Abstract

ASPHALT MIXTURE PREPARATION AND ASPHALTING PROCESSES UNDER REDUCED DEPOSITION TEMPERATURES, ASPHALT MIXTURE COMPOSITION AND USE OF ASPHALT MIXTURE COMPOSITION.The present invention relates to a process for preparing an asphalt mixture composition, wherein said process comprises: (1) supplying asphalt composition and heating said composition to a temperature in the range of 150 to 175 °C; (2) supplying granular material and heating said material to a temperature in the range of 130 to 170 °C; (3) supplying one or more heat-shrinkable reactive compounds; (4) adding one or more heat-shrinkable reactive compounds supplied in (3) to the asphalt composition obtained in (1) and homogenizing the mixture for a period in the range of 2 to 180 s; and (5) adding the mixture obtained in (4) to the granular material obtained in (2) and homogenizing the slurry for a period in the range of 5 to 180 s, wherein the temperature of the resulting asphalt mixture composition is in the range of 130 to 155 °C.Furthermore, the present invention relates to an asphalt mixture composition obtained or obtainable by the aforementioned process, its use, and an asphalting process under reduced deposition temperatures.
