Cooling cable 108 can have a variety of lengths depending on the length required by the specific implementation. As a non-limiting example, cooling cable 108 can be 3 meters (10 feet). As another non-limiting example, cooling cable 108 can be 8 meters (25 feet). Yet another non-limiting example, cooling cable 108 can be 15 meters (50 feet).

[0018] With continued reference to Figure 1, system 100 may include a cooling connector 112. A “cooling connector,” as used in this description, is a connector that connects two devices and provides the Petition 870250026076, dated 01 / 04 / 2025, page 14 / 230 / 105 cooling flow. The cooling cable 108 can be mechanically connected to the cooling connector 112. The cooling connector 112 can be disposed at one end of the cooling cable 108. The cooling connector 112 can be configured to couple to a corresponding cooling port on an electric vehicle. For the purposes of this description, a “cooling connector” is a device adapted to connect a device to provide fluidic communication. For the purposes of this description, a “cooling port” is a section on a device to be charged, disposed to receive a cooling connector. “Fluidic communication,” as used in this description, is an attribute in which two or more relationships interact with each other through a fluidic flow or fluid in general. As a non-limiting example, fluidic communication can be generated between a refrigerant source 104 and an electric aircraft.

In some cases, the fitting may be permanent. In some cases, the fitting may be removable but requires a specialized tool or wrench for removal. The connection can be achieved by means of one or more plug and socket fittings, pogo pin contacts, crown spring connectors, and the like. In some cases, the connection may be keyed to ensure proper alignment of the connection line. In some cases, the connection may be lockable. A “port,” as used in this description, is an interface, for example, an interface configured to receive another component or an interface configured to transmit and / or receive a signal in a computing device. As a non-limiting example, a port may include a cooling port that can be configured to fit into a connector. Petition 870250026076, dated 01 / 04 / 2025, page 16 / 230 / 105 of cooling 112 and transmit a flow of refrigerant. As another non-limiting example, a port may include a cooling port that can be configured to fit into a cooling connector and transmit power. As another non-limiting example, a port may include a data port. A “data port,” as used in this description, is a port that is used for data communication. As used in this description, “communication” is an attribute where two or more relations interact with each other, for example, within a specific domain or in a certain way.

[0021] With continued reference to Figure 1, in some embodiments, the cooling connector 112 may include a fastener. In some embodiments, the cooling connector 112 may be configured to fit into a door of an electric vehicle by means of one or more pressure fasteners. As used in this description, a “fastener” is a physical component that is designed and / or configured to connect or fasten two (or more) components together. The cooling connector 112 may include one or more connecting components or mechanisms, for example, without limitation fasteners, threads, fittings, inclined helical springs and the like. As used in this description, a “pressure fastener” is a fastener that couples a first surface to a second surface when the two surfaces are pressed together. Some snap fasteners include elements on the first surface that interlock with elements on the second surface; such fasteners include, without limitation, Velcro fasteners, such as the VELCRO fasteners produced by Velcro Industries BV Limited Liability Company of Curaçao, Netherlands, and fasteners held together by a plurality of flanged or mushroom-shaped elements, such as the 3M DUAL LOCK fasteners manufactured by the 3M Company of Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA. The snap fastener may also include adhesives, including... Petition 870250026076, dated 01 / 04 / 2025, page 17 / 230 / 105 reusable gel adhesives, GECKSKIN adhesives developed by the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Amherst, Massachusetts, USA, or other reusable adhesives. When a snap fastener includes an adhesive, the adhesive may be located entirely on the first surface of the snap fastener or on the second surface of the snap fastener, allowing any surface that can adhere to the adhesive to serve as the corresponding surface. In some cases, the 112 connector may be connected to the port by means of magnetic force. For example, the 112 connector may include one or more magnetic, ferromagnetic and / or electromagnet materials. The fastener may be configured to provide a removable connection between the 112 connector and the port.As used in this description, "removable connection" is an attributive term referring to an attribute of one or more relationships to be connected and subsequently detached from other relationships; a removable connection is a relationship that is the opposite of a permanent connection in that two or more relationships can be connected without any means for future detachment. Non-limiting examples of permanent connection methods include certain uses of adhesives, glues, nails, engineering interference fits (i.e., pressure), and the like. In some cases, the detachment of two or more permanently connected relationships may result in the breakage of one or more of the two or more relationships.

[0022] With continued reference to Figure 1, in some embodiments, the cooling connector 112 may include a proximity sensor. As used in this description, a “proximity sensor” is a sensor that is configured to detect at least one phenomenon related to a device, such as, but not limited to, the cooling connector 112 that is fitted to another device, such as, but not limited to, a port on an electric vehicle. The proximity sensor may include any sensor described in this description, including, without limitation, a switch, a capacitive sensor, a capacitive displacement sensor, an effect sensor. Petition 870250026076, dated 01 / 04 / 2025, page 18 / 230 / 105 Doppler, an inductive sensor, a magnetic sensor, an optical sensor (such as, without limitation, a photoelectric sensor, a photocell, a laser rangefinder, a passive charge-coupled device, a passive thermal infrared sensor and the like), a radar sensor, a reflection sensor, a sonar sensor, an ultrasonic sensor, a fiber optic sensor, a Hall effect sensor and the like. In some embodiments, the proximity sensor may be electrically communicative with a proximity signal conductor. In some embodiments, the cooling cable 108 may include a proximity signal conductor. As used in this description, a “proximity signal conductor” is a conductor configured to carry a proximity signal. As used in this description, a “proximity signal” is a signal that is indicative of information about a connector location. As a non-limiting example, a proximity signal might indicate the connection of a 112 cooling connector to a cooling port on an electric aircraft. In some cases, a proximity signal might include an analog signal, a digital signal, an electrical signal, an optical signal, a fluidic signal, or similar signals.

[0023] With continued reference to Figure 1, in some embodiments, the system 100 may include a cable reel module 116. The cable reel module 116 may include a cable reel 120 (also referred to as a “reel”). For the purposes of this description, a “cable reel module” is the portion of a cooling system containing a reel that houses a cooling cable when the cooling cable is housed. For the purposes of this description, a “reel” is a rotating device around which an object can be wrapped. The reel 120 is rotatably mounted on the cable reel module 116. For the purposes of this description, “rotatingly mounted” means mounted so that the Petition 870250026076, dated 01 / 04 / 2025, page 19 / 230 / 105. The mounted object can rotate relative to the object on which the mounted object is mounted. The 120 reel may have a cylindrical shape. In one embodiment, the 120 reel may be positioned horizontally as shown without limitation in Figure 1 and Figures 3A and B. In another embodiment, the 120 reel may be positioned vertically. In some embodiments, the 120 reel may be positioned diagonally. Additionally, when the cooling cable 108 is in a housed configuration, the cooling cable is wound around the reel 120. As a non-limiting example, the cooling cable 108 may be in the housed configuration as shown without limitation in Figure 1. In the housed configuration, the cooling cable 108 need not be completely wound around the reel 120.As a non-limiting example, a portion of the cooling cable 108 may hang freely from the reel 120 even when the cooling cable 108 is in the housed configuration. In the housed configuration, the cooling cable 108 may be wound in a single layer around the reel 120. The reel 120 may include a helical pattern for the cooling cable 108 to wind around. The helical pattern may be presented as grooves and ribs on a surface of the reel 120. The helical pattern may be described in further detail in relation to Figure 3. With continued reference to Figure 1, in some embodiments, the cable reel module 116 may include a tension drum 122. A “tension drum,” as used herein, is a freely rotating part. The tension drum 122 may be hollow or filled. In some configurations, a tensioner drum 122 may be parallel to the cable reel 120.In one embodiment, the tensioning drum 122 may be placed above or below the cable reel 120 so that the housed cooling cable 108 is between the cable reel 120 and the tensioning drum 122. In some embodiments, the system 100 may include one or more tensioning drums. For example, there may be one drum. Petition 870250026076, dated 01 / 04 / 2025, p. 20 / 230 / 105 tensioner above cable reel 120 and a tensioner drum below cable reel 120. The tensioner drum 122 can apply pressure to the cooling cable 108 to retain the cooling cable 108 in the helical grooves of the reel 120. The tensioner drum 122 can provide a resultant force during an unwinding of the cooling cable 108. This occurs due to the fact that the tensioner drum 122 is rotating freely. For the purposes of this description, “free rotation” means that you are able to rotate it with little to no resistance. “Unwinding,” as used in this document, is the act of extending or prolonging. For example, unwinding cooling cable 108 means releasing cooling cable 108 from cable reel 120 to place it closer to a vehicle / device to be fitted. In some embodiments, during the unwinding of the cooling cable 108, the cable reel 120 may be rotating in a reverse direction, discussed further below. In an embodiment where a reverse direction is counterclockwise, the tensioning drum 122 may be rotating clockwise or vice versa. The counterclockwise movement of cable reel 120 can cause an opposing rotation in the tensioning drum 122. The opposing rotations can allow the cooling cable 108 to be pushed off the cable reel 120. Without the tensioning drum 122, the rotation of cable reel 120 alone may not push the cooling cable 108 off the cable reel 120 without the assistance of a person, robot, or similar device that can provide a pulling force, pulling the cooling cable 108 off the cable reel 120. The addition of a tensioning drum 122 facilitates cooling, as the cooling cable 108 can be heavy and difficult to pull manually.

