Description
/ 89 METHOD FOR CONFIGURING CHANNEL STATE INFORMATION REFERENCE SIGNAL RESOURCES, AND COMMUNICATION DEVICE Field
[001] The present invention relates to a field of communication technology and, in particular, to a method and apparatus for configuring a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) feature. Background of the Invention
[002] In wireless communication systems, coordinated multipoint transmission (CoMP) technology can improve edge coverage and provide balanced quality of service for each user in a service area. The base station calculates a pre-encoding vector / matrix for each user based on each user's channel state information (CSI) and then sends continuous data streams to a plurality of users simultaneously on identical time-frequency resources.
[003] In order to determine a scheduled modulation and encoding level for each user, the base station needs to know a signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) for each user when continuous data streams are sent to the plurality of users simultaneously on identical time-frequency resources. In a new radio (NR) system, a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) is defined for interference measurement. The base station indicates CSI-RS resources for channel measurement and CSI-RS resources for interference measurement for each user, which can accurately measure the SINR of each terminal.
[004] However, when the NTRP number of transmit and receive points (TRPs) used for coherent joint transmission (CJT) is greater than one, configuring all CSI-RS resources to achieve CJT from each TRP is an urgent problem to be solved. Petition 870250120923, dated 12 / 29 / 2025, page 7 / 222 / 89 Summary
[005] Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and apparatus for configuring channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) resources, which can be applied to an Internet of Vehicles (IoV) such as vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication, Long Term Evolution-Vehicle (LTE-V) communication, vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication, etc., or can be used in intelligent driving, intelligent connected vehicles and other fields. By determining a configured time-frequency pattern of all CSI-RS resources and configuring all CSI-RS resources for a terminal according to the configured time-frequency pattern, the network device obtains N pieces of downlink channel information from each receive-transmit point (TRP) to the terminal through the N configured CSI-RS resources, which achieves coherent joint transmission (CJT) of each TRP in a plurality of TRPs.Configuring all CSI-RS features in this way can reduce the impact on system performance.
[006] In a first aspect, an embodiment of the present invention provides a method for configuring CSI-RS resources, performed by a network device. The method includes: determining, according to a number of ports of each CSI-RS resource among N CSI-RS resources and / or a number of CSI-RS resources configured for a terminal, a configured time-frequency pattern of the N CSI-RS resources, where each CSI-RS resource corresponds to a TRP for CJT, and N is an integer greater than 1; and configuring, according to the configured time-frequency pattern, the N CSI-RS resources for the terminal.
[007] In this technical solution, the network device determines the configured time-frequency pattern of the N CSI-RS resources according to the number of ports of each CSI-RS resource among the N CSI-RS resources and / or the number of CSI-RS resources configured for the terminal, and Petition 870250120923, dated 12 / 29 / 2025, page 8 / 222 / 89, configures the N CSI-RS resources for the terminal according to the configured time-frequency pattern, so that the network device obtains N pieces of downlink channel information from the TRP to the terminal through the N configured CSI-RS resources, and achieves the CJT of each TRP in the plurality of TRPs. Configuring all CSI-RS resources in this way can reduce the impact on system performance.

[009] In this technical solution, the terminal determines the configured time-frequency pattern of the N CSI-RS resources according to the number of ports of each CSI-RS resource among the N CSI-RS resources and / or the number of CSI-RS resources configured by the network device, and determines the resource positions of the N CSI-RS resources according to the configured time-frequency pattern, so that the network device obtains N pieces of downlink channel information from the TRP to the terminal through the N configured CSI-RS resources, and achieves the CJT of each TRP in the plurality of TRPs. Configure all CSI-RS resources Petition 870250120923, dated 12 / 29 / 2025, page 9 / 222 / 89, in this way it can reduce the impact on system performance.

[0048] Embodiments of the present invention are described in detail below, examples of which are shown in the accompanying drawings, all of which identical or similar reference numbers represent identical or similar elements or elements having identical or similar functions. The embodiments described below in relation to the accompanying drawings are exemplary and are intended to explain the present invention, but should not be interpreted as limiting the present invention. In the description of the present invention, unless otherwise specified, the character “ / ” means “or”, for example, A / B may mean A or B; the character “and / or” shown here is merely a way of describing an association relationship of associated objects, indicating that there may be three relationships. For example, A and / or B may mean: A exists individually, A and B exist at the same time, and B exists Petition 870250120923, dated 12 / 29 / 2025, p. 16 / 222 / 89 individually.
[0049] The terms used in embodiments of the present invention are for the sole purpose of describing specific embodiments and are not intended to limit embodiments of the present invention. As used in the present invention and appended claims, the singular forms “a / an” and “the” are intended to also include the plural forms, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise.
[0050] It should be understood that although the terms first, second, third, etc. may be used to describe various information in embodiments of the present invention, the information should not be limited to these terms. These terms are used only to distinguish information of identical type from one another. For example, without departing from the scope of embodiments of the present invention, first information may also be referred to as second information and, similarly, second information may also be referred to as first information. Depending on the context, the words “if” and “in the case of / where”, as used herein, may be interpreted as “when” or “while” or “in response to a determination”.
[0051] In wireless communication systems, coordinated multipoint transmission (CoMP) technology can improve edge coverage and provide balanced quality of service for each user in a service area. The base station calculates a pre-encoding vector / matrix for each user based on each user's channel state information (CSI) and then sends continuous data streams to a plurality of users simultaneously on identical time-frequency resources.
[0052] In order to determine a scheduled modulation and encoding level for each user, the base station needs to know a signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) for each user when continuous data streams are sent to the plurality of users simultaneously on identical time-frequency resources. In a system Petition 870250120923, dated 12 / 29 / 2025, page 17 / 222 / 89 new radio (NR), a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) is defined for interference measurement. The base station indicates CSI-RS capabilities for channel measurement and CSI-RS capabilities for interference measurement for each user, which can accurately measure the SINR of each terminal.
[0053] A number N (or Ntrp) of transmit and receive points (TRPs) used for coherent joint transmission (CJT) can be configured to any one of 2, 3, or 4, and a corresponding CSI-RS resource is configured for each TRP for downlink channel estimation. A number of ports P of each CSI-RS resource can be configured as P = 4, 8, 12, 16, 24, or 32, and the number of ports of each CSI-RS resource among all CSI-RS resources is identical. For different CJT conditions, a total number of CSI-RS ports during the configuration of various numbers of CSI-RS resource ports is shown in Table 1. When P = 4, 8, or 12, a CSI-RS resource density is configured as 1 resource unit / resource block / port (1 RE / RB / port). When P = 16, 24, or 32, the CSI-RS resource density is configured as 1 RE / RB / port or 0.5 RE / RB / port. Table 1 Total number of CSI-RS ports during the configuration of multiple CSI-RS resource ports for CJT from a plurality of TRPs_______ N or Ntrp 2 3 4 P 4 8 12 16 8 16 24 32 12 24 36 48 16 32 48 64 24 48 72 96 32 64 96 128
[0054] It can be understood that each element in Table 1 exists independently. These elements are exemplarily listed in an identical Table, but this does not mean that all elements in the Table must exist at the same time, in the way shown in the Table. A value of each element is independent of a value of any other element in Table 1. Petition 870250120923, dated 12 / 29 / 2025, p. 18 / 222 13 / 89 Therefore, those skilled in the art can understand that the value of each element in Table 1 is an independent embodiment. It is necessary to note that the embodiments of the present invention include a plurality of tables. Each of the tables is similar to Table 1, which combines a plurality of independent embodiments into an identical table, and each element in these tables should also be considered as an independent embodiment.
[0055] For different partial bandwidth sizes, sub-band sizes are also different, as shown in Table 2. Table 2 Configurable sub-band size_____________________ Partial bandwidth (PRBs) Sub-band size (PRBs) 24-72 4.8 73-144 8.16 145-275 16.32
[0056] As can be seen from Tables 1 and 2 shown, when Ntrp = 4, P = 32, and the CSI-RS resource density is 1, 128 resource elements (REs) can be occupied in a physical resource block (PRB), which means that not all CSI-RS resources can be completely accommodated in a resource block (RB). That is, at this point, not all CSI-RS resources can be transmitted within a slot.
