Abstract

The invention relates to a chopping device (1) with at least two sets of blades (4), each comprising a longitudinal beam (9) and a first blade (19) and a second blade (20). The blades (19, 20) are arranged at opposite ends (13, 14) of a single transverse beam (12) held on the longitudinal beam (9) in a pivot axis (10). The first blade (19) is held in a first pivot axis (15) and the second blade (20) is held in a second pivot axis (16). A first tooth segment (25) connected to the longitudinal beam (9) is arranged in the pivot axis (10), a second tooth segment (26) connected to the first blade (19) is arranged in the first pivot axis (15), and a third tooth segment (27) connected to the second blade (20) is arranged in the second pivot axis (16).The tooth segments (25, 26, 27) are each connected by a circumferential tension element (30), so that during the pivoting movement (11) the blades (19, 20) are aligned parallel to the longitudinal beam (9).
