Description
1 / 39 DEVICES AND TRANSMISSION METHODS FOR CONFIGURED CONCESSION FIELD
[001] The modalities of this disclosure generally relate to the field of communication and to devices, methods and a non-transient computer-readable means for transmission for configured grant (CG). BACKGROUND
[002] New Radio (NR), also called 5th generation mobile network (5G), is a new global wireless standard following 1G, 2G, 3G and 4G networks. NR enables a new type of network designed to connect virtually everyone and everything, including machines, objects and devices. NR wireless technology was created to deliver higher multi-Gbps peak data speeds, ultra-low latency, greater reliability, massive network capacity, higher availability and a more seamless user experience for more users. Increased performance and improved efficiency provide new user experiences and connect new industries.
[003] Augmented Reality (XR) is a broad term encompassing Augmented Reality (AR), Mixed Reality (MR), Virtual Reality (VR), etc. Along with Cloud Computing, XR applications typically require high throughput and low latency, as well as having a large packet size and variable data packet size. To meet the requirement for low latency and large packet size, it was decided in the Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) to configure a terminal device, such as User Equipment (UE), with multiple Configured Grant (CG) occasions (TOs) for Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) transmission within a single CG PUSCH configuration. Then the packet can be transmitted in all or parts of the configured TOs immediately if it reaches the UE. Whereas the device of Petition 870250089671, dated 02 / 10 / 2025, page 9 / 64 2 / 39 network, such as a 5G base station (gNB), does not know the actual size of an XR packet and how many TOs would be used by the UE, the number of TOs occupied by the UE may be less than the configured number of TOs, meaning that some TOs would be wasted. Therefore, further enhancement in transmission to CG is necessary. SUMMARY

Note that the embodiments of this disclosure apply equally to other resources in other domains.
[046] Fig. 1 illustrates an example of a network environment 100 in which examples of embodiments of the present disclosure can be implemented. The environment 100, which may be part of a communication network, comprises terminal devices and network devices.
[047] As illustrated in Fig. 1, the communication network 100 may comprise a terminal device 110 (hereinafter also referred to as user equipment 110 or UE 110). The communication network 100 may further comprise a network device 120. The network device 120 may manage a cell 101. The terminal device 110 and the network device 120 may communicate data and control information with each other within the cell coverage. A link from the network device 120 to the terminal device 110 is called a downlink (DL), while a link from the terminal device 110 to the network device 120 is called a downlink (DL). Petition 870250089671, dated 02 / 10 / 2025, page 18 / 64 The 11 / 39 link in a 120 network is called an uplink (UL).

The 100 system may include any suitable number of network devices and terminal devices adapted to implement embodiments of this disclosure. Although not shown, it would be appreciated if one or more terminal devices could be located in the 100 environment.
[049] Communications on the 100 communication network may conform to any suitable standards, including, but not limited to, Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM), LTE, LTE-Evolution, LTE-Advanced (LTE-A), Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA), Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA), GSM EDGE Radio Access Network (GERAN), Machine Type Communication (MTC), and the like. In addition, communications may be carried out in accordance with any generation of communication protocols currently known or to be developed in the future. Examples of communication protocols include, but are not limited to, first-generation (1G), second-generation (2G), 2.5G, 2.75G, third-generation (3G), fourth-generation (4G), 4.5G, and fifth-generation (5G) communication protocols.
[050] As described earlier, XR applications typically require high throughput and low latency, as well as large packet sizes and variable data packet sizes. To meet the low latency and large packet size requirements, efficient resource allocation is necessary. Currently, PUSCH transmissions can be dynamically scheduled by an uplink lease (UL) in an uplink control information (DCI), or transmissions can utilize resources configured by a configured lease (CG), which can be classified as CG. Petition 870250089671, dated 02 / 10 / 2025, page 19 / 64 12 / 39 Type 1 and CG Type 2.
[051] Configured Grant Type 1 PUSCH transmission is semi-statically configured to operate on receiving a configuredGrantConfig upper-layer parameter including rrc-ConfiguredUplinkGrant without detecting a UL grant on a DCI. Configured Grant Type 2 PUSCH transmission is semi-persistently scaled by a UL grant on a valid activation DCI upon receiving a configuredGrantConfig upper-layer parameter not including rrc-ConfiguredUplinkGrant. The UE can be configured with one or more CG configurations, and for each CG configuration, a P period and a CG type are provided.
