Abstract
Description
1 / 3 “CONSTRUCTIVE ARRANGEMENT APPLIED TO A LIGHT FIXTURE”
[01] This utility model relates to a novel constructive arrangement applied to a ceiling-type luminaire, consisting of a support base for mounting the socket containing an exclusive fastening means for fixing the outer finishing cover, allowing its assembly by means of simple snap-fit, of the click type, as well as quick disassembly by means of a 1 / 4 turn rotation. STATE OF THE ART
[02] Currently, a variety of ceiling light fixture models can be found on the market, consisting of a primary support base to be fixed to the ceiling or wall by means of screws over the point of passage of the electrical wiring, said support containing a pair of locking pins for mounting the socket connected to the electrical wiring, and which receive an external finishing cover of circular shape containing a lower cylindrical extension to accommodate the socket with lower access for fixing the lamp, covering the point of passage of the wiring and the support base with socket.
[03] In the current state of the art there are several means and forms of mounting this outer finishing cap under the socket support base, as taught by document BR 202018071341-3, where the finishing cap is fixed to the support base with a 90° turn over a threaded section between the two parts. MODEL OBJECTIVES
[04] One of the objectives of the present model is to provide a luminaire in which the support base has reinforced ends and a larger support area around the opening for the passage of the electrical wiring, providing greater stability and leveling in the assembly of the luminaire. Petition 870220112519, dated 02 / 12 / 2022, page 5 / 13 2 / 3
[05] Another objective of the present model is to provide a luminaire in which the outer finishing cover is easily mounted and dismounted from the support base, allowing greater agility at the time of its installation or maintenance. DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
[06] Figure 1 shows an exploded perspective view of the luminaire indicating the assembly order of its components;
[07] Figure 2 shows a perspective view of the assembled luminaire;
[08] Figure 3 shows a partial cutaway view of detail A indicated in Figure 2, showing the locking mechanism between the support base and the outer trim cover. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE MODEL
[09] According to the attached figures, the luminaire is composed of a support base (1) formed by a central circular frame, from which rays project to opposite sides that interconnect the outer edges (12) in the form of arcs, with 1 / 4 of a circumference, containing central windows (13) for the passage of screws (not shown) for fixing the support to the ceiling or wall.
[010] The central region of the support base (1) has a diametrical crossbar (10), aligned with the two windows (13), containing at the bottom a pair of pins (11) that fit into the holes (21) of the socket (2), keeping the diametrical crossbar (11) fitted over the central channel (20) of the socket (2), allowing the electrical contact pins (22) to receive the installation of the electrical network wires.
[011] With the support base (1) fixed to the ceiling or wall above the point where the electrical wiring passes through, the outer finishing cover (3) is then mounted on the support base (1) by embedding the socket (2) inside the cylindrical extension (33) until the latches (32) located on the inner part of the edges of the cover (3) Petition 870220112519, dated 02 / 12 / 2022, page 6 / 13 3 / 3 fit under pressure on the outer edges (12) of the support base (1), popularly known as click-type fitting.
[012] In one mounting option, the finishing cover (2) is fixed to the support base (1) by positioning the latches (32) in the free space located between the outer edges (12) of the support base (1) which are then locked to the edges (12) of the base (1) by a simple 1 / 4 turn. The same situation in reverse can be used for disassembling the cover (3) under the support base (1).
[013] The support base (1) also has reinforcing ribs (14) over the entire surface of its frame, providing greater rigidity and structural stability, preventing bending, deformation and consequent unevenness of the luminaire when installed at the point of passage of the electrical wiring.
