Abstract

The invention consists of a Cognitive System for Industrial Operations designed to operate as a persistent cognitive entity capable of reasoning, learning, simulating, auditing itself, and communicating in complex industrial environments, without relying on linguistic models as its core intelligence. The system is based on three interdependent cognitive pillars: 1. A Versioned Operational Ontology, configured to represent entities, processes, risks, controls, causal relationships, operational factors, and organizational knowledge, maintaining a complete epistemic history and allowing for updating, branching, and retrospective interpretation without destructive overwriting. 2.A fractal cognitive topology, implemented using graphs, constitutes the structural basis of the system's intelligence and comprises cognitive nodes, functional subgraphs, and specialized cognitive agents, including non-agentifiable transversal nodes intended for cognitive integrity, epistemic auditing, traceability, and temporal coherence. 3. A supervised operational simulation mechanism, configured to generate temporary cognitive branches independent of the system's main state, from real data, synthetic data derived from the ontology, or combinations of both, allowing the evaluation of future scenarios, operational hypotheses, and alternative courses of action without affecting established knowledge.
