"Feature introduced in an adjustable wallet for right-handed or left-handed users" INTRODUCTION
[001] This descriptive report refers to a utility model patent application for a desk, belonging to the technical sector of school furniture and for other applications, which has been provided with an adjustable design and can function alternatively as a writing surface (table) for right-handed (right) or left-handed (left) users. STATE OF THE ART
[002] School desks and desks for other uses are already known to consist essentially of: a chair frame; and a writing tablet (table) mounted on the chair frame, positioned slightly in front of and above the seat, so that the user sits on the chair frame and rests their writing materials and hand on the tablet. Within this basic desk configuration, numerous variations are known to meet the most diverse needs, such as ergonomic aspects of potential users, the type of use to which the furniture will be subjected, such as, for example, whether for school use, whether intended only for writing, whether intended for the use of a notebook and other objects and situations. In the most common form of construction, this type of desk has the writing tablet positioned to the right or left of the seat, for right-handed or left-handed users, respectively.This design does not fully meet the conditions of use for which this type of furniture can be employed.
[003] Within this, several documents show school desks, such as: MU 8702013-0; MU 8500177-5; MU 7801598-7. The models disclosed in these documents are generally composed of: Petition 870200136711, dated 10 / 29 / 2020, page 4 / 21 / 6 for chair structure; writing tablet and possibly a device for adjusting the height of the writing tablet, without concern for accommodating right-handed and left-handed users. OBJECTIVES OF THE PROVISION
[004] Thus, the objective of the present utility model patent is to provide a school wallet and other wallets that overcome the limitations and problems of the aforementioned state of the art, especially with regard to being usable by right-handed or left-handed users.
[005] Another objective is to provide a wallet that features a right-left adjustment mechanism that is simple to construct and use.
[006] Another objective is to provide a wallet that, despite having a right-left reversal mechanism, does not have its appearance compromised as a result, so as to constitute a useful and suitable piece of furniture to complete the decoration of the environment where it is installed.
[007] Another objective is to provide a simple and low-cost construction and manufacturing portfolio. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DISPOSITION
[008] In view, therefore, of the aforementioned problems and with the purpose of overcoming them and aiming to meet the related objectives, the arrangement introduced in an adjustable desk, the object of this utility model patent, was developed, which essentially comprises: a chair structure; a drawing board (table) arranged in the chair structure; and an adjustment device to position the drawing board for use by right-handed people, on the right, or left-handed people, on the left, comprising, Petition 870200136711, dated 10 / 29 / 2020, p. 5 / 21 / 6 essentially: by an “L”-shaped arm defined: by a vertical branch, at the upper end of which rests one of the ends of the lower face of the drawing board, so that it can rotate in relation to the vertical branch; and by a horizontal branch whose free end is articulatedly mounted in a joint located under and in the center of the seat of the chair structure, so that said horizontal branch can move at an angle between a position in which the vertical branch is located and the drawing board mounted on it to the right or to the left of the seat.
[009] This wallet design solves the limitations and problems of the prior art, through a simple construction and use adjustment mechanism, thus meeting the main objective of the design.
[010] Furthermore, the characteristics of the adjustment device do not compromise the visual appeal of the furniture, so that it can have an overall ornamental configuration that contributes to the decoration of the environment where it is used, which fulfills another objective of the arrangement.
[011] The wallet in this provision has a simple and low-cost construction and manufacture, meeting other objectives of the provision. LIST OF DRAWINGS

[020] As illustrated in the figures above and provided for in the provision, the desk 1, the subject of this patent application, is a desk for school use or for other applications, consisting of: a chair structure 2, composed of: a seat 3; a backrest 4; legs 5; casters 6 arranged at the ends of the legs 5; a shelf for objects 7, arranged under the seat 3 and mounted between the legs 5; said desk 1 also consisting of: a rectangular writing board (table) 10 arranged slightly in front of and above the seat 3 and intended to support writing material and the user's hand with which he writes; and a device 20 for mounting the writing board 10 on the chair structure 2.
[021] In the present arrangement, and this constituting the main object to be protected in the patent, the device 20 (figs. 2, 3) is an adjustment device 20 for arranging the clipboard 10 alternatively for a right-handed user (fig. 4) or for a left-handed user (fig. 5).
[022] In detail, said adjustment device 20 is formed (figs 2, 3): by a movable “L”-shaped arm 21-22, composed of a vertical branch 21 positioned slightly ahead of the front edge of the seat 3; by a substantially fork-shaped support 23-24 equipped with branches Petition 870200136711, dated 10 / 29 / 2020, p. 7 / 21 / 6 in “V” 23 and sleeve 24 arranged at the vertex thereof, mounted and able to rotate at the upper free end of the vertical branch 21; said support 23-24 has the drawing board 10 mounted on it so that under and centrally one of its ends is arranged the sleeve 24, so that the drawing board 10 can rotate on itself in the vertical branch 21. Said movable “L” arm 21-22 is further formed by a lower horizontal branch 22, extending from the vertical branch 21 to under the seat 3 and whose end is mounted on an articulation hub 25 with a vertical axis, which is mounted in the center of the lower structure 3' of the seat 3, so that said lower horizontal branch 22 can move at an angle between a position in which the vertical branch 21 is arranged to the right (fig.4) of seat 3, in which said drawing board 10 is extended to the left from said vertical branch 21 and in front of seat 3 and said horizontal branch 22 can move at an angle to another position in which the vertical branch 21 is placed to the left (fig. 5) of seat 3, in which said drawing board 10 is extended to the right in relation to vertical branch 21.
[023] Thus, when the desk is in use by a right-handed user (fig. 4), the “L” arm 21-22 has its lower horizontal arm 22 positioned at an angle under the seat 3; the vertical arm 21 is positioned slightly beyond the front right corner of the seat 3 and the clipboard 10 extends to the left from the vertical arm 21, above and in front of the seat 3. When it is desired to position the desk for a left-handed user, the “L” arm 21-22 is moved at an angle to the left, so that its lower horizontal arm 22 is angled and extended to the left under the seat 3 (fig. 5); the vertical arm 21 is positioned slightly beyond the front left corner of the seat 3 and the clipboard 10 is rotated on itself on the vertical arm. [024] In a preferred construction, as illustrated, desk 1 has seat 3 and backrest 4 in a single piece of thermoplastic material. The feet 5 and the “L” shaped arm 21-22 are tubular; the seat frame 3', the support 23-24; the hub 25 are metallic; the casters 6 are double and the shelf 7, under the seat, is made of wire-type material, all of the same color and a different color from the seat and backrest 3-4. The drawing board 10 is rectangular with rounded corners, covered with smooth material and edges with rounded trim.
[025] Within the basic construction described above, wallet 1, the subject of this patent, may have modifications relating to materials, dimensions, construction details and / or functional and / or ornamental configuration, without departing from the scope of the protection sought.
[026] Within this context, the description above was made based on a school desk, but nothing prevents the construction from being applied to desks for other purposes or even chairs or similar items not necessarily used for the same applications as desks.