[0057] If the codebook parameter R = 2 and the subband size is 4 RBs, and if low-density CSI-RS features are configured, such as 0.5 RE / RB / port, degraded pre-coding performance may occur. Therefore, how to configure all CSI-RS features to reduce the impact on system performance is a problem to be solved.
[0058] To this end, an embodiment of the present invention provides a method and apparatus for configuring CSI-RS resources, which can achieve CJT of each TRP in the plurality of TRPs and reduce the impact on system performance by configuring the plurality of CSI-RS resources for the Petition 870250120923, dated 12 / 29 / 2025, p. 19 / 222 / 89 terminal. In order to better understand the method for configuring CSI-RS features described in the embodiments of the present invention, a communication system in which the embodiments of the present invention are applicable is described first below.

[0063] It may be understood that the communication system described in embodiments of the present invention is for the purpose of illustrating more clearly the technical solution of embodiments of the present invention, and does not constitute a limitation on the technical solution provided by embodiments of the present invention. Those skilled in the art may know that, with the evolution of system architecture and the emergence of new service scenarios, the technical solution provided by embodiments of the present invention is also applicable to similar technical problems.
[0064] The method and apparatus for configuring CSI-RS resources of Petition 870250120923, dated 12 / 29 / 2025, p. 21 / 222 / 89 in accordance with the present invention are described in detail below in relation to the attached drawings.
[0065] With regard to Figure 2, it is a flowchart of a method for configuring CSI-RS resources according to an embodiment of the present invention. It should be noted that the method can be performed by a network device. As shown in Figure 2, the method may include, but is not limited to, the following steps in 201-202.
[0066] In 201, a configured time-frequency pattern of N CSI-RS resources is determined according to a number of ports of each CSI-RS resource among the N CSI-RS resources and / or a number of CSI-RS resources configured for the terminal.
[0067] In some embodiments, the number of ports for each CSI-RS resource among the N (or Ntrp) CSI-RS resources and / or the number of CSI-RS resources configured for the terminal can be determined. In the embodiments of the present invention, each CSI-RS resource corresponds to a TRP, and N (or Ntrp) is an integer greater than 1.
[0068] In one implementation, the network device can configure the number of CSI-RS resources (or the number of TRPs) for the terminal, where each CSI-RS resource corresponds to one TRP, that is, the number of CSI-RS resources is identical to the number of TRPs. In this mode, the network device can determine the number of CSI-RS resources configured for the terminal, that is, determine the number of TRPs configured for the terminal.
[0069] In one implementation, the network device can configure the number of ports for each CSI-RS resource from among the N CSIRS resources for the endpoint. In this mode, the network device can determine the number of ports for each CSI-RS resource from among the N CSIRS resources configured for the endpoint, where the number of CSI-RS resources is consistent with the number of TRPs. Petition 870250120923, dated 12 / 29 / 2025, page 22 / 222 / 89
[0070] In one implementation, the network device can configure the number N of CSI-RS resources and the number of ports for each CSI-RS resource from among the N CSI-RS resources for the endpoint. In this mode, the network device can determine the number N of CSI-RS resources configured for the endpoint and the number of ports for each CSI-RS resource from among the N CSI-RS resources. Each TRP is associated with a CSI-RS resource for downlink channel estimation.
[0071] In one possible implementation, the number of TRPs (or the number of CSI-RS resources) N (or Ntrp) can be configured to be, but without limitation, any of the following values: 2, 3, or 4. As an example, the number of TRps (or the number of CSI-RS resources) N (or Ntrp) can be configured as 2, 3, or 4.
[0072] In one possible implementation, the number of ports p of each CSI-RS resource can be configured to be, but without limitation, any of the following values: 4, 8, 12, 16, 24, or 32. As an example, the number of ports p of each CSI-RS resource can be configured as P = 4, 8, 12, 16, 24, or 32. Among the N CSIRS resources, the number of ports of each CSI-RS resource is identical.
[0073] Optionally, since each TRp is configured with a corresponding CSI-RS resource for downlink channel estimation, the number of CSI-RS resources is identical to the number of TRPs.
[0074] In one embodiment of the present invention, a first limit value and a second limit value may be predefined, wherein the first limit value may be represented by the symbol pth, and the first limit value is a limit value of the total number of CSI-RS resource ports out of the N CSI-RS resources in a single slot (or one slot). The second limit value may be represented by the symbol Nth, and the second limit value is a limit value of the total number of CSI-RS resources out of the N CSI-RS resources in a single slot (or one slot). Optionally, the first limit value and / or the Petition 870250120923, dated 12 / 29 / 2025, page 23 / 222 / 89 second limit value can be configured by the network device for the terminal, or can be pre-configured, or can be pre-defined by negotiation between the network device and the terminal, or can be reported by the terminal, which is not limited in the description and will not be repeated again.
[0075] In one embodiment of the present invention, a constraint condition for configuring the N (or Ntrp) CSI-RS resources within a slot can be defined. In one implementation, the constraint condition for configuring the N (or Ntrp) CSI-RS resources within a slot is defined as follows: when Ptot < Pth or NTRP < Nth, the NTRP CSI-RS resources are within a slot (for convenience of description, this definition is referred to as Definition 1 hereafter), where Ptot is the total number of ports of the NTRP CSI-RS resources.
[0076] In one implementation, the constraint condition for configuring the N (or Ntrp) CSI-RS resources within a slot is defined as follows: when Ptot > Pth or NTRP > Nth, assuming that the densities of the NTRP CSI-RS resources are identical and the densities are 0.5 RE / RB / port, the Ntrp CSI-RS resources are within a slot (for convenience of description, this definition is referred to as Definition 2 below).
[0077] In one implementation, the constraint condition for configuring the N (or Ntrp) CSI-RS resources within a slot is defined as follows: when Ptot > Pth and the codebook parameter R=1, assuming that the densities of the Ntrp CSI-RS resources are identical and the densities are 0.5 RE / RB / port, the Ntrp CSI-RS resources are within a slot (for convenience of description, this definition is referred to as Definition 3 below).
[0078] That is, the network device can determine the configured time-frequency pattern of the N CSI-RS resources based on the Petition 870250120923, dated 12 / 29 / 2025, page 24 / 222 / 89, restrictive conditions in Definition 1, Definition 2, or Definition 3 as set forth. That is, it is determined whether the restrictive conditions for configuring the N CSI-RS resources within a slot are met. If it is determined that the restrictive conditions for configuring the N CSI-RS resources within a slot are met, a method for configuring the N CSI-RS resources within a slot may be adopted to configure the N CSI-RS resources within a slot. If it is determined that the restrictive conditions for configuring the N CSI-RS resources within a slot are not met (that is, the restrictive conditions in Definition 1, Definition 2, and Definition 3 are not met), a method for configuring the N CSI-RS resources within a plurality of slots may be adopted to configure the N CSI-RS resources within the plurality of slots. The plurality of slots can include adjacent slots or non-adjacent slots. As an example, if it is determined that the constraint conditions for configuring the N CSI-RS resources within a slot are not met (that is, the constraint conditions in Definition 1, Definition 2, and Definition 3 as described are not met), the N CSI-RS resources can be configured in two adjacent slots.
[0079] In one possible implementation, the network device can determine a total Ptot number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources based on the number of CSI-RS resources and the number of ports of each CSI-RS resource. The network device determines the configured time-frequency pattern of the N CSI-RS resources based on the total Ptot number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources and the first threshold value. As an example, the network device compares the total Ptot number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources with the first threshold value, and determines the configured time-frequency pattern of the N CSI-RS resources based on the result of the comparison.
[0080] In one possible implementation, the network device can Petition 870250120923, dated 12 / 29 / 2025, page 25 / 222 / 89 determine the configured time-frequency pattern of the N CSIRS resources according to the number N (or Ntrp) of CSI-RS resources and the second threshold value. As an example, the network device compares the number N (or Ntrp) of CSI-RS resources with the second threshold value, and determines the configured time-frequency pattern of the N CSI-RS resources according to a result of the comparison.