[052] To meet the requirement for low latency and large packet size, it was agreed in 3GPP to configure multiple CG PUSCH transmission occasions (TOs) within a period of a single CG PUSCH configuration.
[053] There are several main schemes for time-domain resource allocation, including the Type A PUSCH repetition introduced in Rel-15 and the Type B PUSCH repetition introduced in Rel-16. Improvements to Type A PUSCH repetition are beneficial for improving PUSCH coverage for TDD. In Rel-17, multi-slot TB processing (TBOMS) is supported so that, for a given PUSCH transmission, the scheme among these schemes used can be configured by a higher-layer parameter. For illustrative purposes only, examples of time-domain resource allocations for some of these schemes would be described below.
[054] For a CG configuration, a SLIV can be configured for PUSCH Type A repetition, the initial symbol S relative to the start of the slot, and the number of consecutive symbols L counted from the symbol S allocated for the PUSCH are determined from the start indicator and SLIV line length. Petition 870250089671, dated 02 / 10 / 2025, p. 20 / 64 13 / 39 indexed: if (L -1) < 7 then SLIV = 14 (L-1) + S else SLIV = 14· (14 - L +1) + (14-1 - S) where 0 <L< 14-S .
[055] the number of repetitions K can be determined as: If `numberOfRepetitions` is present in the resource allocation table, the number of repetitions `K` is equal to `numberOfRepetitions`. Otherwise, if the number of repetitions K is provided by the configured parameters of the repK top layer.
[056] For Type A PUSCH repetition, in the case K>1, the same symbol allocation is applied in the K consecutive slots. The UE must repeat the TB in the K consecutive slots applying the same symbol allocation in each slot.
[057] For example, assuming that for a CG configuration, the initial slot is slot #1, S=2, L=8, K=4, then the example time-domain feature for PUSCH with Type A PUSCH repetition can be found in Fig. 2A.
[058] For Type A PUSCH replay, a PUSCH transmission in a slot of a multi-slot PUSCH transmission is omitted if any PUSCH symbol is overlapped with the slot symbol set that is indicated to a UE as a downlink by tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationCommon, or tdd-UL-DLConfigurationDedicated.
[059] For enhanced Type A PUSCH repetition, resource allocation in the time domain is almost the same as for Type A PUSCH repetition, except that the number of repetitions is counted based on available slots. In particular, a slot can be determined as unavailable if at least one of the symbols indicated by the TDRA for a PUSCH in the slot overlaps with Petition 870250089671, dated 02 / 10 / 2025, page 21 / 64 The 14 / 39 symbol not intended for UL transmissions and the semi-static flexible symbol configured by tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationCommon, or tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationDedicated, is considered available.
[060] For example, for a CG configuration, the initial slot is slot#1, S=2, L=8, K=4, then the time domain feature for PUSCH with enhanced Type A PUSCH repetition can be found in Fig.2B. For TBOMS, time-domain resource determination can be performed via Type A PUSCH repetition, such as Time Domain Resource Allocation (TDRA). The number of slots N allocated for a TBOMS transmission TB, or in other words, the number of slots N used to calculate the TBS, is determined using a row index from a TDRA list, configured via a Radio Resource Control (RRC) message, and is counted based on the available slots for UL transmission. The transmission in each slot could be referred to as a transmission portion of the TB in this disclosure. The determination of available slots is as defined in the enhanced Type A PUSCH repetition.
[061] For example, for a CG configuration, the initial slot is slot#1, S=2, L=8, N=4, then an example of a time-domain feature for PUSCH with TBOMS can be found in Fig.2C.
[062] However, gNB does not know the actual size of an XR packet and how many TOs would be used by the occupied number U of TOs may be less than the number of TOs configured. Therefore, further enhancements are needed in transmission to CG to improve resource utilization for CG.
[063] In addition, a solution is also needed to transmit multiple different TBs via multiple configured TOs when multiple CG PUSCH transmission occasions (TOs) are configured. Furthermore, when CG Type 2 is enabled by an activation DCI, a UE configured with CG Type 2 also Petition 870250089671, dated 02 / 10 / 2025, page 22 / 64 15 / 39 needs to report an aperiodic channel status information (A-CSI) report, but the TO for reporting the A-CSI may be an unused TO (as illustrated in Fig. 2D). Therefore, an A-CSI report transmission problem must be addressed. Furthermore, when multiple CG configurations are configured for UE, UE also needs to know how to indicate the unused TO when the TOs of multiple CG configurations overlap each other in the time domain (as illustrated in Fig. 2E).