[0024] With continued reference to Figure 1, in some embodiments, the cable reel module 116 may include a rotation mechanism 124. A “rotation mechanism”, for the purposes of this description, is a mechanism that is configured to cause another object to be subjected to Petition 870250026076, dated 01 / 04 / 2025, page 21 / 230 / 105 rotary motion. As a non-limiting example, the rotation mechanism may include a rotary actuator. An actuator may include a machine component that is responsible for moving and / or controlling a mechanism or system. An actuator may, in some cases, require a control signal and / or a power source. In some cases, a control signal may have relatively low power. Exemplary forms of control signal include electrical potential or current, pneumatic pressure or flow, or hydraulic fluid pressure or flow, mechanical force / torque or speed, or even human power. In some cases, an actuator may have a power source other than the control signal. This may include a primary power source which may include, for example, electrical power, hydraulic power, pneumatic power, mechanical power and the like.In some cases, upon receiving a control signal, an actuator responds by converting the power supply into mechanical motion. In some cases, an actuator can be understood as a form of automation or automatic control. As a non-limiting example, the 124-speed rotary mechanism may include an electric motor. As another non-limiting example, the 124-speed rotary mechanism may include a servomotor. Yet another non-limiting example, the 124-speed rotary mechanism may include a stepper motor. In some embodiments, the 124-speed rotary mechanism may include a compatible element. For the purposes of this description, a “compatible element” is an element that creates force through elastic deformation. As a non-limiting example, the 124 rotation mechanism may include a torsion spring, wherein the torsion spring may deform elastically when the 120 reel is rotated, for example, in the forward direction; this would cause the torsion spring to exert torque on the 120 reel, causing the 120 reel to rotate in the reverse direction when released. The 124 rotation mechanism is configured to rotate the 120 reel in a reverse direction. In some embodiments, the rotation mechanism... Petition 870250026076, dated 01 / 04 / 2025, page 22 / 230 / 105 The 124 can be configured to rotate the spool 120 in a forward direction. Forward and reverse directions are opposite directions of rotation. As a non-limiting example, forward rotation can be clockwise, while reverse rotation can be counterclockwise, or vice versa. As a non-limiting example, rotation in the forward direction can cause the cooling cable 108 to extend, while rotation in the reverse direction can cause the cooling cable 108 to retract, or vice versa. [0036] With continued reference to Figure 1, in some embodiments, the charging connector may include a DC pin. The DC pin provides DC power. “DC power” for the purposes of this description refers to a unidirectional flow of charge. For example, in some embodiments, the DC pin may provide power with constant current and voltage. As another example, in other embodiments, the DC pin may provide power with varying current and voltage, or varying current and constant voltage, or constant current and varying voltage. In another embodiment, when the charging connector is charging certain types of batteries, the DC pin may support a varying charging pattern. In some embodiments, the reel lever 140 may be configured to send a first lever signal to the controller 204 provided that the reel lever 140 is pressed or otherwise engaged. Additionally, the controller 204 may be configured to send the retraction signal to the rotating mechanism 124 provided that the controller 204 is receiving the first lever signal. In this way, a user can control when the rotating mechanism 124 retracts the cooling cable 108 by engaging and disengaging the reel lever 140.In other embodiments, the single engagement of the reel lever, for any amount of time, may be sufficient to fully house the cooling cable 108. In some embodiments, the reel lever 140 may be configured to send a second lever signal to the controller 204. The second lever signal may cause the controller 204 to send an extension signal. The extension signal may be sent by the controller 204 to the rotating mechanism 124. In some embodiments, the reel lever 140 may be configured to send the second lever signal to the controller 204 provided that the reel lever 140 is pressed or otherwise engaged. Additionally, the... Petition 870250026076, dated 01 / 04 / 2025, page 41 / 230 / 105 controller 204 can be configured to send the extension signal to the rotation mechanism 124 provided that the controller 204 is receiving the second lever signal. In this way, a user can control when the rotation mechanism 124 extends the cooling cable 108 by engaging and disengaging the reel lever 140. In some embodiments, pushing or otherwise engaging the reel lever 140 can cause the reel lever 140 to send either the first reel lever signal or the second lever signal, depending on the last signal that was sent by the reel lever 140.As a non-limiting example, if reel lever 140 is pressed or otherwise engaged for the first time, it may send a first lever signal, and if reel lever 140 is pressed or otherwise engaged for the second time, reel lever 140 may send a second lever signal. In some embodiments, if reel lever 140 is pushed or otherwise engaged for the third time, reel lever 140 may send the first lever signal.

[0046] With continued reference to Figure 2, system 200 may additionally include a reel locking lever 144. The reel locking lever 144 may be communicatively connected to the controller 204. The reel locking lever 144 may be configured to send a reel locking lever signal to the controller 204. The reel locking lever signal may cause the controller 204 to send the unlocking signal.

[0047] With continued reference to Figure 2, the controller 204 may include a machine learning model 216. The machine learning module 216 may be used to control the rotation mechanism 124 based on various cooling parameters. In one embodiment, the rotation mechanism 124 may rotate in a forward or reverse direction based on whether the cooling cable 108 is retracted or extended. The Petition 870250026076, dated 01 / 04 / 2025, page 42 / 230 / 105: Machine learning model 216 can be used to determine a position of rotation mechanism 124 to rotate. Machine learning model 216 can also be used to determine a speed, acceleration, or similar of rotation mechanism 124. Machine learning model 216 can be trained with training data that correlate cooling parameters to cooling cable positions, cooling parameters to spool rotational speeds 120, and similar. Training data may include experimental test data of rotational speeds, cooling cable positions, and similar. Cooling parameters may include time of day, electric vehicle proximity to the cooling cable, idle time, and similar. The machine learning model 216 can be used to activate the rotation mechanism 124 without user intervention, where a user could be a pilot, technician, or similar. The training data can include previous inputs and outputs of the machine learning model 216, so that the machine learning model 216 is iterative. The machine learning model 216 can be consistent with any machine learning model as discussed in this document. The machine learning model 216 can be generated using a machine learning module as discussed with reference to Figure 6.

