Abstract
The invention relates to a method for matching a balance spring and a balance wheel or balance band comprising the following steps: a. measuring and recording the moment of inertia of a balance wheel mounted with a balance staff and a balance plate, or of a balance band mounted with a balance staff, or of a balance band alone; b. storing the measured balance wheel or the measured balance band in a dedicated storage area with measured balance wheels or measured balance bands; c. repeating steps a. and b., so as to create stocks of measured balance wheels or measured balance bands, distributed by zones of the storage area according to the measured moment of inertia; d. measuring and recording the stiffness of a balance spring; e.f. Search for the measured balance spring, using an algorithm, within the measured and stored balance wheels or measured and stored balance wheels such that a matching of the balance spring and the balance wheel or balance wheel gives a balance-balance spring with a minimal frequency deviation, usually less than ±2 minutes / day relative to a target frequency; f. Associate the measured balance spring with a measured and stored balance wheel, or with a measured and stored balance wheel such that a matching of the balance spring and the balance wheel or balance wheel gives a balance-balance spring with a minimal frequency deviation, usually less than ±2 minutes / day relative to a target frequency.