[064] In view of the above discussions, the embodiments of this disclosure provide an enhanced solution for transmission for configured lease (CG). In one aspect of the solution of this disclosure, a terminal device determines indication information, wherein the indication information indicates a usage status of at least one transmission occasion (TO) or group of TOs among multiple TOs indicated by a configured lease configuration. The terminal device transmits the indication information to a network device.
[065] In this way, the use of resources for CG can be improved efficiently through indication information. In addition, other modalities or other aspects of this disclosure also provide solutions to address other issues, as mentioned previously. The principles and implementations of modalities of this disclosure will be described in detail below with reference to Figs. 3A-7. Example Method
[066] Fig. 3A illustrates an example of a signaling diagram of an example process 200A according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. For discussion purposes, example 200A will be described with reference to Fig. 1.
[067] In example process 300A, a terminal device 110 determines 310 indication information. The information of Petition 870250089671, dated 02 / 10 / 2025, page 23 / 64 16 / 39 indication can indicate a usage status of at least one transmission occasion (TO) or group of TOs among multiple TOs indicated by a configured lease setting. For example, terminal device 110 can determine indication information based on whether the TO or group of TOs is used or not. If the TO or group of TOs is used, the usage status may indicate it as “used” or not indicate it as unused; otherwise, the usage status may indicate it as unused or not indicate it as used.
[068] In some embodiments, the multiple TOs for a CG configuration may include at least two groups of TOs available to transmit at least two transmission blocks (TBs).
[069] For example, the UE can determine multiple TOs within a time duration for a first lease configuration (GC), where the time duration can be a periodicity of the first GC configuration. The UE can further determine a parameter M, where M represents a number of different TBs that can be transmitted during the time period. In this case, the UE can determine the usage status of the TOs in at least two groups and transmit indication information (e.g., a UCI) to indicate to the network device that some of the TOs among the multiple TOs are not being used. Alternatively, the UE can determine the usage status for each of at least two groups and transmit indication information (e.g., a UCI) to indicate to the network device that some of the TO groups are not being used.
[070] In some modalities, multiple TOs can be divided into at least two groups in many different ways. For illustrative purposes, reference will be made to Figs. 4A to 4C to describe various TO grouping options. Option -1 (Interaction with, for example, TBOMS)
[071] In Option 1, all TOs in each of at least two TO groups are configured to transmit a single TB, and the Petition 870250089671, dated 02 / 10 / 2025, page 24 / 64 17 / 39 at least two groups of TOs are configured to transmit different TBs. The number of at least two groups of TOs can be determined based on the number of TBs that can be transmitted within the time duration for the CG configuration.
[072] For example, if a parameter N is configured, where N represents the slot number for calculating the transport block size, then the UE can determine that M groups of TOs can be used to transmit M PUSCH transmissions and determine the number of TOs in each group as N, where the parameter N indicates the number of TOs used to transmit a single TB. In some modes, a number of TOs configured to transmit a single TB is determined based on a slot number corresponding to a transport block size, TBS.
[073] In other words, the UE can determine M*N TOs to transmit M PUSCH transmissions and the UE would transmit a single TB in N slots in a group. For example, as illustrated in Fig. 4A, suppose N=2 and M=2, then the UE can determine that 4 TOs are grouped into two TO groups to transmit 2 TBs, and each TB is transmitted by 2 slots in each TO group.
[074] In this case, the number of bits for the indication information can be determined based on a transmission parameter including any of the following: a number of at least two TBs; or a number of at least two TBs and a number of TOs configured to transmit a single TB.
[075] For example, the indication information or the UCI may indicate unused groups, and the number of bits is determined based on M. Or, alternatively, they may indicate unused TOs, and the number of bits may be determined based on M * N. Option 2 (Interaction with, for example, type A repetition)
[076] In Option 2, all TOs in each of at least two TO groups are configured to transmit different transmission blocks, and in which at least two TO groups are Petition 870250089671, dated 02 / 10 / 2025, page 25 / 64 18 / 39 configured to repeatedly transmit the same set of TBs. The number of at least two TO groups can be determined based on the number of repetitive transmissions of at least two TBs.
[077] For example, if a repetition type A is configured and a K is configured, where K indicates the number of repetitive transmissions of at least two TBs, then the UE can determine K groups of TOs to repeat M TBs, and the number of TOs in each group is M. In other words, the UE determines M*K TOs to transmit M PUSCH transmissions and the UE must repeat M TBs in M*K TOs. For example, as illustrated in Fig. 4B, suppose K=2, M=4, then the UE determines that 8TOs are grouped into two TO groups to transmit the repetition of 4 TBs.
