Description
[001] This utility model belongs to the technical sector of civil construction, more particularly to the field of architectural lighting systems, and refers to an arrangement in illuminated wall cladding, with profiles of differentiated cross-section and functional elements that optimize the installation, the luminous effect and the integration of the assembly with the furniture or cladding. State of the art
[002] Profiles are known to be used in recessed architectural lighting solutions, especially for installing LED strips in baseboards, cornices, and wall coverings. These profiles usually have cavities or channels designed to house the LED strip, and may include tabs for fixing and, in some cases, translucent diffusers to soften the light emission. These solutions are widely used to create indirect lighting effects in interior spaces, integrating lighting and decorative finishes.
[003] Patent document CN 212359009 U describes a skirting board with a cavity for installing LED strip lighting, allowing indirect lighting close to the floor. It consists of a back plate, panel, top plate and channel for LED strip lighting, with a snap-fit system between the parts to facilitate assembly and maintenance. Although it offers convenient installation and concealment of components, it is a structure primarily intended for application in skirting boards, not providing for flush-mounted installation or interaction with a second profile for aesthetic control of the light.
[004] Document BR 20 2022 008581 U2 presents a multi-purpose profile for architectural finishing, including baseboards and moldings, with a cavity for LED strip installation. The profile includes fittings for fixing and cable routing, and can be used in different positions. However, the solution does not detail a dedicated channel for total concealment of the LED strip, nor mechanisms for controlled light diffusion or reflection, nor profiles with Petition 870250081738, dated 11 / 09 / 2025, page 5 / 21 2 / 5 composite sections or specific curvatures for differentiated lighting effect.
[005] In the analysis of the documents found, it is verified that, although there are profiles for LED embedding with channels for housing and some solutions for concealing the strip, no proposals were identified that simultaneously present: “Z” cross-section with perpendicular edges, longitudinal channel dimensioned for complete concealment of the LED strip, curved profile adjacent to the channel for reflection and diffusion of light, undulations to promote light dispersion, nor ends configured for male and female type fitting in panels.
[006] Known solutions lack constructive flexibility for varying the width of the illuminated area, efficient integration with different types of furniture and coverings, and mechanisms that optimize the diffusion and control of the luminous effect. Furthermore, the absence of curved surfaces with undulations for reflection and diffusion, as well as specific panel fitting systems, limits the functional performance and versatility of the available profiles. Novelty and objective of the proposed model.
[007] The new constructive arrangement introduced in illuminated wall or furniture cladding for recessed application of LED strips, proposed by the present utility model, effectively resolves the limitations of the prior art previously mentioned.
[008] The present utility model aims to provide a profile for recessing LED strips that optimizes the installation and functional performance of linear lighting in furniture and wall coverings, aiming to guarantee the complete concealment of the LED strip, leaving only the light emission visible, and enabling recessed integration into furniture through specially configured sections and fittings.