[0048] With reference now to Figure 3A, an exemplary embodiment 300 of a cable reel 120. In one embodiment, a reel surface 120 may have ribs in a helical pattern 304. The helical pattern 304 may be similar to a nut so that there may be threads on the reel 120. As used in the present document, a “thread” is a rib of uniform cross-section in the form of a helix. A thread may have features such as a crest 308, a root 312, a thread pitch, a flank angle 316 and the like, very similar to a nut thread. A Petition 870250026076, dated 01 / 04 / 2025, page 43 / 230 / 105 “crest” is the upper part of a thread rib. A “root” is the valley of a thread rib. A “thread pitch” is a distance between threads, such as a root-to-root distance. A “flank angle” is the angle of the side connecting the crest and the root. Cooling cable 108 can be positioned between ridges 308 in the helical pattern 304, as in a root 312 of the helical pattern 304. The flank angle 316 can be configured to aid cooling around the helical pattern 304. For example, the flank angle 316 can be curved to match the profile of cooling cable 108. Cooling cable 108 can be wrapped around reel 120 so that no part of cooling cable 108 is touching other parts of cooling cable 108. In other words, cooling cable 108 can be wrapped in a single layer of coils around reel 120 in the helical pattern 304.Because of this, the total thread length in the 304 helical pattern can be greater than or equal to the length of the 108 cooling cable. In one embodiment, the total thread length can be calculated as one length of cooling cable 108 per spool of the 304 helical pattern. This number can then be multiplied by the total number of spools needed to wind the cooling cable 108 around the spool 120. The length of the spool 120 can be calculated as a function of the total thread length. The number of spools needed in the 304 helical pattern can be calculated as a function of the diameter of the spool 120 and the length of the 108 cooling cable. A pitch of the 304 helical pattern can be no smaller than a diameter of the 108 cooling cable. In one embodiment, a pitch of the 304 helical pattern can be larger than the diameter of the 108 cooling cable. For example, the crest length of 308 might be 1 / 2” while the diameter of cooling cable 108 might be 5 / 8”. In this example, the pitch of the 304 helical pattern is 1 1 / 8” which is greater than 5 / 8”. Petition 870250026076, dated 01 / 04 / 2025, page 44 / 230 / 105

[0049] With continuous reference to Figure 3A, the dimensions of the helical pattern 304 can be determined as a function of heat distribution. The helical pattern 304 can be advantageous for cooling the cooling cable 108. Due to the fact that the cooling cable 108 does not lie on itself when stored, due to the helical pattern 304, the cooling cable 108 may not heat up due to conduction and / or convection. Each coil of the cooling cable 108 can be positioned between the crests 308 of the helical pattern 304. This can aid in heat dissipation as the coils are not touching each other. The pitch of the helical pattern 304 and the crest length 308 can be selected based on the desired heat distribution to ensure adequate cooling of the cooling cable 108. Additionally, the crest height 308, which is the vertical distance between the root 312 and the crest 308, can be increased to aid heat dissipation. The height of the 308 crest may be higher than the diameter of the 108 cooling cable. In one embodiment, the 308 crest may act as cooling fins, much like the fins on a heat sink, to dissipate heat from the 108 cooling cable. In another embodiment, the 308 crest may have a length greater than the diameter of the 108 cooling cable. This may act as cooling fins, as a greater length means more surface area to dissipate heat. For example, heat may dissipate from the 108 cooling cable to the 120 reel by conduction. Then, heat may dissipate from the 120 reel of the 308 crest (which acts as cooling fins) by convection. The cross-sectional shape of the 308 crest to the root may be triangular, rectangular, or similar. The cross-sectional shape may include curved edges and the like.In some embodiments, the portion of the crest 308 that rises above the cooling cable 108 may be fin-shaped. Additionally, the reel 120 may be made of a material with a high coefficient of thermal conductivity, such as a material with a... Petition 870250026076, dated 01 / 04 / 2025, page 45 / 230 / 105 thermal conductivity greater than 230 W / mK at 20°C and 100 kPa (1 bar). For example, reel 120 may be composed of aluminum, copper, or similar materials. A high thermal conductivity for reel 120 may be important as it allows for greater heat transfer from cooling cable 108 to reel 120, which would allow for greater heat dissipation and greater cooling. Cable reel 120 may transfer heat from cooling cable 108 to an external environment, such as the ambient air. This can be done using conduction to remove heat from cooling cable 108 and convection to remove heat from the helical pattern 304 of cable reel 120.

[0050] Still referring to Figure 3B, an exemplary embodiment of an isometric view 320 of a cable reel. The isometric view 320 may show a plurality of tensioning drums 122 parallel to the cable reel 120. The cable reel 120 may be mechanically connected to a rotating mechanism 124. In one embodiment, the cable reel 120 may be mechanically connected to an electric motor. As used in this document, “mechanically connected” refers to one or more components that are connected directly or indirectly by mechanical fasteners. The mechanical fasteners may include screws, rivets, nuts, or the like. The cable reel 120 includes a helical pattern 304, in which the cable connector may reside.

[0051] With reference now to Figure 4, an exemplary embodiment of a machine learning module 400 is illustrated that can perform one or more machine learning processes as described in this description. The machine learning module can perform steps, methods, processes or similar determinations, classifications and / or analysis as described in this description using machine learning processes. A “machine learning process”, as used in this description, is a process that automatically uses training data 404 Petition 870250026076, dated 01 / 04 / 2025, page 46 / 230 / 105 to generate an algorithm that will be executed by a computing device / module to produce outputs 408 given the data provided as inputs 412; this contrasts with a software program without machine learning, in which the commands to be executed are determined in advance by a user and written in a programming language.

[0052] Still referring to Figure 4, the “training data” as used in this document is data containing correlations that a machine learning process can use to model relationships between two or more categories of data elements. For example, and without limitation, 404 training data may include a plurality of data inputs, where each input represents a set of data elements that were recorded, received, and / or generated together; the data elements may be correlated by shared existence in a given data input, by proximity in a given data input, or similar.Multiple data entries in 404 training data can reveal one or more trends in correlations between categories of data elements; for example, and without limitation, a larger value of a first data element belonging to a first category of data element may tend to correlate with a larger value of a second data element belonging to a second category of data element, indicating a possible proportional relationship or other mathematical relationship linking values belonging to the two categories. Multiple categories of data elements can be related in 404 training data according to various correlations; the correlations may indicate causal and / or predictive links between categories of data elements, which can be modeled as relationships, such as mathematical relationships, by machine learning processes, as described in more detail below.Training data for 404 errors can be formatted and / or organized by categories of data elements, for example, by associating them. Petition 870250026076, dated 01 / 04 / 2025, page 47 / 230 / 105 data elements with one or more descriptors corresponding to categories of data elements. As a non-limiting example, 404 training data may include data entered into standardized forms by people or processes, such that the entry of a given data element into a given field on a form can be mapped to one or more category descriptors. The elements in the 404 training data can be linked to category descriptors by tags, tokens, or other data elements; for example, and without limitation, the 404 training data can be provided in fixed-length formats, wherein formats link data link positions to categories, such as comma-separated value (CSV) formats and / or self-descriptive formats, such as Extensible Markup Language (XML), JavaScript Object Notation (JSON), or similar, allowing processes or devices to detect data categories.

[0053] Alternatively or additionally, and with continued reference to Figure 4, 404 training data may include one or more elements that are not categorized; that is, 404 training data may not be formatted or may contain descriptors for some data elements. Machine learning algorithms and / or other processes may classify 404 training data according to one or more categorizations using, for example, natural language processing algorithms, token application, detection of correlated values in raw data, and the like; categories may be generated using correlation and / or other processing algorithms. As a non-limiting example, in a body of text, expressions that constitute a number “n” of compound words, such as names modified by other names, can be identified according to a statistically significant prevalence of n grams containing such words in a particular order; as an n gram can be categorized as a language element, such as a... Petition 870250026076, dated 01 / 04 / 2025, page 48 / 230 / 105 “word” to be tracked similarly to single words, generating a new category as a result of statistical analysis. Similarly, in a data entry including some textual data, a person's name can be identified by reference to a list, dictionary, or other compendium of terms, allowing ad hoc categorization by machine learning algorithms and / or automated data association in the data entry with descriptors or in a specific format. The ability to automatically categorize data entries may enable the same 404 training data to be applicable to two more machine learning algorithms as described in further detail below. The 404 training data used by the 400 machine learning module can correlate any input data as described in this description to any output data as described in this description. As a non-limiting illustrative example, flight elements and / or pilot signals can be inserted, where an output can be a standalone function.

