Description

/ 6 “CONSTRUCTIVE ARRANGEMENT APPLIED IN A MACHINE FOR CRUSHING AND MIXING ANIMAL FEED”. TECHNICAL FIELD

[001] This utility model patent application pertains to the agricultural sector, more specifically to the processing of animal by-products. Notably, it concerns a machine designed for grinding viscera and small animal carcasses, coupled to a feed mixer. Its objective is to facilitate handling, promote human and animal health, as well as speed up the process, ensure cleanliness, and guarantee the homogeneity of the final product. This allows for a better distribution of the amount of immunological material for each animal, resulting in more effective responses to treatments and improved animal husbandry. HISTORY OF THE TECHNIQUE

[002] Humans were hunter-gatherers who depended on wild food sources. Hunting provided meat and other animal products, but it was unpredictable and required constant movement. Some animals began to be domesticated for their usefulness as a source of food, transportation, or work, such as sheep, goats, cattle, pigs, and poultry.

[003] With the domestication of animals, the first small-scale breeding sites emerged. The animals were confined in enclosures or herded in areas near the villages.

[004] In regions with large grazing areas, such as the steppes of Central Asia, nomadic peoples began raising herds of animals in extensive systems, where they moved in search of food sources. Over time, certain regions specialized in raising specific types of animals, depending on climatic conditions and resource availability. Petition 870250013558, dated 19 / 02 / 2025, page 13 / 19 / 6

[005] In Ancient Egypt, cattle and poultry farming was well developed, with irrigation systems to feed herds. In the Roman Empire, more organized methods of animal husbandry were developed, including communal pastures and stables for intensive production.

[006] The demand for animal products increased as cities grew, encouraging specialization in livestock breeding and trade. The Industrial Revolution brought agricultural machinery, such as combine harvesters, and improvements in transportation methods, allowing for larger-scale animal farming.

[007] In recent years, there has been a growing movement towards more sustainable production practices, focusing on animal welfare, reducing environmental impacts and integrated systems. State of the Art Analysis

[008] Research conducted in specialized databases revealed documents relating to feed grinders, such as document no. BR 202012003519-2, which deals with an “IMPROVEMENT IN FEED GRINDER”, comprising a toothed wheel 1, a belt 2, another toothed wheel 3 fitted to the grinding wheel 4, a seat structure 5, a seat 6, pedals 7 and an additional structure 8 for the grinder assembly. The assembly is driven by human force, activated by the movement of the pedals, which drives the belt that drives the grinding wheel, which activates the grinder. The ground feed is accumulated in a container in the structure.

[009] Document No. MU 7903275-3, which deals with an “IMPROVED FEED CRUSHER CYLINDER”, the descriptive report herein refers, as its title indicates, to an improved feed crusher cylinder, of the type used in certain devices or containers in which vegetable feed for animals is cut and mixed. Currently, multiple cylinder systems are known, both vertically and horizontally operating, as well as arrangements of several of these, and various helical element devices are also known. Petition 870250013558, dated 02 / 19 / 2025, page 14 / 19 / 6 cutters and mixers whose construction consists of both spiral profiles and radial arms arranged in a helically. These cylinders, depending on the direction of the turns, can, in each case, bring the product closer to the center, or separate it to the extremes of the container as needed. The elements known to date present a serious drawback, which consists in the fact that the initial point of attack or cutting of the facing central arms generally has an inadequate design, which also happens for the first quarter of the initial turns of the facing helical profiles. The aforementioned inadequate design leads, on the one hand, to undesirable clogging and blockages depending on the product to be crushed and mixed, while in the case of products of reduced volume and thickness, the performance of these designs drops noticeably. To solve the aforementioned problems, the improved feed crusher cylinder, object of the present invention, was designed, integrating a central shaft to which convergent-divergent helical profiles are associated, as well as central multiple blades, also convergent-divergent. Both the helical profiles and the blades have important disc-shaped cutting blades, with the necessary means of fixation for replacement or sharpening. The two facing central blades were designed with a detachable upper part, which allows both their height and their curvature of attack to be optimally adapted according to the product to be crushed or mixed.Similarly, the helical profiles, facing the central initiation, were designed to be replaceable with appropriate means, so that both their radial height and the development of their curvature have the appropriate dimensions for grinding and mixing each product according to its texture. The invention being recommended offers an advantage over currently known methods in avoiding undesirable blockages inside the grinding-mixing containers, which, logically, lead to considerable losses of time and sometimes costly breakdowns, both of the device and of the tractor or drive unit. Another advantage lies in the optimization of the cut product, while simultaneously reducing the incidence of its handling. Petition 870250013558, dated 19 / 02 / 2025, page 15 / 19 / 6

[010] Document no. PI 7803850-02, which deals with a “MIXER-GRINDER ASSEMBLY FOR ANIMAL FEED”, the present invention refers to an agricultural machine for animal feed, consisting of a feed mixer coupled to a grain crusher used simultaneously, crushing grains and mixing other elements that are an integral part of animal feed. The mixer (2-3) and crusher (5) assembly are mounted on a structure (1) with an intermediate transmission (18) that receives the driving force by a pulley (16C) and transmits it simultaneously through belts to a mixer (8) and crusher (5) auger.

[011] Although they operate in the same segment and perform the same functions, they have some limitations. The models require human strength and, depending on the application, may not adequately meet the needs, such as in the case of mixing. In addition, they use a pulley and belt mechanism which, depending on the use, can cause loss of efficiency and imprecision in the transmission of movement, as well as requiring frequent maintenance.

[012] Thus, it is a fact that the documents cited in the paragraphs above, despite belonging to the same field of application, do not present any of the characteristics of the object now improved, thus guaranteeing that it meets the legal requirements for patentability. BRIEF DESCRIPTION

[013] Taking into account all the problems that have been presented in the state of the art, the inventor, who has notorious knowledge of the sector, created and developed the aforementioned CONSTRUCTIVE ARRANGEMENT APPLIED IN A MACHINE FOR CRUSHING AND MIXING ANIMAL FEED”, which aims to facilitate handling, promote human and animal health, and bring speed to the process.
