Electric generator intended to be incorporated into a watch

Abstract

The generator (4) comprises a rotor (6), defining an axis of rotation and comprising a permanent magnet (8) having at least two radial magnetic poles, and a stator (10) formed by coils (16 to 19) and magnetic cores (12 to 15) around which said coils are respectively wound. Said magnetic cores are arranged respectively in geometric planes perpendicular to the axis of rotation. The permanent magnet (8) has a center substantially in a mid-plane of said geometric planes. According to the invention, the stator (10) does not include any part with high magnetic permeability running alongside the permanent magnet. According to a specific embodiment of the invention, the stator is arranged such that the magnetic cores form a magnetic circuit defining a continuous annular structure (22) within which the permanent magnet is located.
