catalysis and dilution, these paints acquire greater resistance and durability due to the requirement for catalysis before use; in addition, they have the advantage of faster drying, regardless of climatic conditions such as variations in humidity or temperature.

[003] However, such paints, like epoxy paint, polyurethane paint, and others, require a catalysis process and generally must be handled on workbenches, where the catalyst is added in the correct proportion and mixed properly to ensure the paint is homogeneous. This process requires the use of mixers and other specific equipment, and after proper preparation, its application is done with professional tools. Petition 870250077099, dated 08 / 29 / 2025, page 5 / 9 2 / 4 as air compressor-powered paint guns, due to the high complexity of preparation, the handling of these paints should be carried out by professionals in the painting field or by people more familiar with the subject to ensure each type of paint is correctly mixed / homogenized.

[004] As is also public knowledge, such mixtures between paints, with their respective catalysts and ready-made spray or aerosol paint cans are impractical, since epoxy and polyurethane paints need to be catalyzed before use. This limits access for the amateur user, who is not familiar with mixing, therefore, they would be prevented from doing certain jobs, such as DIY, crafts and other applications that require a quality finish from these aerosol paints.

[005] As an example, during the searches, document BR102022013777-3, filed on 12 / 07 / 2022, entitled DEVICE SERVED FOR PAINT CANS, was identified. This document describes a device that facilitates the extraction of paint, especially from large cans.The device attaches directly to the original can lid, without the need to remove it. Simply drill a hole; after opening the original paint can lid and drilling the hole, the device will be pressure-fitted, securing it firmly. This allows for more controlled paint extraction due to its shape and configuration: a fold in the middle of the body and a slight tapering at the outlet. These features direct the paint flow more precisely. Furthermore, the device has an attached lid, preventing loss and allowing the paint outlet to be closed when not in use, preserving the integrity of the product stored in the can. Petition 870250077099, dated 08 / 29 / 2025, page 6 / 9 3 / 4 Patent objective:

[006] Considering the difficulties and limitations in using an aerosol paint can due to the catalytic component problem that would prevent the supply of epoxy paints, as well as polyurethane or any other paints, or even liquids in aerosol systems that require catalysis by a specific component for their curing, the applicant for this registration application developed the present device. The proposed object includes a container containing the catalytic component, allowing the user to perform catalysis in a practical and safe way, that is, the user only needs to follow the very simple instructions for use that come in the manual to obtain a properly catalyzed paint in an aerosol system, enabling its application without the need for professional or difficult-to-use equipment.

[007] The container with transfer device is not exclusively restricted to two-component and / or catalyzed paints, and can be used in any aerosol system that contains a liquid solution confined under pressure and requires the controlled addition of a catalytic agent to activate the compound.

[008] Explaining the container set in context, it can be better understood through the figures presented, which follow in the attachment.

[009] Figure 1 - This figure shows the device in perspective from its top;

[010] Figure 2 - This figure shows the second device in a cutaway perspective;

[011] Figure 3 - This figure shows the transfer device already installed in the catalytic component container. Petition 870250077099, dated 08 / 29 / 2025, page 7 / 9 4 / 4

[012] Figure 4 - View of container A containing the ink desired by the user;

[013] Figure 5 - View demonstrating the action of transferring catalytic component B to the container containing ink A, using the transfer device;

[014] Figure 6 - View of container A of the already catalyzed paint, with the spray nozzle ready for use.

[015] According to the attached figures, the “CONTAINER WITH DEVICE FOR TRANSFERRING CATALYTIC AGENT TO THE CONTAINER WITH INK” of the present patent application consists of a container (B) containing a catalytic component and equipped at its top with an outlet tube (1). A transfer device (2), this, consisting of a coupling nozzle (3), a receiving chamber (4), from which a conduit (5) projects. Finally, a container (A) containing the liquid to be catalyzed, in the example in question here, the ink.

[016] For its use, the user will attach the transfer device (2) to the outlet tube (1) through its receiving chamber (4), fixing this transfer device (2) to the container (B). With the container (B) ready for use, it can be attached to the container (A). To do this, the coupling nozzle (3) will be inserted into the orifice (6) of the container (A). With this action, the coupling nozzle will open the internal valve of the container (A), allowing the catalytic component to enter through the conduit (5) of the transfer device (2) into the interior of the container (A). Therefore, at this moment, the polymerization action of the paint inside will begin, and after this, the user inserts the spray nozzle (7) into the orifice (6) and, shaking for a few seconds, the container (A) will be ready for use and application.
