Description

/ 6 “ARRANGEMENT INTRODUCED IN HINGES FOR ARTICULATED PANELS.” TECHNICAL FIELD

[001] This utility model relates to an arrangement introduced in a hinge for hinged glass, wood or other material panels of doors, windows or similar installed in residential and commercial environments where, notably, said hinge has a simplified construction requiring less machining on the profile, as well as having a unitary fixing region which, associated with the provision of stabilizers, reinforcing walls and a baffle that guarantee the stability of the hinge, making the movement of the door remain stable and safe associated with better aesthetics. HISTORY OF THE TECHNIQUE

[002] It is known that hinges comprise mechanical devices composed of two interconnected parts that allow the articulation of window panels, doors, hinged partitions and others by means of rotation around a fixed axis, allowing the opening and closing of the opening.

[003] A variety of hinge models for articulated panels such as glass panels are found on the market, the conventional ones comprising a pair of rectangular metal plates, each provided on one edge with projecting tubular members offset from each other to receive an axis that allows articulation between the panels, said hinges being installed by means of two or more screws applied to the surfaces of the panels which, when made of glass, are provided with aluminum frames or other material.

[004] A hinge model envisioned in document no. CN2866747Y comprises a height-adjustable hinge for a movable accordion door belonging to the hardware machinery industry, said hinge incorporating a pulley, a hinge, a washer, hinge holes and screw studs, Petition 870230026060, dated 03 / 28 / 2023, page 4 / 19 / 6 characterized by the pulley component being connected to the intermediate section of the hinge with a screw rod and screw nail, a screw rod is supported by the double-threaded screw rod, the lower end of the double-threaded screw rod is connected with an adjusting nut and a locking nut, the upper end of the double-threaded screw rod is connected with a locking nut for decoration, the intermediate end of the double-threaded screw rod is connected with a plurality of washers, the end of the double-threaded screw rod is connected to the pulley component.

[005] Another document, no. US2017089122A1, discloses a folding door of the accordion type having a plurality of elongated articulated panels, the folding panels being interconnected by a hinge assembly comprising a hinge pin and a plurality of hinge joints arranged vertically end to end in an alternating arrangement on the hinge pin, the hinge joint having a central tubular opening to accept the hinge pin; a tongue extending outward to connect to a corresponding longitudinal groove in an adjacent panel in a male and female connection and an outwardly enlarged wedge extending beyond the extension flanges of the panels, whereby the wedge cooperates with the extension flanges to limit the angular folding extension to a desired maximum angle.

[006] Analyzing the documents and models of hinges available on the market, it is a fact that they present a pair of elongated plates which, especially when installed in accordion-style panel models, imply the need for greater machining of the profiles for hinge installation due to the location of installation and fixing, generally distributed at three points on the metal profile to provide support during movement, consequently requiring more machining work on the metal profiles. Petition 870230026060, dated 03 / 28 / 2023, page 5 / 19 / 6

[007] Another drawback is that conventional hinges, due to their elongated plates, can sometimes compromise the aesthetics of the panels, with the hinges being the main focal point.

[008] Thus, it is a fact that the aforementioned documents and analysis of conventional hinges, despite belonging to the same field of application, do not present any of the characteristics of the object now improved, thus guaranteeing that it meets the legal requirements for patentability. FUNCTIONAL IMPROVEMENTS

[009] The main functional improvement consists of presenting a hinge for hinged door, window or similar panels whose fixing plates include stabilizers that promote the proper fit of the hinge in the installation profile and respective reinforcing walls and baffle that provide stability in the articulation, as well as said plates are formed by reduced dimensioning with only one central screw fixing hole requiring, therefore requiring less machining. Advantages Obtained

[010] One advantage of hinges for articulated panels such as glass panels is that their reduced size, combined with the provision of a central hole for mounting a fixing screw, such as metal profiles of the glass panel frame, considerably reduces the need for machining to install the hinges.

[011] Another advantage of the hinge is that it has reinforcing walls which, together with the baffle, provide stability during the articulation of the panels, allowing installation only at the ends of the frame / door.

[012] Another advantage of hinges for articulated panels is that they contribute to the aesthetic aspect, considering that the dimensions of Petition 870230026060, dated 03 / 28 / 2023, page 6 / 19 / 6 hinge attached to the installation location results in discreet hinges that contribute to the final harmony and aesthetics.

[013] Another advantage of the hinge for articulated panels is that it provides stabilizers that allow the hinges to fit into the receiving cradles of the installation profiles, and which, together with the installation screws, increase the stability and fixation of the hinges in relation to the profiles. DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES

[014] To complement the present description in order to obtain a better understanding of the characteristics of the utility model and in accordance with a preferred practical embodiment thereof, a set of drawings is attached to the description, where, in an exemplary, though not limiting, manner, the following is represented:

[015] Figure 1 represents an exploded perspective view of the parts that make up the hinge in question;
