Description

1 / 6 CONSTRUCTIVE ARRANGEMENT INTRODUCED IN ANCHOR BOLT

[001] This Utility Model Patent relates to a new constructive arrangement introduced in an anchor bolt applied to guardrail systems, belonging to the technical sector of civil construction, more particularly, it relates to an anchor bolt that has the function of receiving the channeled rebars and simultaneously the upright that will receive the glass and railings of a guardrail, providing very advantageous practical, safe and functional results.

[002] Guardrail anchors are widely known in the state of the art, and are even provided for in technical standards, which serve to provide strength to balcony guardrails. These elements may receive other designations such as insert, strut or anchorage. It is, therefore, the structural element responsible for the connection between the structure of a guardrail (posts, handrails, closing elements) with the structure of the building.

[003] Despite being known, the great challenge of the state of the art is to find a practical and efficient way to produce an anchor that is easy to manufacture and that allows for quick and efficient installation of the guardrail.

[004] Thus, as part of the state of the art, we highlight document PI9804460-2, published on 03 / 14 / 2000, referring to “IMPROVED GUARDRAIL STRUCTURE AND METHOD OF ASSEMBLY OF A GUARDRAIL STRUCTURE”, which according to its summary is: “IMPROVED GUARDRAIL STRUCTURE AND METHOD OF ASSEMBLY OF A GUARDRAIL STRUCTURE, of the type intended to surround restricted areas, such as balconies in buildings, or even along stairs or structures Petition 870210092794, dated 07 / 10 / 2021, p. 5 / 23 2 / 6 similar, comprising a set of parts including fixing pins (1), posts (2), lower fixing profiles (3), silicone-encapsulated glass parts (4), upper fixing profiles (5), handrail profiles (6), horizontal connectors (7) and vertical connectors (8); the present method in turn begins with the first stage which comprises marking the mounting axis on the receiving surface, in this particular the method now proposed differs from the methodology normally employed by the fact that it provides for the marking of two drilling points for each post; the second stage comprises the execution of the drilling itself, according to the desired spacing for the posts (2); the third stage comprises positioning each post (2), so that its pins (1) are properly driven into their respective holes (10), produced in the receiving surface; The fourth step involves positioning the lower fixing profile (3) along the alignment or axis marked in the first step, said profile preferably being fixed using stainless steel bushings and screws; the fifth step involves positioning the glass pieces encapsulated in silicone (4), in which a small volume of structural paste silicone is used to ensure the sealing and fixing of the piece (4) with respect to the channel portion (21) of the profile (3); the sixth step of the present method involves positioning the upper fixing profile (5) so that it fits over the posts (2), which also determines the locking of the profile (5) over the upper horizontal edge (24) of the glass piece encapsulated in silicone (4);The sixth stage also includes the joining of the profile (5) and the upper end of the posts (2), by means of screws (18), which pass through the first and fasten into longitudinal recesses (17), profiled in; Petition 870210092794, dated 07 / 10 / 2021, page 6 / 23 3 / 6 post (2); the seventh step comprises the positioning and adjustment of the connectors (7 or 8, as needed), in their respective degrees, and, specifically regarding the positioning and fixing of the connectors, screws (32) are used which ensure the elimination of any play between the corresponding parts of the connectors and the proper location for their insertion at the ends of the upper fixing profile (5).”

[005] Note, however, that this state-of-the-art anchor shortens some installation steps compared to traditional guardrails, where we have the post and upright, in this case the anchor itself is the upright of the guardrail. However, its installation takes a little longer since it is necessary to wait for the adhesive to "cure" before "fixing" the rebars to the post. In addition, performing this "gluing" is not at all simple and does not provide guarantees since it is not possible to see if the three elements (rebar, glue, post) are free of adhesion defects.

[006] Additionally, we emphasize that the correct manufacture of a state-of-the-art anchor bolt requires special equipment that is not accessible to all window and door frame manufacturers. Due to the fact that this equipment is not accessible, many window and door frame industries opt to manufacture anchor bolts in an "artisanal" manner, which may not allow them to perform machining operations properly.