[0081] In one possible implementation, the network device determines the total Ptot number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources based on the number of CSI-RS resources and the number of ports of each CSI-RS resource. The network device determines the configured time-frequency pattern of the N CSI-RS resources based on the total Ptot number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources, the number N (or Ntrp) of CSI-RS resources, the first threshold value, and the second threshold value. As an example, the network device compares the total Ptot number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources with the first threshold value, compares the number N (or Ntrp) of CSI-RS resources with the second threshold value, and determines the configured time-frequency pattern of the N CSI-RS resources based on the two comparison results.
[0082] In one possible implementation, the network device determines the total Ptot number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources according to the number of CSI-RS resources and the number of ports of each CSI-RS resource. The network device determines the density of each CSI-RS resource configured for the endpoint, and determines the configured time-frequency pattern of the N CSI-RS resources according to the total Ptot number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources, the first threshold value, and the density of each CSI-RS resource.
[0083] In one possible implementation, the network device determines the density of each CSI-RS resource configured for the endpoint, and determines the configured time-frequency pattern of the N Petition 870250120923, dated 12 / 29 / 2025, page 26 / 222 / 89 CSI-RS resources according to the number N (or Ntrp) of CSIRS resources, the second limit value, and the density of each CSI-RS resource.
[0084] In one possible implementation, the network device determines the total Ptot number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources according to the number of CSI-RS resources and the number of ports of each CSI-RS resource. The network device determines the density of each CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal, and determines the codebook parameter R configured for the terminal, and determines the time frequency pattern configured for the N CSI-RS resources according to the total Ptot number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources, the first threshold value, the codebook parameter R, and the density of each CSI-RS resource.
[0085] It should be noted that, in some embodiments, terms such as “codebook”, “codeword”, and “precoding vector / matrix” may be used interchangeably. For example, the codebook may be a collection of one or more codewords and precoding matrices.
[0086] In 202, the N CSI-RS resources are configured for the terminal according to the configured time-frequency pattern.
[0087] In this embodiment of the present invention, the N CSIRS resources are used by the network device to obtain N pieces of downlink channel information from the TRP to the terminal.
[0088] In one embodiment of the present invention, the network device can determine a configured sub-band size for the terminal, and configure the N CSI-RS resources for the terminal using a corresponding time-frequency pattern configured according to the sub-band size, the density of each CSI-RS resource, and the number of ports of each CSI-RS resource.
[0089] In an implementation, when the network device determines that the time-frequency pattern configured for the N resources Petition 870250120923, dated 12 / 29 / 2025, page 27 / 222 / 89 of CSI-RS is a first configured time-frequency pattern; the first configured time-frequency pattern indicates the mapping of time-frequency domain resources of the N CSI-RS resources within a slot. That is, when the N CSI-RS resources need to be configured within a slot, the network device can use the first configured time-frequency pattern to configure the N CSI-RS resources for the terminal within a slot.
[0090] In another implementation, the network device determines that the configured time-frequency pattern of the N CSI-RS resources is a second configured time-frequency pattern, and the second configured time-frequency pattern indicates the mapping of time-frequency domain resources of the N CSI-RS resources within a plurality of slots (such as two). If there is a need to configure the N CSI-RS resources in two slots, the network device can use the second configured time-frequency pattern to configure the N CSI-RS resources for the terminal in two slots.
[0091] By implementing this embodiment of the present invention, the network device can determine the appropriate configured time-frequency pattern for the N CSI-RS resources according to the number of ports of each CSI-RS resource among the N CSI-RS resources and / or the number of CSI-RS resources configured for the terminal, and configure the N CSI-RS resources for the terminal according to the configured time-frequency pattern, so that the network device obtains N pieces of downlink channel information from the TRP to the terminal through the N configured CSI-RS resources, and achieves CJT from each TRP in the plurality of TRPs. By rationally configuring all CSI-RS resources in this configuration manner, the impact on system performance can be reduced.
[0092] It is necessary to note that, in the present modalities Petition 870250120923, dated 12 / 29 / 2025, page 28 / 222 / 89 invention, in the case of determination, based on definition 1 set forth, that the Ntrp CSI-RS resources can be configured within a slot, the network device can adopt the method to configure the Ntrp CSI-RS resources within a slot to configure the Ntrp CSI-RS resources for the terminal. Regarding Figure 3, it is a flowchart of another method for configuring CSI-RS resources according to an embodiment of the present invention. It should be noted that the method can be performed by a network device. As shown in Figure 3, the method may include, but is not limited to, the following steps in 301-304.
[0093] In 301, a total number of ports for N CSI-RS resources is determined based on the number of ports for each CSI-RS resource among the N CSI-RS resources and the number of CSI-RS resources configured for the terminal.
[0094] In the embodiment of the present invention, each CSI-RS resource corresponds to a TRP for CJT, and N is an integer greater than 1.
[0095] Optionally, N can be used to represent the number of CSI-RS resources, and P can be used to represent the number of ports of each CSI-RS resource, and the number of ports of each of the CSI-RS resources is identical. In one implementation, the number N of CSI-RS resources is multiplied by the number p of ports of each CSI-RS resource, and the value obtained by the multiplication operation is determined as the total number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources. The total number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources can be represented by Ptot.
[0096] In 302, it is determined that the total number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources is less than or equal to a first limit value, and / or that the number of CSI-RS resources is less than or equal to a second limit value.
[0097] In the embodiment of the present invention, the first limit value is a limit value of the total number of CSI-RS resource ports of the N CSI-RS resources in a single slot, and the second limit value is a value Petition 870250120923, dated 12 / 29 / 2025, page 29 / 222 / 89 limit of a total number of CSI-RS resources from the N CSI-RS resources in a single slot.
[0098] In one possible implementation, the network device determines a configured time-frequency pattern of the N CSI-RS resources based on the total Ptot number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources and the first threshold value. As an example, the network device compares the total Ptot number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources with the first threshold value to determine if the total number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources is less than or equal to the first threshold value. If the total number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources is less than or equal to the first threshold value, i.e., Ptot < Pth, the network device can perform step 303, i.e., determine that the configured time-frequency pattern of the N CSI-RS resources is a first configured time-frequency pattern. That is, the N CSI-RS resources can be configured within a slot.
[0099] In one possible implementation, the network device can determine the configured time-frequency pattern of the N CSIRS resources based on the number N (or Ntrp) of CSI-RS resources and the second threshold value. As an example, the network device compares the number N (or Ntrp) of CSI-RS resources with the second threshold value to determine if the number N (or Ntrp) of CSI-RS resources is less than or equal to the second threshold value. If the number Ntrp of CSI-RS resources is less than or equal to the second threshold value, i.e., NTRP < Nth, the network device can perform step 303, i.e., determine that the configured time-frequency pattern of the N CSI-RS resources is the first configured time-frequency pattern. That is, the N CSI-RS resources can be configured within a slot.
[00100] In one possible implementation, the network device determines the total port count (ptot) of the N CSI-RS resources based on the number of CSI-RS resources and the number of ports for each resource. Petition 870250120923, dated 12 / 29 / 2025, p. 30 / 222 / 89 of CSI-RS. The network device determines the configured time-frequency pattern of the N CSI-RS resources based on the total Ptot number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources, the number N (or Ntrp) of CSI-RS resources, the first threshold value, and the second threshold value. As an example, the network device compares the total Ptot number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources with the first threshold value, compares the number N (or Ntrp) of CSI-RS resources with the second threshold value, and determines whether the total Ptot number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources is less than or equal to the first threshold value and whether the number of CSI-RS resources is less than or equal to the second threshold value. If the total number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources is less than or equal to the first threshold value and the Ntrp number of CSI-RS resources is less than or equal to the second threshold value, that is, Ptot < Pth and NTRP < Nth, the network device can execute step 303, that is, determine that the configured time-frequency pattern of the N CSI-RS resources is the first configured time-frequency pattern. That is, the N CSI-RS resources can be configured within a slot.
[00101] In 303, it is determined that the configured time-frequency pattern of the N CSI-RS resources is a first configured time-frequency pattern.
[00102] In the embodiment of the present invention, the first configured time-frequency pattern indicates the time-frequency domain feature mapping of the N CSI-RS features within a slot.