[0054] With further reference to Figure 4, the training data may be filtered, stored, and / or selected using one or more supervised and / or unsupervised machine learning processes and / or models as described in further detail below; such models may include, without limitation, the training data classifier 416. The training data classifier 416 may include a “classifier” which, as used in this description, is a machine learning model as defined below, such as a mathematical model, neural network, or program generated by a machine learning algorithm known as a “classification algorithm,” as described in further detail below, which classifies the inputs into categories or data bins, outputting the categories or data bins and / or labels associated therewith.A classifier can be configured to output at least one piece of data that identifies, or otherwise identifies, a set. Petition 870250026076, dated 01 / 04 / 2025, page 49 / 230 / 105 of data that is grouped together, considered close in a distance metric, as described below, or similar. The machine learning module 400 can generate a classifier using a classification algorithm, defined as processes by which a computing device and / or any module and / or component operating on it derives a classifier from the training data 404.Classification can be performed using, without limitation, linear classifiers such as logistic regression and / or naive Bayes classifiers, nearest neighbor classifiers such as k-nearest neighbor classifiers, support vector machines, least squares support vector machines, Fisher linear discriminant, quadratic classifiers, decision trees, boosted trees, random forest classifiers, learning vector quantization, and / or neural network-based classifiers. As a non-limiting example, classifier 416 training data can classify training data elements into subcategories of flight elements such as torques, forces, momentum, directions, and the like.

[0055] Still referring to Figure 4, the machine learning module 400 can be configured to perform a lazy learning process 420 and / or protocol, which can alternatively be referred to as a “lazy loading” or “call-on-demand” process and / or protocol, can be a process by which machine learning is conducted after receiving an input to be converted into an output, combining the input and the training set to derive the algorithm to be used to produce the output on demand. For example, an initial set of simulations can be performed to cover an initial heuristic and / or “first guess” on an output and / or relationship. As a non-limiting example, an initial heuristic might include a classification of associations between inputs and training data elements 404. The heuristic can Petition 870250026076, dated 04 / 01 / 2025, page 50 / 230 / 105 include selecting some number of higher-ranking associations and / or 404 training data elements. Slow learning may implement any suitable slow learning algorithm, including, without limitation, a K-nearest neighbors algorithm, a naive slow Bayes algorithm, or similar; persons skilled in the art, after reviewing this entire description, will be aware of various slow learning algorithms that can be applied to generate outputs as described in this description, including, without limitation, slow learning applications of machine learning algorithms as described in further detail below.

[0056] Alternatively or additionally, and with continuous reference to Figure 4, the machine learning processes as described in this description can be used to generate machine learning models 424. A “machine learning model”, as used in this description, is a mathematical and / or algorithmic representation of a relationship between inputs and outputs as generated using any machine learning process including, without limitation, any process as described above, and stored in memory; an input is sent to a machine learning model 424 once created, which generates an output based on the relationship that was derived. For example, and without limitation, a linear regression model generated using a linear regression algorithm can compute a linear combination of input data using coefficients derived during machine learning processes to calculate a given output. As a further non-limiting example, a 424 machine learning model can be generated by creating an artificial neural network, such as a convolutional neural network comprising an input layer of nodes, one or more intermediate layers, and an output layer of nodes. Connections between nodes can be created via the process of “training” the network, in which elements from a 404 training dataset are applied to the input nodes, an algorithm of... Petition 870250026076, dated 01 / 04 / 2025, page 51 / 230 / 105 Appropriate training (such as Levenberg-Marquardt, nested gradient, annealing simulation, or other algorithms) is then used to adjust the connections and weights between nodes in adjacent layers of the neural network to produce the desired values in the output nodes. This process is sometimes referred to as deep learning.

[0057] Still referring to Figure 4, machine learning algorithms may include at least one supervised machine learning process 428. At least one supervised machine learning process 428, as defined herein, includes algorithms that receive a training set relating a number of inputs to a number of outputs and seek to find one or more mathematical relationships relating inputs to outputs, where each of the one or more mathematical relationships is optimal according to some criterion specified for the algorithm using some scoring function. For example, a supervised learning algorithm might include flight elements and / or pilot signals as described above as inputs, autonomous functions as outputs, and a scoring function that represents a desired form of relationship to be detected between inputs and outputs; the scoring function might, for example, seek to maximize the probability that a given input and / or combination of input elements is associated with a given output to minimize the probability that a given input is not associated with a given output. The scoring function can be expressed as a risk function that represents an “expected loss” of an algorithm relating inputs to outputs, where the loss is computed as an error function that represents the degree to which a prediction generated by the relationship is incorrect when compared to a given input-output pair provided in the 404 training data. Those versed in the technique, after reviewing this entire description, will be aware of several possible variations of at least one learning process. Petition 870250026076, dated 01 / 04 / 2025, page 52 / 230 / 105 supervised machine learning 428 that can be used to determine the relationship between inputs and outputs. Supervised machine learning processes may include classification algorithms as defined above.

[0058] With further reference to Figure 4, machine learning processes may include at least 432 unsupervised machine learning processes. An unsupervised machine learning process, as used in this document, is a process that derives inferences from datasets without considering labels; as a result, an unsupervised machine learning process may be free to ascertain any structure, relationship, and / or correlation provided in the data. Unsupervised processes may not require a response variable; unsupervised processes may be used to find interesting patterns and / or inferences between variables, to determine a degree of correlation between two or more variables, or similar variables.

[0059] Still referring to Figure 4, the machine learning module 400 can be designed and configured to create a machine learning model 424 using techniques for developing linear regression models. Linear regression models can include common least squares regression, which aims to minimize the square of the difference between predicted and actual results according to an appropriate norm for measuring such a difference (e.g., a space-vector distance norm); the coefficients of the resulting linear equation can be modified to improve minimization. Linear regression models can include rib regression methods, where the function to be minimized includes the least squares function plus the term that multiplies the square of each coefficient by a scalar quantity to penalize large coefficients. Linear regression models can Petition 870250026076, dated 01 / 04 / 2025, page 53 / 230 / 105, includes least absolute reduction and selection operator (LASSO) models, in which rib regression is combined with multiplication of the least squares term by a factor of I divided by twice the number of samples. Linear regression models may include a multitasking Lasso-type model in which the norm applied to the least squares term of the Lasso-type model is the Frobenius norm, which is equivalent to the square root of the sum of the squares of all terms.Linear regression models may include the elastic network model, a multitasking elastic network model, a least-angle regression model, a LARS loop model, an orthogonal matching search model, a Bayesian regression model, a logistic regression model, a stochastic gradient descent model, a perceptron model, a passive-aggressive algorithm, a robustness regression model, a Huber regression model, or any other suitable model that may occur to persons skilled in the art upon reviewing this entire description.

[0060] Linear regression models can be generalized into a form of polynomial regression models, whereby a polynomial equation (e.g., a quadratic, cubic, or higher-order equation) is sought that provides a better fit of predicted output / actual output; methods similar to those described above can be applied to minimize error functions, as will become apparent to those skilled in the art upon reviewing this entire description.

[0061] With continued reference to Figure 4, machine learning algorithms may include, without limitation, linear discriminant analysis. The machine learning algorithm may include quadratic discriminant analysis. Machine learning algorithms may include kernel vein regression. Machine learning algorithms may include support vector machines, including, without limitation, regression processes based on vector classification. Petition 870250026076, dated 01 / 04 / 2025, page 54 / 230 / 105 support. Machine learning algorithms may include stochastic gradient descent algorithms, including classification and regression algorithms based on stochastic gradient descent. Machine learning algorithms may include nearest neighbor algorithms. Machine learning algorithms may include Gaussian processes, such as Gaussian Process Regression. Machine learning algorithms may include cross-decomposition algorithms, including partial least squares and / or canonical correlation analysis. Machine learning algorithms may include naive Bayes methods. Machine learning algorithms may include decision tree-based algorithms, such as decision tree classification or regression algorithms.Machine learning algorithms can include ensemble methods such as bagging metaestimator, randomized tree forest, AdaBoost, gradient tree boosting, and / or voting classification methods. Machine learning algorithms can also include neural network algorithms, including convolutional neural network processes.

