Abstract

The present utility model patent, "positive displacement pump," refers to a specific pump that, after an independent rotation of its shaft, displaces a fixed volume of product, regardless of the pressure conditions at the outlet. It is noteworthy that this type of pump can be configured with a fixed seal (plunger) or a movable seal (piston). In this case, the model in question will be the movable seal type, characterized by the piston (1) itself being responsible for sealing and pressurizing the system. This system features a series of improvements developed, including the availability of a ceramic or metallic sleeve (2), both offering the same performance during operation, differing only in the durability of the components; the polymeric piston (1) was designed to adapt and offer the same performance regardless of the material of the sleeve in question. The quick-change cylinder system (3) has an internal geometry specifically designed to accommodate various cylinder sizes, and the adapter bracket (4) allows for flexible product installation, whether for replacement or new installation.

Description

“POSITIVE DISPLACEMENT PUMP” 1. INTRODUCTION 001 This descriptive report of a Utility Model Patent concerns a Positive Displacement Pump, which refers to a specific pump that, after an independent rotation of its shaft, displaces a fixed volume of product, regardless of the pressure conditions at the outlet. 2. SCOPE OF APPLICATION 002 The field of application for this Positive Displacement Pump relates to the hydro-mechanical area. 3. PURPOSE 003 The purpose of this Positive Displacement Pump refers to a pump equipped with a movable sealing system that, after one rotation of its shaft, displaces a fixed volume of product, regardless of the pressure conditions at the outlet, highlighting that in this specific case, the purpose is to increase the sealing efficiency of the piston. 4. STATE OF THE ART 004 In order to place a product with unique development characteristics on the market, prior art searches were conducted using the INPI database, and the following processes were found: - BR 11 2017 007471-0 filed on 10 / 13 / 2015 under the title "POSITIVE DISPLACEMENT PUMP AND PUMPING UNIT FOR FLUID PRODUCTS AND METHOD FOR THEIR USE", which remains unpublished to date. - PI9705665-0, filed on 07 / 21 / 1997 under the title "POSITIVE DISPLACEMENT HYDRAULIC PUMP AND / OR MOTOR, INTERNAL GEAR, WITH VARIABLE FLOW AT CONSTANT SPEED AND WITH AXIAL AND RADIAL COMPENSATION," refers to a reversible positive displacement hydraulic pump. Petition 870180058179, dated 05 / 07 / 2018, page 6 / 11 2 / 3 as a hydraulic, gear-driven motor with variable flow at constant speed, manually or automatically controlled, equipped with axial compensation only or doubly equipped with axial and radial compensation. 005 From the comparative analysis between the document found and the Positive Displacement Pump now under consideration, it is clear that the technical improvements introduced in it entitle it to the privilege of a utility model. 5. Technological Advancement The 006 Positive Displacement Pump features considerable technological advancement, highlighting the following characteristics: - Polymer piston and ceramic or metal cylinder liner with mechanical enhancements for better durability. - Quick cylinder change system, which provides flexibility in the application of the solution; 6. DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURE 007 To obtain a complete and thorough visualization of the structure of the Positive Displacement Pump presented herein and the subject of this Utility Model Patent, the attached illustrative drawings are included, to which reference is made as follows: Figure 1: Represents a partial view of the illustrative diagram: 7. MODEL DESCRIPTION 008 As can be inferred from the illustrative drawing that accompanies and forms an integral part of this report, the Positive Displacement Pump presented here refers to the specific pump that, after an independent rotation of its shaft, displaces a fixed volume of product, regardless of the pressure conditions at the outlet. It should be noted that this type of pump can be configured with a fixed seal (plunger) or with a movable seal (piston), and in this case, the model discussed here will be the movable seal model. Petition 870180058179, dated 05 / 07 / 2018, page 7 / 11 3 / 3 009 In this case, the technological advancement introduced in the Positive Displacement Pump corresponds to and implies that it is equipped with a movable sealing system, where the piston (1) itself has the function of sealing and pressurizing the system, which highlights a series of improvements developed for such a system, namely the availability of a ceramic sleeve (2), a polymeric piston (1), and a quick-change cylinder system (3), where: - Ceramic or Metallic Shirt (2): 010 The proposed system aims to utilize ceramic or metallic jackets, both of which offer the same performance during operation, differing only in the durability of the components. - Polymer Piston (1): 011 It was designed to adapt and deliver the same performance regardless of the material of the cylinder liner in question. The increased efficiency of the piston seal is due to its constructive geometry and its controlled elastic deformation during the water suction / discharge process. - Quick Change System (3): 012 The pump in question was developed with a quick-change displacement system, as it has an internal geometry specifically designed to accommodate various displacements. 013 Its quick-change system consists of a set of ceramic and / or metal sleeves (2) with polymer pistons (1) and their respective fastening components. The quick-change system is provided by a sleeve coupling flange (3), which has steps that are guides for coupling the sleeves. 8. CONCLUSION 014 It is verified by all that has been described and illustrated that this is a Positive Displacement Pump, which falls within the norms governing the Utility Model Patent, and should, consequently, deserve the requested privilege.

Claims

1) “POSITIVE DISPLACEMENT PUMP” refers to the specific pump that, after an independent rotation of its shaft, displaces a fixed volume of product, regardless of the pressure conditions at the outlet.