[00103] That is, when the network device determines that the total number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources is less than or equal to the first threshold value, and / or the number of CSI-RS resources is less than or equal to the second threshold value, it can be determined that the configured time-frequency pattern of the N CSI-RS resources is the first configured time-frequency pattern. That is, the N CSI-RS resources can be configured within a slot. Petition 870250120923, dated 12 / 29 / 2025, page 31 / 222 / 89
[00104] In 304, the N CSI-RS resources are configured for the terminal according to the configured time-frequency pattern.
[00105] In the embodiment of the present invention, the network device determines that the configured time-frequency pattern of the N CSI-RS resources is the first configured time-frequency pattern. The first configured time-frequency pattern can be used to configure the N CSI-RS resources within a slot, to configure the N CSI-RS resources for the terminal. That is, the network device can configure the N CSI-RS resources within a slot, to configure the N CSI-RS resources for the terminal.
[00106] Optionally, in one embodiment of the present invention, the present invention defines the method for configuring the N CSI-RS resources within a slot as follows: Method 1-1, configure the N CSI-RS resources with identical or different CSI-RS resource densities within a slot. In one implementation, the network device may determine a configured sub-band size for the terminal; the network device may determine a density of each CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal, wherein the density of each CSI-RS resource is identical or different; and the network device may configure the N CSI-RS resources within a slot using the first time-frequency pattern configured according to the sub-band size, the density of each CSI-RS resource, and the number of ports of each CSI-RS resource. As an example, the network device can configure N CSI-RS resources with identical CSI-RS resource densities within a slot according to the sub-band size and the number of ports for each CSI-RS resource. Alternatively, the network device can configure N CSI-RS resources with different CSI-RS resource densities within a slot according to the sub-band size and the number of ports for each CSI-RS resource. In one possible implementation, when the N... Petition 870250120923, dated 12 / 29 / 2025, page 32 / 222 / 89 CSI-RS resources are configured within a slot, the N CSI-RS resources can be configured with densities lower than 0.5 RE / RB / port, for example, the densities can be 0.25 RE / RB / port.
[00107] Optionally, in one embodiment of the present invention, the present invention defines the method for configuring the N CSI-RS resources within a slot as follows: Method 1-2, where the N configured CSI-RS resources have identical densities, which are 0.5 RE / RB / port, and the N CSI-RS resources can be configured according to a PRB resource index. As an example, a first CSI-RS resource and a second CSI-RS resource are configured according to the PRB resource index. For example, the first CSI-RS resource is configured in an odd position of the PRB resource index, and the second CSI-RS resource is configured in an even position of the PRB resource index. A number of CSI-RS resources included in the first resource of CSI-RS is defined as either the first CSI-RS feature or the last CSI-RS feature. The number of CSI-RS features included in the second CSI-RS feature is N-.
[00108] In one implementation, the network device can determine a configured sub-band size for the terminal; the network device determines a density for each CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal, where the density of each CSI-RS resource is identical and the density is 0.5 RE / RB / port; the network device determines a number of PRBs configured for the terminal; and the network device configures the N CSI-RS resources within a slot using the first time-frequency pattern configured according to the PRB resource index, the sub-band size, the density of each CSI-RS resource, and the number of ports for each CSI-RS resource.
[00109] As an example, the network device can configure the Petition 870250120923, dated 12 / 29 / 2025, page 33 / 222 28 / 89 first CSI-RS resource among the N CSI-RS resources in the odd-numbered position of the PRB resource index and configure the second CSI-RS resource among the N CSI-RS resources in the even-numbered position of the PRB resource index using the first time-frequency pattern configured according to the sub-band size, the density of each CSI-RS resource, and the number of ports of each CSI-RS resource. Alternatively, as another example, the network device can configure the first CSI-RS resource among the N CSI-RS resources in the even-numbered position of the PRB resource index and configure the second CSI-RS resource among the N CSI-RS resources in the odd-numbered position of the PRB resource index using the first time-frequency pattern configured according to the sub-band size, the density of each CSI-RS resource, and the number of ports of each CSI-RS resource. The number of CSI-RS features included in the first CSI-RS feature is , and a formula for calculating is expressed as follows:. or , where is a function rounded up, [] is a function rounded down, and N is the number of CSI-RS features. The number of CSI-RS features included in the second CSI-RS feature is N- . For example, the CSI-RS features included in the first CSI-RS feature may be the first or CSI-RS features among the N CSI-RS features, and the CSI-RS features included in the second CSI-RS feature are the CSI-RS features among the N CSI-RS features, excluding the first CSI-RS feature. Alternatively, the CSI-RS features included in the first CSI-RS features may be the last or CSI-RS features among the N CSI-RS features, and the CSI-RS features included in the second CSI-RS features are the CSI-RS features among the N CSI-RS features, excluding the first CSI-RS feature.
[00110] For example, consider a limit value for the total number of Petition 870250120923, dated 12 / 29 / 2025, p. 34 / 222 29 / 89 CSI-RS resource ports out of the N CSI-RS resources within a slot is Pth = 96. Assuming that the base station (gNB) configures for the terminal a CSI-RS resource set containing N = 2 CSI-RS resources (each of which corresponds to a TRP and has 32 ports, the density of each CSI-RS resource being 0.5 RE / RB / port), it is determined that the total number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources is ,—. According to the definition (such as definition 1 shown) of the CSI-RS resource configuration conditions, the network device can configure two CSI-RS resources within a slot. As shown in Figure 4, the network device can use Method 1-2 to configure the two CSI-RS resources within one slot, such as configuring the first CSI-RS resource in an even-numbered RB index position and configuring the second CSI-RS resource in an odd-numbered RB index position.
[00111] By implementing this embodiment of the present invention, when the network device determines that the total number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources is less than or equal to the first limit value, and / or the number of CSI-RS resources is less than or equal to the second limit value, the N CSI-RS resources can be configured within a slot. By rationally configuring all CSI-RS resources, the impact on system performance can be reduced.
[00112] It is necessary to note that, in the embodiments of the present invention, in the case of determination based on Definition 2 set forth, that the N CSI-RS resources can be configured within a slot, the network device can adopt the method to configure the N CSI-RS resources within a slot, to configure the N CSI-RS resources for the terminal. Regarding Figure 5, it is a flowchart of another method for configuring CSI-RS resources according to an embodiment of the present invention. It is necessary to note that the method can be performed by a network device. As shown in Figure 5, the Petition 870250120923, dated 12 / 29 / 2025, page 35 / 222 / 89, the method may include, but is not limited to, the following steps in 501-505.
[00113] In 501, the total number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources is determined according to the number of ports of each CSI-RS resource among the N CSI-RS resources and the number of CSI-RS resources configured for the terminal.
[00114] In the embodiment of the present invention, each CSI-RS resource corresponds to a TRP for CJT, and N is an integer greater than 1.
[00115] In the embodiment of the present invention, step 501 can be implemented in any of the ways in the embodiments of the present invention, which is not limited to the embodiment of the present invention and will not be repeated again.
[00116] In 502, a density of each CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal is determined.
[00117] In an implementation, when the network device configures N CSI-RS resources for the endpoint, there is a need to configure N densities of CSI-RS resources for the endpoint. The network device can determine the density of each CSI-RS resource configured for the endpoint. The densities of the N CSI-RS resources can be identical.
[00118] In 503, it is determined that the total number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources is greater than a first limit value, the density of each CSI-RS resource is identical, and the density is 0.5 RE / RB / port.
[00119] In the embodiment of the present invention, the first limit value is a limit value of a total number of CSI-RS resource ports out of the N CSI-RS resources in a single slot.