[0062] With reference now to Figure 5, an exemplary embodiment of a 500 aircraft is illustrated. The 500 aircraft may include an electrically powered aircraft (i.e., electric aircraft). In some embodiments, the electrically powered aircraft may be an electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. The electric aircraft may be capable of rotor-based cruise flight, rotor-based takeoff, rotor-based landing, fixed-wing cruise flight, airplane-style takeoff, airplane-style landing, and / or any combination thereof. “Rotor-based flight” as described in this description is that in which the aircraft generates lift and propulsion by means of one or more powered rotors coupled to an engine, such as a quadcopter, multirotor helicopter, or other vehicle that retains its lift primarily using propellers. Petition 870250026076, dated 01 / 04 / 2025, page 55 / 230 / 105 downward thrust. “Fixed-wing flight”, as described in this description, is when the aircraft is capable of flying using wings and / or blades that generate lift caused by the speed of the air ahead of the aircraft and by the shape of the wings and / or blades, as in airplane-style flight.

[0063] With reference to Figure 5, aircraft 500 may include a fuselage 504. As used in this description, a “fuselage” is the main body of an aircraft or, in other words, the entire aircraft except the cockpit, nose, wings, empennage, nacelles, any and all control surfaces, and generally contains the payload of an aircraft. Fuselage 504 may comprise structural elements that physically support the shape and structure of an aircraft. Structural elements may take a plurality of forms, alone or in combination with other types. Structural elements may vary depending on the type of aircraft construction and, specifically, the fuselage. Fuselage 504 may comprise a truss structure. A truss structure may be used with a light aircraft and may include welded aluminum tube trusses.A truss, as used in this document, is an assembly of beams that creates a rigid structure, often in combinations of triangles to create three-dimensional shapes. A truss structure may alternatively comprise titanium construction instead of aluminum tubing or a combination thereof. In some embodiments, the structural elements may comprise aluminum tubing and / or titanium beams. In one embodiment, and without limitation, the structural elements may include an aircraft skin. The aircraft skin may be layered in the form of a truss-constructed body. The aircraft skin may comprise a plurality of materials, such as aluminum, fiberglass, and / or carbon fiber, the latter of which will be discussed in more detail later in this article.

[0064] Still referring to Figure 5, aircraft 500 may include Petition 870250026076, dated 01 / 04 / 2025, page 56 / 230 / 105 a plurality of actuators 508. The actuator 508 may include any motor and / or propeller described in this description, for example, with reference to Figures 1 to 12. In one embodiment, the actuator 508 may be mechanically coupled to an aircraft. As used herein, a person skilled in the art would understand “mechanically coupled” to mean that at least a portion of a device, component, or circuit is connected to at least a portion of the aircraft via a mechanical coupling. The aforementioned mechanical coupling may include, for example, rigid couplings such as beam couplings, bellows couplings, pin and bushing couplings, constant velocity couplings, split sleeve couplings, diaphragm couplings, disc couplings, threaded couplings, elastic couplings, flexible couplings, fluid couplings, gear couplings, grid couplings, Hirth couplings, hydrodynamic couplings, jaw couplings, magnetic couplings, Oldham couplings, sleeve couplings, tapered shaft couplings, double spring couplings, rag joint couplings, universal joints, or any combination thereof. As used in this description, an “aircraft” is a vehicle that can fly. As a non-limiting example, aircraft may include airplanes, helicopters, airships, balloons, gliders, paramotors, and the like.In one embodiment, the mechanical coupling can be used to connect the ends of adjacent parts and / or objects of an electric aircraft. Additionally, in another embodiment, the mechanical coupling can be used to join two pieces of rotating components of an electric aircraft.

[0065] With continued reference to Figure 5, a plurality of 508 actuators can be configured to produce a torque. As used in this description, a “torque” is a measure of force that causes an object to rotate about a geometric axis in a direction. For example, and without limitation, torque can rotate an aileron and / or rudder to generate a force that Petition 870250026076, dated 01 / 04 / 2025, page 57 / 230 / 105 may adjust and / or affect altitude, airspeed, ground speed, direction during flight, and / or thrust. For example, the plurality of actuators 508 may include a component used to produce a torque that affects the roll and pitch of the aircraft, such as, without limitation, one or more ailerons. An “aileron,” as used in this description, is a suspended surface that forms part of the trailing edge of a wing on a fixed-wing aircraft, and which may be moved via mechanical means, such as, without limitation, servomotors, mechanical linkages, or the like. As a further example, the plurality of actuators 508 may include a rudder which may include, without limitation, a segmented rudder that produces a torque around a vertical geometric axis.Additionally or alternatively, the plurality of actuators 508 may include other flight control surfaces, such as propellers, rotary flight controls, or any other structural features that can adjust the movement of the aircraft 500. The plurality of actuators 508 may include one or more rotors, turbines, ducted fans, paddle wheels, and / or other components configured to propel a vehicle through a fluid medium including, but not limited to, air.

[0066] With reference to Figure 5, the plurality of actuators 508 may include at least one propulsion component. As used in this description, a “propulsion component” or “propeller” is a component and / or device used to propel a vessel by exerting force on a fluid medium, which may include a gaseous medium, such as air, or a liquid medium, such as water. In one embodiment, when a propeller rotates and pulls air behind it, it simultaneously pushes an aircraft forward with a quantity of force and / or thrust. More air pulled behind the aircraft results in greater thrust with which the aircraft is propelled forward. The propulsion component may include any device or component that consumes electrical power on demand to propel a Petition 870250026076, dated 01 / 04 / 2025, page 58 / 230 / 105 electric aircraft in a direction or other vehicle while on the ground or in flight. In one embodiment, the propulsion component may include an extractor component. As used in this description, an “extractor component” is a component that pulls and / or tows an aircraft through a medium. As a non-limiting example, the extractor component may include a flight component, such as an extractor propeller, an extractor motor, an extractor propeller, and the like. Additionally or alternatively, the extractor component may include a plurality of extractor flight components. In another embodiment, the propulsion component may include a pusher component. As used in this description, a “pusher component” is a component that pushes and / or propels an aircraft through a medium. As a non-limiting example, the pusher component may include a pusher component, such as a pusher propeller, a pusher motor, a pusher thruster, and the like. Additionally or alternatively, the pusher flight component may include a plurality of pusher flight components.

[0067] In another embodiment, and still with reference to Figure 5, the propeller may include a propeller, a propeller blade, or any combination of the two. A propeller may function to convert the rotary motion of an engine or other power source into a rotating airflow that can push the propeller forward or backward. The propeller may include a rotary power-driven concentrator to which several radial airfoil blades may be attached, so that the entire assembly rotates around a longitudinal geometric axis.

[0068] As a non-limiting example, the propeller blade pitch of propellers may be fixed at a fixed angle, manually variable to some defined positions, automatically variable (e.g., a “constant speed” type), and / or any combination thereof as further described in this description. As used in this description, a Petition 870250026076, dated 01 / 04 / 2025, page 59 / 230 / 105 “fixed angle” is an angle that is fixed and / or substantially immobile from a point of attachment. As a further non-limiting example, a fixed angle may be an angle of 3.6° outward and / or 2.7° backward. In one embodiment, the propellers for an aircraft may be designed to be fixed relative to their concentrator at an angle similar to the thread in a nut forming an angle relative to the axis; this angle may be referred to as a pitch or pitch angle which may determine a forward speed of movement as the propeller blade rotates. Additionally or alternatively, the propeller component may be configured as having a variable pitch angle. As used in this description, a "variable pitch angle" is an angle that can be moved and / or rotated. For example, and without limitation, the propelling component may be angled at a first angle of 3.3° inward, whereupon the propelling component may be rotated and / or displaced at a second angle of 1.7° outward.