[078] In this case, the number of bits for the indication information can be determined based on a transmission parameter, where the transmission parameter includes one of: the number of at least two TBs; or the number of at least two TBs and the number of repetitive transmissions of at least two TBs.
[079] For example, if the UCI indicates the unused groups and the number of bits is determined based on M. Or, alternatively, the UCI indicates the unused TOs and the number of bits is determined based on M*K. Option 3 (Interaction with, for example, type A repetition and TBOMS)
[080] In some embodiments, at least two TOs in each of the at least two TO groups are configured to transmit a single TB, and at least two other TOs in each of the at least two TO groups are configured to transmit another TB, and in which the at least two TO groups are configured to repeatedly transmit the same set of TBs. The number of the at least two TO groups can be determined based on the number of repetitive transmissions of the at least two TBs. Petition 870250089671, dated 02 / 10 / 2025, page 26 / 64 19 / 39
[081] For example, if a repetition type A is configured and K is configured, where K indicates the number of repetitive transmissions of at least two TBs, and a parameter N is configured, where N represents the slot number corresponding to a transport block (i.e., the slot for calculating the transport block size, TBS), then the UE can determine K groups of TOs, and each group has M TOs, and is used to transmit M TBs, and the UE can transmit each TBs through N slots. For example, as illustrated in Fig. 4C, suppose K=2, M=2 and N=2, then the UE determines 8TOs to transmit the repetition of 2 TBs, and each TB is transmitted through 2 slots.
[082] In this case, the number of bits for the indication information can be determined based on a transmission parameter, wherein the transmission parameter includes one of: a number of at least two TBs; or the number of at least two TBs and a number of TOs configured to transmit a single TB.
[083] For example, if the first UCI indicates the unused TOs in each group, the number of bits could be determined based on M. Or, alternatively, it could indicate the unused TOs, and the number of bits could be determined based on M*N.
[084] Reference is made again to Fig. 3A, terminal device 110 transmits 312 indication information to network device 120. Correspondingly, network device 120 receives indication information from terminal device 110, wherein the indication information indicates a usage status of at least one TO or group of TOs among multiple TOs indicated by a configured lease configuration. Then, based on the indication information, network device 120 determines the usage status of at least one TO or group of TOs among the multiple TOs.
[085] In this way, the network device can learn about the unused TOs in the multiple TOs indicated by the configuration of Petition 870250089671, dated 02 / 10 / 2025, page 27 / 64 20 / 39 CG can reallocate resources for, for example, other UEs or other traffic, and thus the use of resources for CG can be improved. Furthermore, some of the above modes can provide an efficient solution for transmitting multiple different TBs across multiple configured TOs when multiple CG PUSCH transmission occasions (TOs) are configured.
[086] Furthermore, when CG Type 2 is activated by an activation DCI, a UE configured with CG Type 2 also needs to report an aperiodic channel status information (A-CSI) report (as illustrated in Fig. 2D), an A-CSI report transmission must be addressed. In particular, the inventors note that currently, when a DCI 0_1 format scales two PUSCH allocations, the aperiodic CSI report is performed on the second scheduled PUSCH; when a DCI 0_1 format scales more than two PUSCH allocations, the aperiodic CSI report is performed on the penultimate scheduled PUSCH.
[087] However, for CG type 2, DCI activation can scale multiple PUSCH allocations, and some of them would not be used for XR, for example, as illustrated in Fig. 2D, the CSI must be transmitted in the penultimate PUSCH according to the current specification. However, the TO is not used and therefore cannot be used to transmit the A-CSI report. For this purpose, a solution for A-CSI transmission is provided in this document and will be described with reference to Fig. 3B.
[088] Fig. 3B illustrates an example of a signaling diagram of an example process 300B according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. For discussion purposes, example 300B will be described with reference to Fig. 1. It should be understood that process 300B can be implemented in combination with process 300A or implemented independently of process 300A as a separate aspect of the present disclosure.
[089] As illustrated in Fig. 3B, in the example process Petition 870250089671, dated 02 / 10 / 2025, page 28 / 64 21 / 39 300B, the network device transmits 320 a UL grant in DCI to terminal device 110 to activate CG features previously indicated by a CG configuration, and terminal device 110 receives 322 the uplink grant in a DCI to activate the CG features.