[00120] In one possible implementation, the network device determines the configured time-frequency pattern of the N CSIRS resources based on the total Ptot number of ports of the N CSIRS resources, the first threshold value, and the density of each CSIRS resource. As a Petition 870250120923, dated 12 / 29 / 2025, page 36 / 222 / 89 example, the network device compares the total Ptot number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources with the first threshold value, and determines if the densities of the CSI-RS resources are identical and if the densities are 0.5 RE / RB / port. If the total Ptot number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources is greater than the first threshold value, and the density of each CSI-RS resource is identical and the density is 0.5 RE / RB / port (that is, the constraint condition in Definition 2 stated “when , assuming that the densities of the CSI-RS resources are identical and the densities are 0.5 RE / RB / port” is satisfied), then the network device can perform step 504, that is, determine that the configured time-frequency pattern of the N CSI-RS resources is the first configured time-frequency pattern. That is, the N CSI-RS resources can be configured within a slot.
[00121] In 504, it is determined that the configured time-frequency pattern of the N CSI-RS resources is a first configured time-frequency pattern.
[00122] In the embodiment of the present invention, step 504 can be implemented in any of the ways in the embodiments of the present invention, which is not limited to the embodiment of the present invention and will not be repeated again.
[00123] In 505, the N CSI-RS resources are configured for the terminal according to the configured time-frequency pattern.
[00124] Optionally, in one embodiment of the present invention, the network device may determine a configured sub-band size for the terminal; the network device may configure the N CSIRS resources within a slot using the first time-frequency pattern configured according to the sub-band size, the density of each CSIRS resource, and the number of ports of each CSIRS resource. As an example, the network device may configure the N CSIRS resources with identical CSIRS resource densities within a slot according to Petition 870250120923, dated 12 / 29 / 2025, page 37 / 222 32 / 89 with the sub-band size and number of ports for each CSIRS resource, where the densities of the N CSI-RS resources are 0.5 RE / RB / port. Optionally, CSI-RS resources with lower densities can be configured within a slot, for example, the densities can be 0.25 RE / RB / port.
[00125] Optionally, in one embodiment of the present invention, the network device may determine a configured sub-band size for the terminal; the network device may determine a number of PRB resources configured for the terminal; the network device may configure the N CSI-RS resources within a slot using the first time-frequency pattern configured according to a PRB resource index, the sub-band size, the density of each CSI-RS resource, and the number of ports of each CSI-RS resource.
[00126] As an example, the network device can configure a first CSI-RS resource from among the N CSI-RS resources in an odd position of the PRB resource index and configure a second CSI-RS resource from among the N CSI-RS resources in an even position of the PRB resource index using the first time-frequency pattern configured according to the sub-band size, the density of each CSI-RS resource, and the number of ports of each CSI-RS resource. Alternatively, as another example, the network device can configure a first CSI-RS resource from among the N CSI-RS resources in an even position of the PRB resource index and configure a second CSI-RS resource from among the N CSI-RS resources in an odd position of the PRB resource index using the first time-frequency pattern configured according to the sub-band size, the density of each CSI-RS resource, and the number of ports of each CSI-RS resource. The number of CSI-RS features included in the first CSI-RS feature is , and a formula for calculating is expressed as follows: or , where is a function. Petition 870250120923, dated 12 / 29 / 2025, p. 38 / 222 33 / 89 rounded up, [] is a function rounded down, and N is the number of CSI-RS features. The number of CSI-RS features included in the second CSI-RS feature is N- . For example, the CSI-RS features included in the first CSI-RS feature could be the first or CSI-RS features among the N CSI-RS features, and the CSI-RS features included in the second CSI-RS feature are the CSI-RS features among the N CSI-RS features, excluding the first CSI-RS feature. Alternatively, the CSI-RS features included in the first features of CSI-RS resources can be the last or most recent CSI-RS resources among the N CSI-RS resources, and the CSI-RS resources included in the second CSI-RS resources are the CSI-RS resources among the N CSI-RS resources, excluding the first CSI-RS resource.
[00127] For example, consider that a limit value for the total number of CSI-RS resource ports of the N CSI-RS resources within a slot is Pth = 48. Assuming that the base station configures for the terminal a set of CSI-RS resources containing N = 2 CSI-RS resources (each of which corresponds to a TRP and has 32 ports, the density of each CSI-RS resource being 0.5 RE / RB / port), it is determined that the total number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources is . Although the density of each CSI-RS resource is low. According to the definition (such as the definition shown in 2) of the CSI-RS resource configuration conditions, the two CSI-RS resources can be configured within a slot.As shown in Figure 4, the network device can use Method 1-2 to configure the two CSI-RS resources within one slot, such as configuring the first CSI-RS resource in an even-numbered RB index position and configuring the second CSI-RS resource in an odd-numbered RB index position.
[00128] By implementing this embodiment of the present invention, Petition 870250120923, dated 12 / 29 / 2025, page 39 / 222 / 89 when the network device determines that the total number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources is greater than the first limit value, and the density of each CSI-RS resource is identical and the density is 0.5 RE / RB / port, the N CSI-RS resources can still be configured within a slot. By rationally configuring all CSI-RS resources, the impact on system performance can be reduced.
[00129] It should be noted that, in embodiments of the present invention, if it is determined based on Definition 2 set forth that N CSI-RS resources can be configured within a slot, the network device may adopt the method for configuring N CSI-RS resources within a slot, to configure N CSI-RS resources for the terminal. Regarding Figure 6, it is a flowchart of another method for configuring CSI-RS resources according to an embodiment of the present invention. It should be noted that the method can be performed by a network device. As shown in Figure 6, the method may include, but is not limited to, the following steps in 601-604.
[00130] In 601, a density of each CSI-RS resource among the N CSI-RS resources and the number of CSI-RS resources configured for the terminal are determined.
[00131] In the embodiment of the present invention, each CSI-RS resource corresponds to a TRP for CJT, and N is an integer greater than 1.
[00132] In the embodiment of the present invention, step 601 can be implemented in any of the ways in the embodiments of the present invention, which is not limited to the embodiment of the present invention and will not be repeated again.
[00133] In 602, it is determined that the number of CSI-RS resources is greater than a second threshold value, the density of each CSI-RS resource is identical, and the density is 0.5 RE / RB / port.
[00134] In the embodiment of the present invention, the second limit value is Petition 870250120923, dated 12 / 29 / 2025, p. 40 / 222 / 89 a limit value of a total number of CSI-RS resources out of the N CSI-RS resources in a single slot (or a slot).
[00135] In one possible implementation, the network device determines the density of each CSI-RS resource configured for the endpoint, and determines the configured time-frequency pattern of the N CSI-RS resources according to the number N (or Ntrp) of CSI-RS resources, the second threshold value, and the density of each CSI-RS resource. As an example, the network device compares the number N (or Ntrp) of CSI-RS resources with the second threshold value, and determines if the densities of the CSI-RS resources are identical and if the densities are 0.5 RE / RB / port. If the number N (or Ntrp) of CSI-RS resources is greater than the second threshold value, and the density of each CSI-RS resource is identical and the density is 0.5 RE / RB / port (that is, the constraint condition in Definition 2 stated “when , assuming that the densities of the NTRp resources of If the CSI-RS resources are identical and the densities are 0.5 RE / RB / port (if the condition is met), then the network device can execute step 603, that is, determine that the configured time-frequency pattern of the N CSI-RS resources is the first configured time-frequency pattern. In other words, the N CSI-RS resources can be configured within a slot.
[00136] In 603, it is determined that the configured time-frequency pattern of the N CSI-RS resources is a first configured time-frequency pattern.
[00137] In the embodiment of the present invention, step 603 can be implemented in any of the ways in the embodiments of the present invention, which is not limited to the embodiment of the present invention and will not be repeated again.
[00138] In 604, the N CSI-RS resources are configured for the terminal according to the configured time-frequency pattern.
[00139] In the embodiment of the present invention, step 604 can be Petition 870250120923, dated 12 / 29 / 2025, p. 41 / 222 / 89 implemented in any of the ways in the embodiments of the present invention, which is not limited to the embodiment of the present invention and will not be repeated again.
[00140] By implementing this embodiment of the present invention, when the network device determines that the number of CSI-RS resources is greater than the second limit value and the density of each CSI-RS resource is identical and the density is 0.5 RE / RB / port, the N CSI-RS resources can still be configured within a slot. By rationally configuring all CSI-RS resources, the impact on system performance can be reduced.