[007] Thus, the new anchor bolt was developed, the subject of this Utility Model Patent, which meets the market need to enable the manufacture of anchor bolts in a practical way and with conventional tools and machines present in all joinery industries such as saws, drills and punches (for driving the pins), which Petition 870210092794, dated 07 / 10 / 2021, page 7 / 23 4 / 6, with its constructive arrangement, features channeled rebars that are fixed to the upright, which will be joined to the handrail of various shapes, in addition to a channel to receive the installation of glass or grating, before being fixed to the floor, solving the aforementioned inconveniences and providing other advantages resulting from its design.

[008] The present utility model patent will be better understood through the attached drawings which schematically represent: Figure 1 - Perspective view of the new constructive arrangement introduced in the anchor bolt, highlighting the front, top and left side faces; Figure 2 - Perspective view of the anchor bolt, highlighting the front, top and right side faces; Figure 3 - exploded perspective view of the anchor bolt; Figure 4 - transparent perspective view of the anchor bolt; Figure 5 - perspective view of one of the channeled cylindrical reinforcing bars of the anchor bolt; Figure 6 - Top view of one of the grooved cylindrical reinforcing bars of the anchor bolt; Figure 7 - Perspective detail of the anchor bolt assembly; Figure 8 - transparent perspective view of a constructive variant of the anchor bolt; Figure 9 - transparent perspective view of a constructive variant of the anchor without the channeled cylindrical reinforcing bars; and Figure 10 - Perspective detail of the assembly of the constructive variant of the anchor bolt.

[009] According to the figures presented, the new constructive arrangement introduced in the anchor bolt, which has a height (A) proportional to Petition 870210092794, dated 07 / 10 / 2021, page 8 / 23 5 / 6 height of the guardrail and comprises a main body (1), of rectangular cross-section, provided on the sides with protrusions that form two channels (11) for fixing the glass or railing of the guardrail and internally provided with two cylindrical housings (12) with protrusions (12'), in addition to the two channels (11), lateral to the body (1), through holes (13) are provided, which also pass through the cylindrical housings (12) for coupling and fixing the channeled cylindrical rods (2), which are provided with holes (21) coinciding with the through holes (13) for fixing them in the main body (1) by means of the pins (3), in addition to channels (22) for fitting into the protrusions (12') thus positioning the channeled cylindrical rods (2) with the holes (21) in the direction of the lateral through holes (13). When one of the channels (11) is not being used, it is closed by the cover (4).Said through holes (13) and (21) may be made at the factory or on site.

[010] According to figures 8 to 10, in a constructive variant, the main body (1) will have a square cross-section, provided on the sides with protrusions that form four channels (111) for fixing the glass or railing of the guardrail and internally it will be provided with four cylindrical housings (121) with protrusions (121'), in addition to the four channels (111) on the sides of the body (1) having through holes (131), which also pass through the cylindrical housings (121) for coupling and fixing the four channeled cylindrical rods (2). When some of the channels (111) are not being used, they are closed by the covers (41).

[011] According to figure 7, with the new constructive arrangement introduced in the anchor, its use becomes very simple, simply anchoring the channeled cylindrical rods (2), with the main body (1) Petition 870210092794, dated 07 / 10 / 2021, p. 9 / 23 6 / 6 already fixed to the same, on the floor (P) using high-strength adhesive, where the main body (1) will form the upright that, through the channels (11), receives the glass or grid that makes up the railing.

[012] Optionally, the glass or railing that forms the guardrail may be fixed before the channeled cylindrical rods (2) are embedded in the floor (P).

[013] The anchor, as designed, offers the following advantages: - Allows the use of 2 or 4 channeled cylindrical reinforcing bars; - Allow for a glass window to be installed above the railing to completely enclose the balcony; and - It allows for the expansion of the user's common room in a building.

[014] The scope of this utility model patent, therefore, should not be limited to construction details, but rather only to the terms defined in the claim and their equivalents. Petition 870210092794, dated 07 / 10 / 2021, p. 10 / 23