[090] Next, the terminal device transmits 324 an A-CSI report on a predetermined TO among multiple TOs in response to an activation indication for the CG configuration, i.e., the UL grant received to activate the CG features.
[091] In some modes, the predetermined TO is a TO not indicated as unused, and wherein the predetermined TO for transmitting the A-CSI report comprises one of: a second TO used when two TOs out of multiple TOs are not indicated as unused; a penultimate TO used when more than two TOs out of multiple TOs are not indicated as unused; a first TO in TOs not indicated as unused; or a last TO in TOs not indicated as unused.
[092] In other words, if two TOs are used among the set of TOs, the A-CSI report will be performed on the PUSCH transmission on the second TO used; if more than two TOs are used among the set of TOs, the A-CSI report will be performed on the PUSCH transmission on the penultimate TO used. Or, alternatively, the A-CSI report can be transmitted by PUSCH on the first or last TO used.
[093] In some modes, the transmission of the ACSI report comprises: transmitting the A-CSI report in the predetermined TO without a TB when the predetermined TO is indicated as unused. In other words, if the default TO for A-CSI is not used, the CSI may be transmitted without a TB:
[094] In some modes, the indication information indicates the predetermined TO for A-CSI as used or does not indicate it. Petition 870250089671, dated 02 / 10 / 2025, p. 29 / 64 22 / 39 as unused. In this way, it can be ensured that the predetermined TO can be used to transmit A-CSI. For example, it can maintain the current A-CSI transmission as defined in the specification and, meanwhile, if the second or penultimate TO used to transmit A-CSI is not used to transmit TB, the indication information indicates the second or penultimate TO for A-CSI as used or does not indicate it as unused. Or, alternatively, the indication information can indicate all multiple TOs configured by the CG configuration as used or not indicate them as unused to ensure that the predetermined TO can be used.
[095] In some embodiments, the transmission of the ACSI report comprises: transmitting the ACSI report on a TO that is used to transmit a TB; or canceling an ACSI report transmission on a TO when the TO is not used to transmit a TB. For example, it may maintain the current ACSI transmission as defined in the specification and, meanwhile, if the second or penultimate TO used to transmit the ACSI is not used, the ACSI may be canceled. In other words, the ACSI may be transmitted only when the second or penultimate TO is used for a PUSCH transmission.
[096] In some modes, an additional field may be included in the UCI to indicate whether or not the TB is ported with an A-CSI report. The field may be, for example, 1 bit.
[097] Correspondingly, network device 120 receives 326 the A-CSI report on the predetermined TO among the multiple TOs in response to an activation indication for the CG configuration.
[098] With the process illustrated in Fig. 3B, the UE knows how to transmit A-CSI even if some of the multiple TOs indicated by a CG configuration are not being used, thus ensuring the proper functioning of the terminal device.
[099] In addition, when multiple CG settings are Petition 870250089671, dated 02 / 10 / 2025, page 30 / 64 23 / 39 configured for the UE, the UE also needs to know how to indicate the unused TO when multiple TO configurations of CGs are superimposed on each other in the time domain. In particular, the inventors note that if the unused TO indication is projected by CG configuration, this means that a UCI could only be used to indicate the unused TO for one CG; the unused TO for another CG would have to be indicated by another UCI. Thus, considering that the TOs for different CGs would overlap in the time domain, there would be a case where the gNB could not know if the TO could be reused for another purpose if decided. As illustrated in Fig. 2E, if a UCI for CG 1 indicates that TO #4 is not being used, but the gNB could not use the occasion to perform another transmission because TO#7 or TO#8 is overlapping (in the time domain and / or frequency domain) with TO#4, and the UE can still use these resources TO #7 and / or TO#8 to transmit data. Thus, the gNB needs to better understand the UCI for CG 2. That is, the UCI for CG type 1 may be useless. To address this issue, an additional solution for indicating usage status is provided here and will be described with reference to Fig. 3C.
[100] Fig. 3C illustrates an example of a signaling diagram of an example process 200C according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. For discussion purposes, example 300C will be described with reference to Fig. 1. It should be understood that process 300C can be implemented in combination with either process 300A or 300B or their combination, or alternatively be implemented independently of process 300A as a separate aspect of the present disclosure.
[101] In example process 300C, terminal device 110 is configured with at least one first CG configuration and a second CG configuration. As illustrated in Fig. 3C, terminal device 110 transmits 330 first indication information for the first CG configuration to the device Petition 870250089671, dated 02 / 10 / 2025, page 31 / 64 24 / 39 network 120. The first indication information indicates that the usage status of a first TO or group of TOs is not being used. The first indication information can be ported to a first UCI. Thus, on the network side, the network device 120 receives the first indication information.