[00141] It should be noted that, in embodiments of the present invention, if it is determined based on Definition 2 set forth above that N CSI-RS resources can be configured within a slot, the network device may adopt the method for configuring N CSI-RS resources within a slot, to configure N CSI-RS resources for the terminal. Regarding Figure 7, it is a flowchart of another method for configuring CSI-RS resources according to an embodiment of the present invention. It should be noted that the method can be performed by a network device. As shown in Figure 7, the method may include, but is not limited to, the following steps in 701-706.
[00142] In 701, the total number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources is determined according to the number of ports of each CSI-RS resource among the N CSI-RS resources and the number of CSI-RS resources configured for the terminal.
[00143] In the embodiment of the present invention, each CSI-RS resource corresponds to a TRP for CJT, and N is an integer greater than 1.
[00144] In the embodiment of the present invention, step 701 can be implemented in any of the ways in the embodiments of the present invention, which is not limited to the embodiment of the present invention and will not be Petition 870250120923, dated 12 / 29 / 2025, p. 42 / 222 / 89 repeated again.
[00145] In 702, a density of each CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal is determined.
[00146] In the embodiment of the present invention, step 702 can be implemented in any of the ways in the embodiments of the present invention, which is not limited to the embodiment of the present invention and will not be repeated again.
[00147] In 703, an R codebook parameter configured by the network device for the terminal is determined.
[00148] In one implementation, the network device can configure CSI reporting features for the endpoint, and the configured CSI reporting features can include the R codebook parameter. The network device can determine the R codebook parameter based on the CSI reporting features configured for the endpoint.
[00149] In 704, it is determined that the total number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources is greater than a first limit value, the codebook parameter R is 1, the density of each CSI-RS resource is identical, and the density is 0.5 RE / RB / port.
[00150] In one possible implementation, the network device determines the total Ptot number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources based on the number of CSI-RS resources and the number of ports of each CSI-RS resource. The network device determines the density of each CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal, determines the codebook parameter R configured for the terminal, and determines the time-frequency pattern configured for the N CSI-RS resources based on the total Ptot number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources, the first threshold value, the codebook parameter R, and the density of each CSI-RS resource. As an example, the network device compares the total Ptot number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources with the first threshold value, determines if the Petition 870250120923, dated 12 / 29 / 2025, page 43 / 222 / 89, codebook parameter R is 1, and determines whether the densities of the N CSI-RS resources are identical. If it is determined that the total number of Ptot ports of the N CSI-RS resources is greater than the first threshold value, the codebook parameter R is 1, the density of each CSI-RS resource is identical, and the density is 0.5 RE / RB / port (that is, the constraint condition of Definition 3 is satisfied), then the network device can perform step 705, that is, determine that the configured time-frequency pattern of the N CSI-RS resources is the first configured time-frequency pattern. That is, the N CSI-RS resources can be configured within a slot.
[00151] In 705, it is determined that the configured time-frequency pattern of the N CSI-RS resources is a first configured time-frequency pattern.
[00152] In the embodiment of the present invention, step 705 can be implemented in any of the ways in the embodiments of the present invention, which is not limited to the embodiment of the present invention and will not be repeated again.
[00153] In 706, the N CSI-RS resources are configured for the terminal according to the configured time-frequency pattern. The N CSI-RS resources are used by the network device to obtain N pieces of downlink channel information from the TRP to the terminal.
[00154] In the embodiment of the present invention, step 706 can be implemented in any of the ways in the embodiments of the present invention, which is not limited to the embodiment of the present invention and will not be repeated again.
[00155] By implementing this embodiment of the present invention, when the network device determines that the total number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources is greater than the first limit value, the codebook parameter R is 1, and the density of each CSI-RS resource is identical and the Petition 870250120923, dated 12 / 29 / 2025, page 44 / 222 / 89 density is 0.5 RE / RB / port, the N CSI-RS resources can still be configured within a slot. By rationally configuring all CSI-RS resources, the impact on system performance can be reduced.
[00156] It should be noted that if the constraint conditions of the definitions set forth (such as Definition 1, Definition 2 or Definition 3) are not met, the network device can configure the N CSIRS resources within the plurality of slots, such as configuring the N CSIRS resources in two adjacent slots. Regarding Figure 8, it is a flowchart of another method for configuring CSI-RS resources according to an embodiment of the present invention. It should be noted that the method can be performed by a network device. As shown in Figure 8, the method may include, but is not limited to, the following steps in 801-804.
[00157] In 801, the total number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources is determined according to the number of ports of each CSI-RS resource among the N CSI-RS resources and the number of CSI-RS resources configured for the terminal.
[00158] In the embodiment of the present invention, each CSI-RS resource corresponds to a TRP for CJT, and N is an integer greater than 1.
[00159] In the embodiment of the present invention, step 801 can be implemented in any of the ways in the embodiments of the present invention, which is not limited to the embodiment of the present invention and will not be repeated again.
[00160] In 802, it is determined that the total number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources is greater than a first limit value and the number of CSI-RS resources is greater than a second limit value.
[00161] In one embodiment of the present invention, the first limit value is a limit value of the total number of CSI-RS resource ports of the N CSI-RS resources in a single slot (or slot), and the second limit value is a limit value of the total number of CSI-RS resources of the N Petition 870250120923, dated 12 / 29 / 2025, page 45 / 222 / 89 CSI-RS resources in a single slot (or one slot).
[00162] In one implementation, the network device determines the configured time-frequency pattern of the N CSI-RS resources based on the total number of ports (Ptot) of the N CSI-RS resources, the number (N) of CSI-RS resources (Ntrp), the first threshold value, and the second threshold value. As an example, the network device compares the total number of ports (Ptot) of the N CSI-RS resources with the first threshold value, and compares the number of CSI-RS resources (N) with the second threshold value. If it is determined that the total number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources is greater than the first threshold value and the number of CSI-RS resources is greater than the second threshold value, the network device performs step 803, that is, it determines that the configured time-frequency pattern of the N CSI-RS resources is the second configured time-frequency pattern. That is, the N CSI-RS resources are configured within a plurality of slots, such as configuring the N CSI-RS resources in two adjacent slots.
[00163] In 803, it is determined that the configured time-frequency pattern of the N CSI-RS resources is a second configured time-frequency pattern.
[00164] In the embodiment of the present invention, the second configured time-frequency pattern indicates the mapping of time-frequency domain resources of the N CSI-RS resources within the plurality of slots.
[00165] That is, if the network device determines that the total number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources is greater than the first limit value and the number of CSI-RS resources is greater than the second limit value, the network device can determine that the configured time-frequency pattern of the N CSI-RS resources is the second configured time-frequency pattern. That is, the N CSI-RS resources can be configured within the plurality of slots.
[00166] In 804, the N CSI-RS resources are configured for the Petition 870250120923, dated 12 / 29 / 2025, page 46 / 222 / 89 terminal according to the configured time-frequency pattern. The N CSI-RS resources are used by the network device to obtain N pieces of downlink channel information from the TRP to the terminal.
[00167] In one embodiment of the present invention, when the network device determines that the total number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources is greater than the first limit value and the number of CSI-RS resources is greater than the second limit value, the second configured time-frequency pattern is then used to configure the N CSI-RS resources within the plurality of slots, to configure the N CSI-RS resources for the terminal. That is, the network device can configure the N CSI-RS resources within the plurality of slots, to configure the N CSI-RS resources for the terminal. In one implementation, the network device determines the sub-band size configured for the terminal, and configures the N CSI-RS resources within the plurality of slots using the second configured time-frequency pattern according to the sub-band size, the density of each CSI-RS resource, and the number of ports of each CSI-RS resource. For example, the network device may adopt the method of configuring N CSI-RS resources in two adjacent slots, to configure N CSI-RS resources for the terminal, wherein the time interval between the two slots is no greater than X slots, where X is a positive integer.
[00168] Optionally, in one embodiment of the present invention, a method for configuring the N CSI-RS resources in two slots is defined as follows: Method 2-1, configure a first CSI-RS resource in a first slot and configure a second CSI-RS resource in a second slot. The number of CSI-RS resources included in the first CSI-RS resource is N1, and the number of CSI-RS resources included in the second CSI-RS resource is N-N1.
