Description
1 / 3 ADVANCED PULLING
[01] The present utility model describes an improvement in a handle that includes a base and a body that fit together and are locked by a tongue that can be disassembled by accessing the side of the handle body, eliminating the need for screws.
[02] Handles are furniture accessories that generally require fastening methods that need to be pre-drilled for installation. However, on surfaces where fastening is not possible or desirable, accessory fastening methods may be provided, including, for example, double-sided tape.
[03] To avoid improper or incorrect installation, it is necessary that the furniture panels that will receive the handles be marked beforehand. In the case of handles where pre-drilling is not possible, the state of the art describes split handles in which the base is previously attached to the furniture panel by double-sided tape, as described in document BR202023005498, from the same author. In this technical solution, the base is fixed to the surface by means of non-permanent fixing, such as gluing or double-sided tape, and the upper part is fitted to the base and locked by screwing.
[04] However, to facilitate the assembly of the handle and eventual disassembly in an easy way, the Applicant developed a two-part handle in which the body and the base are joined by means of a rail and locked by a tongue on a protrusion, eliminating the use of screws.
[05] In order to better describe the improvement in the handle, the following figures are presented: Petition 870250015625, dated 26 / 02 / 2025, page 16 / 25 2 / 3
[06] Figure 1 shows an exploded view of the handle, highlighting the base and the body.
[07] Figure 2 shows a perspective view of the base.
[08] Figure 3 shows a cross-sectional view of the base.
[09] Figure 4 shows a perspective view of the body with visualization of the internal elements.
[010] Figure 5 shows a cross-sectional view of the handle body.
[011] Figure 6 shows a perspective view of the handle body.
[012] Figure 7 shows a detailed view of the body fitting into the handle base.
[013] The improvement in handle, object of the present utility model, comprises a flat base (10) fixed to the support surface by means of non-permanent fastening, such as double-sided tape, and a body (20) associated with the base (10) by means of fitting with sliding in a guide and locking with a tongue, eliminating the need for screws.
[014] The base (10) has at opposite ends the orthogonal wall projection (11) parallel to the longitudinal edge (101) and recessed, forming a peripheral channel (12). On the outer faces of the orthogonal walls (11) a longitudinal projection (111) is arranged in the middle portion.
[015] At the base of the gap formed between the orthogonal walls (11) an indentation (13) is placed.
[016] One end of the base (10) has a transverse wall (14a) aligned with the transverse edge (102) of said base (10) and the opposite end has a transverse wall (14b) positioned at the inner end (112) of the orthogonal walls (11). Petition 870250015625, dated 26 / 02 / 2025, page 17 / 25 3 / 3
[017] The body (20) of the handle has ends with orthogonal projections (21) aligned with the longitudinal edge (201), said orthogonal projections (21) having an inner surface provided with a median longitudinal groove (211). In the gap between the orthogonal projections (21) extends, from the body of the handle (10), an elastic tongue (22) with a terminal indentation (221).
[018] The base (10) is fixed to the support surface by means of non-permanent fastening, such as double-sided tape. With this assembly, the base (10) can be pre-installed on the panels, facilitating storage and transport.
[019] For assembling the handle body, the projections (21) of the body (20) are aligned with the walls (11) of the base (10), the longitudinal projection (111) being fitted into the longitudinal groove (211), so that the projections (21) slide in the peripheral channel (12) of the base (10). In this displacement, the elastic tongue (22) reaches the indentation (13) arranged between the orthogonal walls (11) of the base (10), passing through and locking with the terminal indentation (221).
[020] The transverse wall (14a) constitutes a stop for locking the body (20) of the handle. To unlock the tongue (22), the tongue (22) is accessed through the transverse end (102) of the body (20), which, when pressed by means of a tool, disengages from the indentation (12) and, with this, it is possible to move the tongue (22) at the opposite end, releasing the body (20) of the handle from the base (10).