For example, the power source may be able to provide sufficient power for “cruise” and other relatively low-power phases of flight. A power source may also be able to provide electrical power for Petition 870250026076, dated 01 / 04 / 2025, page 61 / 230 / 105 some phases of higher flight power also, particularly when the power source is at a high SOC, as may be the case, for example, during takeoff. In one embodiment, the power source may include an emergency power unit that may be capable of providing sufficient electrical power for auxiliary loads including, without limitation, lighting, navigation, communications, de-icing, steering, or other systems requiring power or energy. Additionally, the power source may be capable of providing sufficient power for controlled descent and landing protocols, including, without limitation, hovering descent or runway landing. As used in this document, the power source may have high power density in that the electrical energy that a power source can usefully produce per unit volume and / or mass is relatively high.As used in this description, "electrical energy" is a rate of electrical energy per unit time. An energy source may include a device for which the power that can be produced per unit volume and / or mass has been optimized, for example, at the expense of maximum total specific energy density or power capacity.Non-limiting examples of items that can be used as at least one power source include batteries used for starting applications, including lithium-ion batteries which may include NCA, NMC, lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) and lithium manganese oxide (LMO) batteries, which may be mixed with other cathode chemistry to provide more specific power if the application requires it; lithium metal batteries, which have a lithium metal anode that provides high power on demand; lithium-ion batteries which have a silicon or titanite anode; the power source may be used, in one embodiment, to provide electrical power to an electric aircraft or drone, such as an electric aerial vehicle, during times requiring high power output rates, including, without limitation, takeoff, landing, thermal de-icing and situations requiring higher power output for stability reasons, such as situations of... Connecting batteries in series can increase the potential of at least one power source, which can provide more power on demand. High-potential batteries may require cell matching when high peak load is needed. As more cells are connected in sequences, there may be a possibility of a cell failing, which can increase the resistance in the module and reduce the overall power output, as the module voltage may decrease as a result of that cell failure.Connecting batteries in parallel can increase the total current capacity by decreasing the total resistance, and can also increase the overall ampere-hour capacity. The overall power and energy outputs of at least one energy source can be based on the individual battery cell performance or on an extrapolation based on the measurement of at least one electrical parameter. In one embodiment... If a cell exhibits high self-discharge during demand, the power drawn from at least one power source may be reduced to prevent damage to the weaker cell. The power source may additionally include, without limitation, wiring, conduit, housing, cooling system, and battery management system. Those skilled in the art will be aware, after reviewing this entire description, of many different components of a power source.

[0074] With reference to Figure 5, according to some embodiments, a power source may include an emergency power unit (EPU) (i.e., auxiliary power unit). Exemplary essential non-limiting systems include navigation systems such as MFD, GPS, VOR receiver or directional gyroscope, and other essential flight components such as thrusters.

[0075] Still referring to Figure 5, another exemplary actuator may include landing gear. The landing gear can be used for takeoff and / or landing. The landing gear can be used to be in contact with the ground while the aircraft 500 is not in flight.

[0076] With further reference to Figure 5, aircraft 500 may include a pilot control 512, including, without limitation, a hover control, a thrust control, a receiver stick, a cyclic and / or a collective control. As used in this description, a “collective control” or “collective” is a mechanical control of an aircraft that allows a Petition 870250026076, dated 01 / 04 / 2025, page 64 / 230 / 105 pilot adjust and / or control the pitch angle of the plurality of actuators 508. For example, and without limitation, collective control may alter and / or adjust the pitch angle of all main rotor propeller blades collectively. For example, and without limitation, pilot control 512 may include a crosshead control. As used in this description, a “crosshead control” is a mechanical control of an aircraft to control pitch and / or roll. [0078] Still referring to Figure 5, the 500 aircraft may include a loading system. A loading system may include a system configured to load an aircraft with cargo or personnel. For example, some exemplary loading systems may include a swing nose that is configured to rotate the nose of the 500 aircraft from the path, thereby allowing direct access to a cargo opening located behind the nose. A notable swing nose aircraft is the Boeing 747.

[0079] With further reference to Figure 5, aircraft 500 may include a sensor 516. Sensor 516 may include any noise monitoring sensor or circuit described in this description, for example, in reference Petition 870250026076, dated 01 / 04 / 2025, page 66 / 230 / 105, Figures 1 to 12. Sensor 516 can be configured to detect a pilot control characteristic 512. The sensor can be a device, module and / or subsystem, using any hardware, software and / or any combination thereof to detect a characteristic and / or changes thereof, in an instantaneous environment, for example, without limitation, a pilot control 512 to which the sensor is close or otherwise in a detected communication, and transmit information associated with the characteristic, for example, without limitation, digitized data. Sensor 516 can be mechanically and / or communicatively coupled to aircraft 500, including, for example, at least one pilot control 512. Sensor 516 can be configured to detect a characteristic associated with at least one pilot control 512.An environmental sensor may include, without limitation, one or more sensors used to detect ambient temperature, barometric pressure and / or air speed, one or more motion sensors which may include without restriction gyroscopes, accelerometers, inertial measurement unit (IMU) and / or magnetic sensors, one or more humidity sensors, one or more oxygen sensors or similar. [0080] With reference to Figure 5, in some embodiments, sensor 516 can be configured to detect a feature associated with any pilot control described in this description. Non-limiting examples of a sensor 516 may include an inertial measurement unit (IMU), a Petition 870250026076, dated 01 / 04 / 2025, page 67 / 230 / 105 accelerometer, a gyroscope, a proximity sensor, a pressure sensor, a light sensor, a Pitot tube, an airspeed sensor, a position sensor, a speed sensor, a switch, a thermometer, a strain gauge, an acoustic sensor, and an electrical sensor. In some cases, the 516 sensor may detect a characteristic as an analog measurement, for example, by producing a continuously varying electrical potential indicative of the detected characteristic. In such cases, the 516 sensor may additionally comprise an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) as well as any additional circuitry such as, without limitation, a Whetstone bridge, an amplifier, a filter, and the like. An ADC can then digitize the analog signal and produce a digital signal that can then be transmitted to other systems within the aircraft 500, for example, without limitation, a computing system, a pilot display, and a memory component. Alternatively or additionally, the sensor 516 can digitally detect a characteristic of a pilot control 512. [0081] Still referring to Figure 5, the 500 electric aircraft can Petition 870250026076, dated 04 / 01 / 2025, page 68 / 230 / 105, includes at least one 524 motor, which can be mounted on a structural feature of the aircraft. The design of the 524 motor may allow it to be installed externally to a structural element (such as a boom, nacelle, or fuselage) for easy maintenance access and to minimize the accessibility requirements of the structure. This can improve structural efficiency by requiring fewer large holes in the mounting area. In some embodiments, the 524 motor may include two main holes at the top and bottom of the mounting area to access the bearing cartridge. Additionally, a structural feature may include a component of the 500 electric aircraft. For example, and without limitation, the structural feature may be any portion of a vehicle incorporating the 524 motor, including any vehicle as described in this description. As a further non-limiting example, a structural feature may include, without limitation, a wing, a spar, a stabilizer, a fuselage, or any part thereof; persons skilled in the art, upon reviewing this entire description, will be aware of many possible features that may function as at least one structural feature. At least one structural feature may be constructed of any suitable material or combination of materials, including, without limitation, metal, such as aluminum, titanium, steel, or similar materials, polymeric or composite materials, fiberglass, carbon fiber, wood, or any other suitable material. As a non-limiting example, at least one structural feature may be constructed from additively fabricated polymeric material with a carbon fiber exterior; aluminum parts or other elements may be enclosed for structural strength, or for support purposes, for example, against vibration, torque, or shear stresses imposed by at least one thruster. Persons skilled in the art, after reviewing this entire description, will be aware of various materials, combinations of materials, and / or construction techniques.