[00169] In one implementation, the network device can determine Petition 870250120923, dated 12 / 29 / 2025, page 47 / 222 42 / 89 the sub-band size configured for the terminal; the network device determines the density of each CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal. The network device configures the N CSI-RS resources within the plurality of slots using the second time-frequency pattern configured according to the sub-band size, the density of each CSI-RS resource, and the number of ports of each CSI-RS resource. As an example, the network device may configure the N CSI-RS resources in two adjacent slots. For example, the network device may configure the first CSI-RS resource among the N CSI-RS resources within the first slot, and configure the second CSI-RS resource among the N CSI-RS resources within the second slot, where a time interval between the first slot and the second slot is less than or equal to X slots, where X is a positive integer.
[00170] In one possible implementation, the number of CSI-RS resources included in the first CSI-RS resource is , and the formula for calculating is expressed as follows: , where is a rounded-up function, [] is a rounded-down function, and N is the number of CSI-RS resources; the number of CSI-RS resources included in the second CSI-RS resource is N
[00171] In one possible implementation, the density of the first CSI-RS resource is identical to the density of the second CSI-RS resource; or the density of the first CSI-RS resource is different from the density of the second CSI-RS resource. That is, in the case where the N CSI-RS resources are configured in two adjacent slots, the density of the first CSI-RS resources may be identical to or different from the density of the second CSI-RS resource configured in the two slots.
[00172] In one possible implementation, a time-frequency resource position of the first CSI-RS resource is identical to a position of Petition 870250120923, dated 12 / 29 / 2025, page 48 / 222 43 / 89 time-frequency resource of the second CSI-RS resource; or a time-frequency resource position of the first CSI-RS resource is different from a time-frequency resource position of the second CSI-RS resource; or time-frequency resource positions of a CSI-RS resource portion in the first CSI-RS resource are identical to time-frequency resource positions of a CSI-RS resource portion in the second CSI-RS resource; or time-frequency resource positions of a CSI-RS resource portion in the first CSI-RS resource are different from time-frequency resource positions of a CSI-RS resource portion in the second CSI-RS resource.
[00173] That is, in the case where N CSI-RS resources are configured in two adjacent slots, the time-frequency resource positions of the first CSI-RS resource and the second CSI-RS resource configured in the two slots may be identical or different. Alternatively, the time-frequency resource positions of some of the CSI-RS resources in the first CSI-RS resource and some of the CSI-RS resources in the second CSI-RS resource configured in the two slots may be identical or different.
[00174] For example, consider that a limit value for the total number of CSI-RS resource ports of the N CSI-RS resources within a slot is Pth = 48. Assuming that gNB configures for the terminal a set of CSI-RS resources containing N = 4 CSI-RS resources (each of which corresponds to a TRP and has 32 ports, the density of each CSI-RS resource being 1 RE / RB / port), it is determined that the total number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources is by virtue of , and the densities of the CSI-RS resources are greater than 0.5 RE / RB / port. According to the definition of the CSI-RS resource configuration conditions, the 4 CSI-RS resources need to be configured in two slots. As shown in Figure 9, the device of Petition 870250120923, dated 12 / 29 / 2025, page 49 / 222 / 89 network may adopt the 2-1 Method described to configure the two CSI-RS resources in two slots, such as configuring the first and second CSI-RS resources in the T-th slot, and configuring the third and fourth CSI-RS resources in the (T+1)-th slot.
[00175] Optionally, in one embodiment of the present invention, a method for configuring the N CSI-RS resources within a slot is defined as follows: Method 2-2, when CSI-RS resources within a slot of two adjacent slots are greater than or equal to two CSI-RS resources, the “Method 1-1” or the “Method 1-2” disclosed may be adopted to configure these CSI-RS resources in the correct slot, wherein these CSI-RS resources refer to the CSI-RS resources that need to be configured in the correct slot.
[00176] In an implementation, when CSI-RS resources within the first slot are greater than or equal to two CSI-RS resources (that is, the number of CSI-RS resources included in the first CSI-RS resource that need to be configured within the first slot is greater than or equal to 2), the first CSI-RS resource can be configured within the first slot using the exposed 1-1 Method. As an example, the network device determines that the number of CSI-RS resources included in the first CSI-RS resource is greater than or equal to 2, then the network device can configure the CSI-RS resources included in the first CSI-RS resource within the first slot, where the densities of the CSI-RS resources included in the first CSI-RS resource are identical or different. Optionally, the first CSI-RS resource is configured within the first slot, and a CSI-RS resource with a density less than 0.5 RE / RB / port can be configured.
[00177] In another implementation, when CSI-RS resources within the first slot are greater than or equal to two CSI-RS resources (that is, the number of CSI-RS resources included in the first resource of Petition 870250120923, dated 12 / 29 / 2025, page 50 / 222 / 89 If the CSI-RS that needs to be configured within the first slot is greater than or equal to 2), the first CSI-RS resource can be configured within the first slot using Method 1-2 as described. As an example, when the network device determines that the number of CSI-RS resources included in the first CSI-RS resource is greater than or equal to 2, then the network device can determine the densities of the CSI-RS resources included in the first CSI-RS resource configured for the endpoint, where the densities of the CSI-RS resources included in the first CSI-RS resource are identical, and the densities are 0.5 RE / RB / port. The network device can configure the first CSI-RS resource within the first slot according to the PRB resource index and the densities of the CSI-RS resources included in the first CSI-RS resource.
[00178] For example, the network device can configure some of the CSI-RS resources in the first CSI-RS resource in odd-numbered positions of the PRB resource index, and configure the remaining CSI-RS resources in the first CSI-RS resource in even-numbered positions of the PRB resource index. A number of CSI-RS resources included in this part of the CSI-RS resources is , such as the first CSI-RS resources or the last CSI-RS resources, a number of CSI-RS resources included in the remaining CSI-RS resources is - , where is the number of CSI-RS resources included in the first CSI-RS resource.
[00179] In one implementation, when CSI-RS resources within the second slot are greater than or equal to two CSI-RS resources (that is, the number of CSI-RS resources included in the second CSI-RS resource that needs to be configured within the second slot is greater than or equal to 2), the second CSI-RS resource can be configured within the second slot using the exposed 1-1 Method. As an example, the network device determines that the number of CSI-RS resources included in the second CSI-RS resource is greater than or equal to 2, then the network device can Petition 870250120923, dated 12 / 29 / 2025, page 51 / 222 46 / 89 Configure the CSI-RS resources included in the second CSI-RS resource within the second slot, where the densities of the CSI-RS resources included in the second CSI-RS resource are identical or different. Optionally, the second CSI-RS resource is configured within the second slot, and a CSI-RS resource with a density less than 0.5 RE / RB / port can be configured.
[00180] In another implementation, when the CSI-RS resources within the second slot are greater than or equal to two CSI-RS resources (that is, the number of CSI-RS resources included in the second CSI-RS resource that needs to be configured within the second slot is greater than or equal to 2), the second CSI-RS resource can be configured within the second slot using Method 1-2 as described. As an example, when the network device determines that the number of CSI-RS resources included in the second CSI-RS resource is greater than or equal to 2, then the network device determines the densities of the CSI-RS resources included in the second CSI-RS resource configured for the endpoint, where the densities of the CSI-RS resources included in the second CSI-RS resource are identical, and the densities are 0.5 RE / RB / port. The network device can configure the second CSI-RS resource within the second slot according to the PRB resource index and the densities of the CSI-RS resources included in the second CSI-RS resource.
[00181] For example, the network device may configure some of the CSI-RS resources in the second CSI-RS resource in odd-numbered positions of the PRB resource index, and configure the remaining CSI-RS resources in the second CSI-RS resource in even-numbered positions of the PRB resource index. The number of CSI-RS resources included in this portion of the CSI-RS resources is , such as the first CSI-RS resources or the last CSI-RS resources, and the number of CSI-RS resources included in the remaining CSI-RS resources is , where is the number of Petition 870250120923, dated 12 / 29 / 2025, page 52 / 222 47 / 89 CSI-RS resources are included in the first CSI-RS resource, and is the number of CSI-RS resources included in the second CSI-RS resource.
