Description

1 / 7 CONSTRUCTIVE ARRANGEMENT IN MODULAR GRAIN CLEANING EQUIPMENT Scope of Application of the Utility Model

[01] The present utility model describes a constructive arrangement in modular grain cleaning equipment. More specifically, it comprises a grain cleaning machine equipped with a modular construction that allows increasing the cleaning capacity according to need, without having to change or replace the current machine, only by adding new modules to the assembly.

[02] This new construction ensures greater agility in the production process, as it is possible to add modules as needed to increase cleaning capacity, without having to replace the machinery. Background of the Utility Model

[03] Grain cleaning machines are equipment designed to remove impurities and unwanted materials from harvested grains, ensuring that the products are of high quality for consumption or processing. These machines are essential in the agricultural industry, as they ensure that the grains are free of debris that could compromise the quality or safety of the product.

[04] The cleaning capacity of these machines can vary widely depending on the type of machine, the specific model and the technology used. Capacity is generally measured in tons per hour (t / h) and can be influenced by several factors, such as the type of grain, the level of impurities present and the technical specifications of the machine. Petition 870250012271, dated 02 / 14 / 2025, page 5 / 26 2 / 7

[05] Currently, when there is a need to increase the grain cleaning capacity in a production line, the machinery is replaced / exchanged for a new one with greater capacity, which entails various costs and a stoppage in the cleaning process for the replacement of this equipment.

[06] Thus, the present inventor, seeking to improve and streamline the production process, developed a grain cleaning machine manufactured in modules that allows the producer to increase the cleaning capacity, enabling the equipment to be adapted to meet changes in production demands, such as seasonal peaks or changes in the type of grain processed.

[07] In a search of the state of the art, we identified several documents claiming equipment for cleaning grains, among which we can highlight the following documents:

[08] Document BR102018000019 (Metso. 2018) describes a module having two consecutive frames with top surfaces, which are connected to an upper face of a frame portion and projecting downwards from the frame by a screen extension. The screen extension terminates in a lower face that is fixed to a lower face of the frame portion. A screen element is formed with holes that are opened in the upper surfaces and in the screen extension. The screen element is fixed with the screen extension and retained within a window of a structural portion when the separation portion of the structural portion is in the structural portion.

[09] Document BRPI0502718 (Erbschwender, Natalie. 2005) describes a sieve module that has a sieve casing and a sieve locked together by a steel lifter. The lifter has a pressure-applied head socket. The casing is Petition 870250012271, dated 02 / 14 / 2025, page 6 / 26 3 / 7 constructed from stringers joined by crossbeams. The crossbeams are internally reinforced with longitudinal and transverse metal beams. The casing also includes lower longitudinal fittings for securing the sieve.

[010] Document BR102022018749 (Haver & Boecker. 2022) describes a screen made of polymeric material, notably elastomer, which allows some degree of flexibility and is formed by a preferably rectangular casing whose planned base has a defined set of hollow elements. A hood is defined on the sides of the same casing. The hood has an orthogonal extension in the form of a semicircular expansion flap.

[011] Document CN211839054 (Yutai. 2020) describes equipment that has a modular frame to include a first frame and a second frame. The first frame and the second frame are provided with a grain cleaning component. The modular frame is provided with a motor. A drive belt is provided on the motor. The motor is connected to the grain cleaning component via the drive belt. A dust removal and cleaning component consists of a grain hopper, an adjustment device, a separator box, a dust removal fan, and an exhaust pipe. The grain hopper is fixed to the top of the separator box.

[012] These documents described in the state of the art describe constructive forms applied in grain cleaning machines equipped with complex constructive forms that do not present the possibility of increasing the cleaning capacity in a modular way, so that to increase the cleaning capacity of these equipment it is necessary to replace or change the machinery, Petition 870250012271, dated 02 / 14 / 2025, page 7 / 26 4 / 7 increasing costs and disrupting the production process in a way that causes various inconveniences.

[013] Thus, the present utility model is a modular grain cleaning equipment that allows increasing cleaning capacity without the need to invest in a completely new machine, through a modular set that allows increasing cleaning capacity according to need. This allows producers and processors to adapt their operations to growing demands and market changes, without the need to completely replace existing equipment. Utility Model Summary

[029] The constructive arrangement in modular cereal cleaning equipment, object of the present utility model, comprises a base module (10) and an input module (20) that allow the formation of the cleaning equipment.

[030] The module (10), placed close to the ground on a fixed base, is equipped with sieve boxes (11) arranged in two rows. In the first row, the grain and smaller impurities pass through the sieves, with the coarser impurities above them, and in the lower row, the smaller impurities pass through the sieves for disposal, with the clean product above and directed to the clean product catcher (30).

[031] The inlet module (20) has a bifurcated structure (21) where the grain enters the machine, and the grain, upon entering through the bifurcation, passes through the air body located next to the module (20), where initial cleaning takes place, and is then directed over the module (10) or other modules located there.

[032] Figures 1 and 2 demonstrate the constructiveness of the machine with the arrangement of modules (10) and (20).

[033] The machine (100) is equipped with a design that allows adding modules (10A) in a simple way, with the aim of increasing cleaning capacity, without having to replace the entire machine. Petition 870250012271, dated 02 / 14 / 2025, page 10 / 26 7 / 7

[034] To add the modules (10A) it is necessary to remove module (20) and place the new module on top of module (10), this fixing being done by means of 8 screws (12) next to the crossbars (12A). Thus, when we position module (10A) on top of module (10) the components are aligned in order to allow the passage of grains for cleaning. After adding module (10A) module (20) is placed which allows the grains to enter the equipment, as shown in Figure 2A.

[035] The machine (100) allows the arrangement of 2 or more modules, and the equipment is manufactured in 1600mm and 2000mm wide models. Thus, by arranging the modules we can double the grain cleaning capacity. Petition 870250012271, dated 02 / 14 / 2025, page 11 / 26