[0082] Still referring to Figure 5, the 500 electric aircraft can Petition 870250026076, dated 01 / 04 / 2025, page 69 / 230 / 105, includes a vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. As used in this document, a vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft is one that can hover, take off, and land vertically. An eVTOL, as used in this document, is an electrically powered aircraft that typically uses a power source from a plurality of power sources to power the aircraft. In order to optimize the power and energy required to propel the aircraft, the eVTOL may be capable of rotor-based cruise flight, rotor-based takeoff, rotor-based landing, fixed-wing cruise flight, airplane-style takeoff, airplane-style landing, and / or any combination thereof.Rotor-based flight, as described in this document, is when the aircraft generates lift and propulsion by means of one or more powered rotors coupled to an engine, such as a quadcopter, multirotor helicopter, or other vehicle that maintains its lift primarily using downward thrust propellers. Fixed-wing flight, as described in this document, is when the aircraft is capable of flying using wings and / or blades that generate life caused by the aircraft's forward speed and the shape of the wings and / or blades, such as airplane-style flight.

[0083] With continued reference to Figure 5, various aerodynamic forces can act on the Electric 500 aircraft during flight. The forces acting on the Electric 500 aircraft during flight may include, without limitation, thrust, the forward force produced by the rotating element of the Electric 500 aircraft and acting parallel to the longitudinal geometric axis. Another force acting on the Electric 500 aircraft may be, without limitation, drag, which can be defined as a retarding force caused by the interruption of airflow by any protruding surface of the Electric 500 aircraft, such as, without limitation, the wing, rotor, and fuselage. Drag can oppose thrust and acts rearward, parallel to the relative wind. An additional force acting on the Electric 500 aircraft may Petition 870250026076, dated 01 / 04 / 2025, page 70 / 230 / 105, includes, without limitation, weight, which may include a combined load of the Electric 500 aircraft itself, crew, baggage and / or fuel. Weight may pull the Electric 500 aircraft downward due to the force of gravity. An additional force acting on the Electric 500 aircraft may include, without limitation, lift, which may act to oppose the downward force of weight and may be produced by the dynamic effect of air acting on the airfoil and / or downward thrust of the Electric aircraft's propeller. The lift generated by the airfoil may depend on the airflow velocity, air density, total area of an airfoil and / or segment thereof and / or an angle of attack between the air and the airfoil. For example, and without limitation, the Electric 500 aircraft are designed to be as light as possible. Reducing the aircraft's weight and designing to reduce the number of components are essential for optimizing weight. To conserve energy, it may be useful to reduce the weight of components of the 500 electric aircraft, including, but not limited to, propellers and / or propulsion assemblies. In one embodiment, the 524 motor can eliminate the need for many external structural features that might otherwise be required to join one component to another. The 524 motor can also increase energy efficiency by enabling a lower physical propeller profile, reducing drag and / or wind resistance. This can increase durability by decreasing the extent to which drag and / or wind resistance add forces acting on the 500 electric aircraft and / or propellers.

[0084] Now with reference to Figures 6A and 6B, an exemplary embodiment of a 600 charging connector is illustrated. For example, and without limitation, the screen may display an amperage or voltage of electrical power being transferred to the electric aircraft power source. The screen may also display a calculated amount of time until the power source is charged to a desired amount (e.g., desired state of charge). The screen may also display data detected by components, such as a sensor, connector, and / or electric aircraft. For example, and without limitation, the screen may display the temperature of an electric aircraft power source. In one exemplary embodiment, a user may actuate, for example, a switch on control 632 to initiate cooling of a component of connector 600 and / or electric aircraft in response to information and / or data displayed on the connector 600 screen. The initiation of cooling of one or more embodiments of connector 600 may include a coolant source that displaces a coolant within a cooling channel as further discussed in this description below.

[0088] With continued reference to Figure 6A, the fitting component 668 of the 604 sheath may include a fastener. In some embodiments, the charging cable 708 may carry AC and / or DC power to a charging connector 712. The charging cable may include a sheath, wherein the sheath surrounds the conductor or conductors of the charging cable 708. As another non-limiting example, the sheathing of the 708 charging cable may comprise nylon. The 708 charging cable may be of a variety of lengths depending on the length required for the specific implementation. As a non-limiting example, the 708 charging cable may be 3 meters (10 feet) long. As another non-limiting example, the 708 charging cable may be 8 meters (25 feet) long. Furthermore... [00105] With continued reference to Figure 7, system 700 may include a charging connector 712.

[00106] Charging cable 707 can be electrically connected to charging connector 712. Charging connector 712 can be disposed of at one end of charging cable 708. Charging connector 712 can be configured to couple to a corresponding charging port on an electric aircraft. For the purposes of this description, a “charging connector” is a device adapted to electrically connect a device to be charged with a power source. For the purposes of this description, a “charging port” is a section on a device to be charged, disposed to receive a charging connector.

[00107] With continued reference to Figure 7, charging connector 712 may include a variety of pins adapted to fit into a charging port disposed of on an electric aircraft. An “electric aircraft” for the purposes of this description refers to a machine that is capable of flight by obtaining air support and generates substantially all of its energy from electricity. As a non-limiting example, the electric aircraft may be capable of vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) or conventional takeoff and landing (CTOL). As another non-limiting example, the electric aircraft may be capable of both VTOL and CTOL. As a non-limiting example, the electric aircraft may be capable of sideways flight. As a non-limiting example, the electric aircraft may be capable of hovering. The electric aircraft may include a variety of electric propulsion devices; including, as non-limiting examples, pushers, pullers, lifting devices and the like. The variety of pins included in the 712 charging connector may include, but are not limited to, examples. Petition 870250026076, dated 01 / 04 / 2025, p. 90 / 230 / 105 a set of pins chosen from an alternating current (AC) pin, a direct current (DC) pin, a ground pin, a communication pin, a sensor pin, a proximity pin, and the like. In some embodiments, the 712 charging connector may include more than one of the pin types mentioned above.

[00108] With continued reference to Figure 7, for the purposes of this description, a “pin” can be any type of electrical connector. An electrical connector is a device used to join electrical conductors to create a circuit. As a non-limiting example, in some embodiments, any 712 charging connector pin can be the male component of a pin and a socket connector. In other embodiments, any 712 charging connector pin can be the female component of a pin and a socket connector. As a further example of an embodiment, a pin can have a switching component. A switching component is a part of an electrical connector that prevents the electrical connector components from mating in an incorrect orientation. As a non-limiting example, this can be accomplished by making the male and female components of an electrical connector asymmetrical.Additionally, in some embodiments, one or more charging connector pins of a 712 connector may include a locking mechanism. For example, as a non-limiting example, any 712 charging connector pin may include a locking mechanism to lock the pins in place. The 712 charging connector pin or pins may each be of any of the various types of electrical connectors described above, or they could all be of the same type of electrical connector.

[00109] A person skilled in the art, after reviewing this entire description, would understand that a wide variety of electrical connectors may be suitable for this application.

[00110] With continuous reference to Figure 7, in some modalities, Petition 870250026076, dated 01 / 04 / 2025, p. 91 / 230 / 105: Charging connector 712 may include a DC pin. This involves varying the voltage or current supplied during the charging process in order to reduce or minimize battery degradation.Examples of DC power flow include half-wave rectified voltage, full-wave rectified voltage, voltage supplied from a battery or other DC switching power source, a DC converter such as a step-down or boost-up converter, voltage supplied by a DC dynamo or other generator, voltage from photovoltaic panels, output voltage from fuel cells or similar.

[00111] With continued reference to Figure 7, in some embodiments, the charging connector may include an AC pin. An AC pin supplies AC power. For the purposes of this description, “AC power” refers to AC power endowed with a bidirectional flow of charge, wherein the charge flow is periodically reversed. The AC pin may supply AC power at a variety of frequencies. For example, in a non-limiting embodiment, the AC pin may supply AC power at a frequency of 50 Hz. In another non-limiting embodiment, the AC pin may supply AC power at a frequency of 60 Hz. A person skilled in the art, after reviewing this entire description, would realize that the AC pin may supply a wide range of frequencies. AC power produces a waveform when plotted on a graph of Petition 870250026076, dated 01 / 04 / 2025, p. 92 / 230 / 105 current versus time or voltage versus time. In some embodiments, the waveform of the AC power supplied by an AC pin may be a sinusoidal wave. In other embodiments, the waveform of the AC power supplied by an AC pin may be a square wave. In some embodiments, the waveform of the AC power supplied by an AC pin may be a triangular wave. In still other embodiments, the waveform of the AC power supplied by an AC pin may be a sawtooth wave. The AC power supplied by an AC pin may, in general, have any waveform, provided that the waveform produces a bidirectional flow of charge.AC power may be supplied without limitation from alternating current generators, "grid" power supplied on an AC power grid from power plants, AC power output from AC voltage converters including transformer-based converters, and / or AC power output from inverters that convert DC power, as described above, into AC power. For the purposes of this description, "supply," "provides," "supply," and the like include both actual supply and supply capability. For example, an active pin that "supplies" DC power need not be currently supplying DC power; it may also be capable of supplying DC power.

