[002] Automatic pet toilets are known. They are particularly useful in areas where it may be difficult for a pet owner to find appropriate outdoor locations for the disposal of pet feces and urine. The best way to dispose of pet feces and urine is through the municipal sewer system. US patent 8,434,426 discloses an automatic pet toilet that has a concave container and a central drain hole. Flushing and draining occur by gravity. The container has a grate, which is undesirable as it is difficult to clean and can retain particles of matter. After the animal finishes eliminating waste and leaves the container, this movement is detected again.