[00182] By implementing this embodiment of the present invention, when the network device determines that the total number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources is greater than the first limit value and the number of CSI-RS resources is greater than the second limit value, the N CSI-RS resources can be configured within the plurality of slots. By rationally configuring all CSI-RS resources, the impact on system performance can be reduced.
[00183] With regard to Figure 10, it is a flowchart of another method for configuring CSI-RS resources according to an embodiment of the present invention. It should be noted that the method can be performed by a network device. As shown in Figure 10, the method may include, but is not limited to, the following steps in 1001-1005.
[00184] In 1001, a total number of ports of the N CSIRS resources is determined according to the number of ports of each CSIRS resource among the N CSI-RS resources and the number of CSI-RS resources configured for the terminal.
[00185] In the embodiment of the present invention, each CSI-RS resource corresponds to a TRP for CJT, and N is an integer greater than 1.
[00186] In the embodiment of the present invention, step 1001 can be implemented in any of the ways in the embodiments of the present invention, which is not limited to the embodiment of the present invention and will not be repeated again.
[00187] In 1002, a density of each CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal is determined.
[00188] In the embodiment of the present invention, step 1002 can be implemented in any of the ways in the embodiments of the present invention, which is not limited to the embodiment of the present invention and will not be Petition 870250120923, dated 12 / 29 / 2025, p. 53 / 222 / 89 repeated again.
[00189] In 1003, it is determined that the total number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources is greater than the first limit value and the densities of the N CSI-RS resources are different, or that the total number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources is greater than the first limit value and the densities of the N CSI-RS resources are identical, but greater than 0.5 RE / RB / port.
[00190] In the embodiment of the present invention, the first limit value is a limit value of a total number of CSI-RS resource ports out of the N CSI-RS resources in a single slot (or a slot).
[00191] In one possible implementation, the network device determines the configured time-frequency pattern of the N CSIRS resources based on the total Ptot number of ports of the N CSIRS resources, the first threshold value, and the density of each CSIRS resource. As an example, the network device compares the total Ptot number of ports of the N CSIRS resources with the first threshold value and determines if the densities of the N CSIRS resources are identical. If the total number of ports of the N CSIRS resources is greater than the first threshold value and the densities of the N CSIRS resources are different, the network device can execute step 1004.Alternatively, if the total number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources is greater than the first threshold value, the densities of the N CSI-RS resources are identical, and the densities are determined to be greater than 0.5 RE / RB / port, the network device can execute step 1004, that is, determine that the configured time-frequency pattern of the N CSI-RS resources is the second configured time-frequency pattern. In other words, the N CSI-RS resources can be configured within a plurality of slots, such as configuring the N CSI-RS resources in two adjacent slots.
[00192] In 1004, it is determined that the configured time-frequency pattern of the N CSI-RS resources is a second configured time-frequency pattern. Petition 870250120923, dated 12 / 29 / 2025, page 54 / 222 / 89
[00193] In the embodiment of the present invention, the second configured time-frequency pattern indicates the time-frequency domain resource mapping of the N CSI-RS resources within the plurality of slots.
[00194] That is, when the network device determines that the total number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources is greater than the first limit value and the densities of the N CSI-RS resources are different, or that the total number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources is greater than the first limit value and the densities of the N CSI-RS resources are identical, but the densities are greater than 0.5 RE / RB / port, then the network device can determine that the configured time-frequency pattern of the N CSI-RS resources is the second configured time-frequency pattern. That is, the N CSI-RS resources can be configured within the plurality of slots.
[00195] In 1005, the N CSI-RS resources are configured for the terminal according to the configured time-frequency pattern. The N CSI-RS resources are used by the network device to obtain N pieces of downlink channel information from the TRP to the terminal.
[00196] In the embodiment of the present invention, step 1005 can be implemented in any of the ways of step 804 in the embodiment of the present invention, which is not limited in the embodiment of the present invention and will not be repeated again.
[00197] By implementing this embodiment of the present invention, when the network device determines that the total number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources is greater than the first limit value and the densities of the N CSI-RS resources are different, or that the total number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources is greater than the first limit value and the densities of the N CSI-RS resources are identical but greater than 0.5 RE / RB / port, the N CSI-RS resources can be configured within the plurality of slots. By rationally configuring all CSI-RS resources, the impact on system performance can be reduced. Petition 870250120923, dated 12 / 29 / 2025, p. 55 / 222 / 89
[00198] With regard to Figure 11, it is a flowchart of another method for configuring CSI-RS resources according to an embodiment of the present invention. It should be noted that the method can be performed by a network device. As shown in Figure 11, the method may include, but is not limited to, the following steps in 1101-1104.
[00199] In 1101, a density of each CSI-RS resource among the N CSI-RS resources and the number of ports of each CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal is determined.
[00200] In the embodiment of the present invention, each CSI-RS resource corresponds to a TRP for CJT, and N is an integer greater than 1.
[00201] In the embodiment of the present invention, step 1101 can be implemented in any of the ways in the embodiments of the present invention, which is not limited to the embodiment of the present invention and will not be repeated again.
[00202] In 1102, it is determined that the number of CSI-RS resources is greater than a second threshold value and the densities of the N CSI-RS resources are different, or that the number of CSI-RS resources is greater than a second threshold value and the densities of the N CSI-RS resources are identical, but greater than 0.5 RE / RB / port.
[00203] In the embodiment of the present invention, the second limit value is a limit value of a total number of CSI-RS resources out of the N CSI-RS resources in a single slot (or a slot).
[00204] In one possible implementation, the network device determines the configured time-frequency pattern of the N CSIRS resources based on the number N (or Ntrp) of CSI-RS resources, the second threshold value, and the density of each CSI-RS resource. As an example, the network device compares the number N (or Ntrp) of CSI-RS resources with the second threshold value and determines if the density of each CSI-RS resource is identical. If the number of CSI-RS resources is greater than the Petition 870250120923, dated 12 / 29 / 2025, page 56 / 222 / 89, according to the second limit value and the densities of the N CSI-RS resources are different, or if the number of CSI-RS resources is greater than the second limit value and the densities of the N CSI-RS resources are identical but greater than 0.5 RE / RB / port, the network device may execute step 1103, that is, determine that the configured time-frequency pattern of the N CSI-RS resources is the second configured time-frequency pattern. That is, the N CSI-RS resources may be configured within a plurality of slots, such as configuring the N CSI-RS resources in two adjacent slots.
[00205] In 1103, it is determined that the configured time-frequency pattern of the N CSI-RS resources is a second configured time-frequency pattern.
[00206] Optionally, the network device can determine that the configured time-frequency pattern of the N CSI-RS resources is the second configured time-frequency pattern. That is, the N CSI-RS resources can be configured within the plurality of slots.
[00207] In 1104, the N CSI-RS resources are configured for the terminal according to the configured time-frequency pattern. The N CSI-RS resources are used by the network device to obtain N pieces of downlink channel information from the TRP to the terminal.

By rationally configuring all CSI-RS resources, the impact on system performance can be reduced.
[00210] With regard to Figure 12, it is a flowchart of another method for configuring CSI-RS resources according to an embodiment of the present invention. It should be noted that the method can be performed by a network device. As shown in Figure 12, the method may include, but is not limited to, the following steps in 1201-1206.
[00211] In 1201, a total number of ports of the N CSIRS resources is determined according to the number of ports of each CSIRS resource among the N CSI-RS resources and the number of CSI-RS resources configured for the terminal.

As an example, the network device compares the total Ptot number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources with the first threshold value, determines the value of the codebook parameter R, and determines whether the density of each CSI-RS resource is identical. If the total number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources is greater than the first threshold value, the codebook parameter R is 1, and the densities of the N CSI-RS resources are different, or if the total number of ports of the N CSI-RS resources is greater than the first threshold value, the codebook parameter R is 1, and the densities of the N CSI-RS resources are identical but greater than 0.5 RE / RB / port, the network device can execute step 1205, that is, determine that the configured time-frequency pattern of the N CSI-RS resources is the second configured time-frequency pattern. That is, the N CSI-RS resources can be configured within a plurality of slots, such as configuring the N CSI-RS resources in two adjacent slots.
