Abstract

A paste extrusion machine for manufacturing tubular electrodes for electrochemical cells, which allows for flexibility in the internal geometry of the electrodes to improve their efficiency, comprises: an interchangeable head for obtaining different geometries of the electrode's internal channel; a reducer; a conical head; a coupling; a plug; a rack; a shaft; a cylinder that acts as a material compression chamber; a screw conveyor; two spur gears; supports; a rail; structural supports; a base; and a speed regulator for controlling a motor. Also included is the process for operating the extrusion machine for obtaining tubular electrodes.