[00112] With continued reference to Figure 7, in some embodiments, the 712 charging connector may include a grounding pin. A grounding pin is an electronic connector that is connected to ground. For the purpose of this description, “grounding” is the reference point from which all voltages for a circuit are measured. “Grounding” may include either a connection to ground, a chassis ground, where all metallic parts of a device are electrically connected. In some embodiments, “grounding” may be a floating ground. Grounding may alternatively or additionally refer to a channel. Petition 870250026076, dated 01 / 04 / 2025, page 93 / 230 / 105 “common” or “return” channel in some electronic systems. For example, a chassis ground may be a floating ground when the potential is not equal to the ground. In some embodiments, a negative pole in a DC circuit may be grounded. A “grounded connection” for the purposes of this description is an electrical connection to “ground”. A circuit may be grounded in order to increase safety in the event of a fault developing, to absorb and reduce static charge, and the like. Generally, a grounded connection allows electricity to pass through the grounded connection to the ground, rather than passing, for example, through a human who has come into contact with the circuit. Additionally, grounding a circuit helps to stabilize voltages within the circuit.

[00113] With continued reference to Figure 7, in some embodiments, the charging connector 712 may include a communication pin. A communication pin is an electronic connector configured to carry electrical signals between components of the charging system 700 and components of an electric aircraft. As a non-limiting example, the communication pin may carry signals from a controller in a charging system (e.g., the controller 204 described with reference to Figure 2) to a controller on board an electric aircraft, such as a flight controller or battery management controller. A person skilled in the art would recognize, after having reviewed this entire description, that the communication pin could be used to carry a variety of signals between components.

[00114] With continued reference to Figure 7, the 712 charging connector may include a variety of additional pins. As a non-limiting example, the 712 charging connector may include a proximity sensing pin. The proximity sensing pin does not have any current flowing through it when the connector is in use. Petition 870250026076, dated 01 / 04 / 2025, p. 94 / 230 / 105 charging connector 712 is not connected to a port. Once the charging connector 712 is connected to a port, then the proximity detection pin will have current flowing through it, allowing the controller to detect, using this current flow, that the charging connector 712 is connected to a port.

[00115] With continuous reference to Figure 7, system 700 includes a cable reel module 716. The cable reel module 716 includes a reel 720. For the purposes of this description, “a cable reel module” is the portion of a charging system containing a reel that houses a charging cable when the charging cable is housed. For the purposes of this description, a “reel” is a rotating device around which an object can be wrapped. The reel 720 is rotatably mounted on the cable reel module 716. For the purposes of this description, “rotatingly mounted” means mounted so that the mounted object can rotate relative to the object on which the mounted object is mounted. The reel 720 may be cylindrical in shape. The reel 720 may be positioned horizontally. Additionally, when charging cable 708 is in a housed configuration, the charging cable is wrapped around reel 720.In the housed configuration, the 708 charging cable does not need to be completely wrapped around the 720 reel. As a non-limiting example, a portion of the 708 charging cable may hang freely from the 720 reel even when the 708 charging cable is in the housed configuration. In the housed configuration, the 708 charging cable may be wrapped in a single layer around the 720 reel. The 720 reel includes a helical pattern for the 708 charging cable to wrap around. The helical pattern may be presented as grooves and ribs on a surface of the 720 reel.

[00116] With continued reference to Figure 7, cable reel module 716 includes a tension drum 722. A “tension drum”, as used Petition 870250026076, dated 01 / 04 / 2025, page 95 / 230 / 105 in this document, is a freely rotating part. The tensioning drum 722 may be hollow or filled. A tensioning drum 722 is parallel to the reel 720. In one embodiment, the tensioning drum 722 may be placed above or below the reel 720 so that the housed charging cable 708 is between the reel 720 and the tensioning drum 722. The system 700 may include one or more tensioning drums. For example, there may be a tensioning drum above reel 720 and a tensioning drum below reel 720. The tensioning drum 722 may apply pressure to the charging cable 708 to retain the charging cable 708 in the helical grooves of reel 720. The sensor drum 722 may provide a resultant force during unwinding of the charging cable 708. This occurs due to the fact that the tensioning drum 722 is rotating freely. For the purposes of this description, “free rotation” means that it is capable of rotating with little to no resistance. “Unwinding,” as used herein, is the act of extending or lengthening. For example, unwinding the charging cable 708 means releasing the charging cable 708 from the reel 720 to bring it closer to a vehicle / device to be attached. In some embodiments, when unwinding the charging cable 708, the reel 720 may be rotating in a reverse direction, discussed further below. In an embodiment where a reverse direction is counterclockwise, the tensioning drum 722 may be rotating clockwise or vice versa. The counterclockwise movement of the reel 720 causes an opposing rotation in the tensioning drum 722. The opposing rotations may allow the charging cable 708 to be pushed off the reel 720.Without the tensioning drum 722, the rotation of the reel 720 alone may not push the charging cable 108 out of the reel 720 without assistance from a person, robot, or similar device that can provide pulling force, pulling the charging cable 108 from the reel 720. The addition of a tensioning drum 722 allows for easier charging, as the charging cable 708 can be heavy and difficult to pull. Petition 870250026076, dated 01 / 04 / 2025, p. 96 / 230 / 105 manually.

[00117] With continued reference to Figure 7, cable reel module 716 includes a rotation mechanism 724. A “rotation mechanism” for the purposes of this description is a mechanism that is configured to cause another object to undergo rotary motion. Exemplary forms of control signal include electric potential or current, pneumatic pressure or flow, or hydraulic fluid pressure or flow, mechanical force / torque or speed, or even human power. In some cases, an actuator may have a power source other than the control signal. This may include a primary power source which may include, for example, electrical power, hydraulic power, pneumatic power, mechanical power, and the like. In some cases, upon receiving a control signal, an actuator responds by converting the power source into mechanical motion. In some cases, an actuator may be understood as a form of automation or automatic control. As a non-limiting example, the 724 rotary mechanism may include an electric motor. As another non-limiting example, the 724 rotary mechanism may include a servomotor. Yet another non-limiting example, the 724 rotary mechanism may include a stepper motor. In some embodiments, the 724 rotary mechanism may include a compatible element. Petition 870250026076, dated 01 / 04 / 2025, page 97 / 230 / 105. The 720 reel is rotated, for example, in the forward direction; this would cause the torsion spring to exert torque on the 720 reel, causing the 720 reel to rotate in the reverse direction when released. The 724 rotation mechanism is configured to rotate the 720 reel in a reverse direction. In some embodiments, the 724 rotation mechanism may be configured to rotate the 720 reel in a forward direction. The forward direction and the reverse direction are opposite directions of rotation. As a non-limiting example, the forward direction may be clockwise, while the reverse direction may be counterclockwise or vice versa. As a non-limiting example, rotation in the forward direction may cause the 708 charging cable to extend, while rotation in the reverse direction may cause the 708 charging cable to retract, or vice versa. In some embodiments, the 724 rotation mechanism can continuously rotate the 720 reel when the 724 rotation mechanism is enabled. In some embodiments, the 724 rotation mechanism can be configured to rotate the 720 reel by a specific number of degrees. In some embodiments, the 724 rotation mechanism can be configured to deliver a specific torque to the 720 reel. As a non-limiting example, this may be the case where the 724 rotation mechanism is a torque motor. The 724 rotation mechanism can be electrically connected to the 704 power source.
