Description
[001] This patent refers to a case for storing rolls and spools and stabilizing them during the dispensing of thread, tape or similar. More specifically, this patent relates to a means of storing rolls of ribbon, spools of thread and similar items that has a base for stabilizing the contents and an orifice for dispensing the ribbon or thread contained inside. The value of this device lies in facilitating the unwinding of the roll or spool and stabilizing it during use, preventing the thread or ribbon from tangling and / or the roll from moving. Additionally, by using transparent material in its construction, it allows the user to monitor the integrity and consumption of the contents of the case. Fundamentals of the invention
[002] The use of ribbon and polyamide (Nylon) thread is very common for tying in general work, due to its low cost, practicality and ease of handling. Its use is even more present in the routine of party decorators, where the variety of ribbon colors allows for great diversity of application in fixing and ornamenting parties, and the small thickness of the polyamide thread combined with its transparency allows ornaments to be tied in a way that remains hidden in the decoration.
[003] During a work shift preparing for parties, it is common for the decorator to use various segments of ribbon, constantly needing to unroll and cut it. In cases where the ribbon roll or spool is used without adequate support, unwinding must be done carefully to avoid tangling the ribbon, due, for example, to excessive unwinding, or tipping the roll or spool and consequently rolling across the floor, which can lead to accidents and also to tangling the ribbon or string. Petition 870260058859, dated 06 / 17 / 2026, p. 6 / 14 / 5
[004] Still in the decoration segment, a common procedure for using rolls is for two decorators to use the same roll simultaneously. This is possible because the roll does not have a reel to structure it, thus having both ends exposed and allowing each user to pull one end. This procedure increases the speed of assembly, but increases the risk of the tape getting tangled and the roll rolling across the floor.
[005] The present invention is demonstrated here as a solution to the problems explained, allowing the roll of ribbon or the spool of polyamide thread to be unwound without tangling or rolling. Objectives of the invention
[006] The invention shown here aims to provide party decorators and other users of ribbon rolls and polyamide thread spools with a way to unwind the material without causing it to become tangled, or the roll or spool to tip over and roll across the floor. Brief description of the drawings
[007] The objectives, advantages and other important characteristics of the object described herein may be more easily understood when read in conjunction with the attached figures, which include: Figure 1 represents a perspective view of the case containing a guide hole in the lid. Figure 2 shows a side view of the case with a lid and a guide hole. Figure 3 shows a view of the side of the case without a lid or guide hole. Figure 4 shows a view of the bottom of the case. Figure 5 represents a top view of the case, demonstrating its curvature. Figure 6 represents a perspective view of the case containing two guide holes in the lid and on the opposite side. Figure 8 is a perspective view of the case in the alternative configuration that has a guide hole in its face. Description of the invention
[008] CASE FOR STABILIZING AND DISPENSING TWINE BY A GUIDE ORIFICE is generally composed of a pouch (100) with flat sides (107, 109), preferably rounded face (104) and flat bottom (105), in which there is a hole in its face (101c) or in one or two of its sides (101a, 101b).
[009] The case (100) is manufactured, mostly, preferably in transparent PVC, as it provides lower cost, greater ease of manufacture and visual control of the contents inside the case, but is not limited to this material. Its geometry is substantially semi-cylindrical, so as to mimic the shape of the roll with the rounded face (104), and having a flat bottom (105) which, when in use, rests on the work surface (floor, table or similar). The flat bottom (105) provides stability to the assembly by positioning the roll / spool on its side, preventing the assembly from rolling across the surface. In other words, the flat bottom (105) is present to provide the user of the roll of twine or spool of thread with the assurance that, when pulling the thread, the material will unwind without the roll or spool moving across the surface, but rather remaining stationary inside the case. The rounded face (104), in turn, is made in this way for greater ease of manufacture and assembly of the opening and closing means (103), without, however, being restricted to this shape.
[0010] Closing the case, there is the lid (107) and the flat side (109). On the periphery of the lid (107) are installed means for opening and closing the case (103), preferably a zipper, but it can also be a tab with a button, Velcro®, among others. The installation of such an element preferably occurs along the entire semicircular edge (102) of the lid, with the edge Petition 870260058859, dated 06 / 17 / 2026, page 8 / 14 / 5 flat (106) acting as a hinge, so that it allows the full opening of the device for insertion of the roll of tape or reel without the lid of the device being a barrier. The flat side (109), in turn, is attached to the case by the sealed edge (108), thus closing the device.
[0011] The joining of these sections is preferably done by sewing, and various finishes such as piping can be added for better aesthetic presentation. In addition, a handle can be added to the assembly so that it can be hung, sewing a wide ribbon preferably on the flat edge (106), which joins the flat bottom (105) and the lid (107).
[0012] Finally, the case must have at least one hole for the passage of the ribbon or polyamide thread. This hole can be positioned in 3 preferred configurations, which are suitable for different intended uses. For use with a roll of ribbon where only one end of the roll will be used, the model with an outlet hole in the lid (101a) is used. This configuration allows the ribbon to be dispensed preferably from its outer end, unwinding it longitudinally along the roll in such a way that it does not unwind in a disorganized manner or cause the object to tip over and roll. The complementary configuration has, in addition to the outlet hole in the lid (101a), an outlet hole (101b) on the side opposite the lid, also allowing the extraction of the other end, inside the roll of ribbon, thus allowing two people to work with the same roll of ribbon.
[0013] Finally, the third preferred case configuration has a front exit hole (101c). This configuration is designed for use with a reel which, due to its edges, does not allow longitudinal line extraction. In this case, the arrangement of the hole (101c) allows the line to be extracted tangentially from the reel, and its confinement in the case allows it to rotate freely without rolling on the surface on which it rests. Petition 870260058859, dated 06 / 17 / 2026, p. 9 / 14 / 5
[0014] The holes (101a-c) can also be protected by eyelets, providing greater durability to the case by protecting the edge of the hole from friction caused by line extraction.
[0015] For the reasons stated above, it is evident that the present invention achieves its intended objectives, revealing equipment capable of: • Store a roll of ribbon or spool of thread in a way that prevents it from unwinding in a disorganized manner. • Ensure that a roll of ribbon or spool of thread unwinds in an orderly fashion and without tangling the thread. • Prevent the roll of ribbon or spool of thread from moving erratically across the surface on which it is placed while the ribbon / thread is being pulled.
[0016] Having disclosed some examples of preferred and alternative embodiments of the present invention, it is clear that none of the examples listed is limiting to the scope of protection of the present invention, which is defined and limited solely by the set of claims and the claims contained therein.