[102] Next, terminal device 110 transmits a second indication 334 for a second CG configuration to network device 120. The second indication indicates the usage status of a second TO or group of TOs. The second TO or group of TOs is at least partially overlapping in the time domain with the first TO or group of TOs. The second indication can be carried in a second UCI. Thus, on the network side, network device 120 receives the second indication 336.
[103] In some embodiments, the second indication information is configured to indicate the second TO or group of TOs to be used, or not to indicate the second TO or group of TOs to be unused, wherein the second indication information is transmitted after the first indication information by a first predetermined time period. The first predetermined time period may be predefined by the specification, standards or protocol, configured by the network device or predetermined in any other way.
[104] In other words, as long as the second UCI is transmitted after the first UCI for a first predetermined period of time, the second UCI can only indicate the TO or groups of at least partially overlapping TOs as used or must not indicate them as not used, regardless of whether the terminal device actually needs to use the TO or groups of at least partially overlapping TOs or not.
[105] For example, as illustrated in Fig. 5A, the first UCI is transmitted on TO #1 to CG1 and the second UCI is transmitted on TO #3 to CG2. The second indication information is Petition 870250089671, dated 02 / 10 / 2025, page 32 / 64 25 / 39 transmitted after the first indication information for a first predetermined period of time and therefore the second UCI can only indicate TO # 7 and TO # 8 as used, even if the terminal device does not need both TOs to transmit PUSCH.
[106] In some embodiments, the second indication information is configured to indicate the second TO or group of TOs to be used or not used, wherein the second indication information is transmitted within the same time unit or the same time window with the first time period predetermined as the first indication information. In other words, provided that the second UCI is transmitted within the same time unit (e.g., the same slot) or in the same time window (lasting, for example, slot Y), the second UCI may indicate the TO or groups of TOs that overlap at least partially as used or not used, depending on the actual requirements of the CG2 TOs.
[107] For example, as illustrated in Fig. 5B, if the second UCI is transmitted in the same time unit as the first UCI, the second UCI can indicate the usage status of TO # 7 and TO # 8 based on the actual requirements of the terminal device in CG 2.
[108] In some embodiments, the second indication information is configured to indicate the second TO or group of TOs to be used or not used, wherein the second indication information is transmitted before the second TO or group of TOs by a period of time not less than a second predetermined time period. The second predetermined time period may be predefined by specification, standards or protocol, configured by the network device or predetermined in any other way. In other words, if the second UCI is transmitted early enough before the partially overlapping TO or groups of TOs, the second UCI may indicate the TO or Petition 870250089671, dated 02 / 10 / 2025, page 33 / 64 26 / 39 groups of partially overlapping TOs are listed as used or unused, depending on the actual TO requirements of CG2.
[109] For example, as illustrated in Fig. 5C, the second UCI is transmitted on TO # 3, which is before TO # 7 and TO # by a period of time greater than X time units (e.g., slots) and therefore the second UCI can indicate the usage status of TO # 7 and TO # 8 based on the actual requirements of the terminal device in CG 2.
[110] In some embodiments, the second indication information is configured to indicate that the second TO or group of TOs will not be used, wherein the second indication information is transmitted before the second TO or group of TOs by a period of time shorter than the second predetermined time period. In other words, if the second UCI is not transmitted early enough before the partially overlapping TO or groups of TOs, the second UCI may only indicate the partially overlapping TO or groups of TOs as unused, regardless of whether the terminal device actually needs to use the partially overlapping TO or groups of TOs or not.
[111] For example, as illustrated in Fig. 5D, the second UCI is transmitted on TO # 5, which is before TO # 7 and TO # by a period of time less than X time units (e.g., slots) and therefore the second UCI can only indicate TO # 7 as unused, even if the terminal device actually needs the TO to transmit PUSCH, it would not be transmitted on this TO.
[112] With the 300C process, the terminal device can know how to transmit the usage status of the TOs efficiently, which will facilitate the efficient use of the TOs for CG.
[113] Fig. 6 illustrates a flowchart of a method implemented in a terminal device 110 according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. In some embodiments, the method 600 can be implemented in a communication device, Petition 870250089671, dated 02 / 10 / 2025, page 34 / 64 27 / 39 as the terminal device 110, as shown in Fig. 1.