[009] Another objective is to give the profile constructive characteristics that promote the controlled reflection and diffusion of light, through curved and wavy surfaces adjacent to the LED strip channel, resulting in homogeneous and pleasant lighting effects for the environment. Petition 870250081738, dated 11 / 09 / 2025, page 6 / 21 3 / 5
[010] Additionally, the profile must allow for simple assembly, modularity, and adaptation to different thicknesses and types of panels or furniture, through ends configured for male and female type fitting. Functional improvement of the proposed model
[011] The new constructive arrangement introduced in illuminated wall or furniture cladding for recessed LED strips provides improvements that directly impact the functionality, ease of assembly, and economic efficiency of the system. The main advantages are: - Complete concealment of the LED strip, through a longitudinal channel sized for complete housing, in order to protect it against impacts and dust, providing greater durability and safety; - Recessed mounting with surface alignment, made possible by the "Z" shaped cross-section and the male and female type fitting ends, allowing flush integration into the panel or furniture; - Modularity and adaptability to different projects, with the possibility of varying the spacing between profiles and compatibility with standard thickness panels, avoiding rework and increasing application versatility; - Simplified and quick installation, since the "Z" section with support tabs allows for precise fitting into the panel, with adhesive fixation, in addition to direct access to the LED strip for replacement or adjustment, eliminating complex adjustments and reducing assembly time, which lowers labor costs; - Optimized light control through the combination of the LED channel with the curved, wavy profile, which provides homogeneous reflection and diffusion, avoiding glare and increasing the use of luminous flux without the use of extra diffusers. List of attached drawings
[012] In order for the present model to be fully understood and put into practice by any technician in this technological sector, it is described in a clear, precise and sufficient manner, based on the attached drawings, Petition 870250081738, dated 11 / 09 / 2025, page 7 / 21 4 / 5 listed below: Figure 1 - Cross-sectional view of the illuminated cladding arrangement; Figure 2 - Enlarged view, according to Detail B indicated in Figure 1; Figure 3 - Enlarged view, according to Detail A indicated in figure 1; Figure 4 - Enlarged perspective view of the set of applied profiles; Figure 5 - Enlarged perspective view of the curved profile; Figure 6 - Enlarged perspective view of the “Z” profile; Figure 7 - Top view in section of a constructive option of the arrangement introduced in illuminated cladding; Figure 8 - Enlarged view, according to Detail C indicated in Figure 7. Description of the proposed model
[013] Figures 1 and 2 illustrate the cladding arrangement applied to a wall (P), which can be masonry, drywall panel or door frame. Installation begins with screwing a support profile (4) directly onto the wall (P), this support profile (4) serving as a structural base and anchoring for the other system components. An “H” profile (3) is fitted into the support profile (4) which receives the panels (5), which can be made of glass, ceramic or MDF, according to the desired application. Preferably, the panel (5) is glued to the profile (3).
[014] Figure 3 illustrates the “Z” profile (2) which is fixed to the edge and inner portion of one of the panels (5) and acts as a side finishing element and allows the creation of angles and transitions between panels, contributing to the aesthetic and functional flexibility of the system. An LED strip (6) is fixed to the inner flange of the “Z” profile (2) which emits a light beam that is reflected in a curved profile (1). This curved profile (1) is fixed to the edge and inner portion of the opposite panel (5). The distance (X) between the panels (5) can vary according to the project requirements, and the spacing allows for different lighting effects, depending on the light passage.
[015] Figure 4 details the assembly of the two profiles (1 and 2) in an enlarged perspective, highlighting the modularity of the installation. In this view, the following are visible Petition 870250081738, dated 11 / 09 / 2025, page 8 / 21 5 / 5 the curved profile (1), used for smooth transitions between planes and its interaction with the “Z” profile (2). Each of the profiles (1 and 2) are fixed to a respective panel (5). The LED strip (6) is arranged longitudinally on the inner flange of the “Z” profile (2), projecting a beam of light against the arched surface (12) of the curved profile (1) generating continuous and indirect lighting to the environment.
[016] Figure 5 details the curved profile (1) which has a flat portion (11) followed by an arched portion (12) from whose end an orthogonal flange (13) projects. Preferably, the surfaces of portions (11 and 12) have grooves (14) that intensify the light irradiation.
[017] Figure 6 details the “Z” profile (2) which consists of a web (21) and two opposite orthogonal flanges (22). The LED strip (6) is fixed to one of the orthogonal flanges (21) of the “Z” profile (2).
[018] Figures 7 and 8 show a cross-sectional view of a constructive option of the arrangement introduced in illuminated cladding. In this option, the curved profile (1) is replaced by a flat panel (8) which also acts as a component for reflecting the light beam from the LED strip (6). This flat panel (8) is fixed to the wall (P) using the same “H” profile (3). The panels (5) are fixed to the “H” profiles (3) which, in turn, are fixed to spacers (7). The “Z” profiles (2) are also fixed to the edges and inner portions of the panels (5). The LED strip (6) is also fixed to the free orthogonal flange of the “Z” profile (2). Note that the spacing (X) between the panels (5 and 5') is maintained, which can vary according to the project, ensuring the modularity and aesthetics of the illuminated cladding.
