Abstract

The invention relates to a balloon catheter for transurethral use, comprising a catheter shaft (2) with at least two lumens, including a first inflation lumen (3a) and a second inflation lumen (3b), and a first inflatable balloon (6), wherein the first balloon (6) is fluid-permeable to the first inflation lumen (3a) via a first opening (4), and a second inflatable balloon (7), wherein the second balloon (7) is fluid-permeable to the second inflation lumen (3b) via a second opening (5), wherein the first balloon (6) is made of Pebax or silicone and the second balloon (7) is made of nylon. A balloon catheter thus equipped is easy to handle and particularly advantageous in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia.
