Switching device for the direction indicator lamps on motorcycles or other vehicles

Abstract

The device has a housing (10) accommodating a cursor (30), movable in two directions, and a contact base (40) carrying electrical contacts (41, 42, 43, 44, 45) connected to the vehicle's electrical system and to the direction-of-movement and emergency condition indicator lamps. An actuating rod (50) is coupled to the cursor (30) and movable in a first direction, between inoperative and operative positions, in each of the latter positions a contact bridge (31) of the cursor (30) closes the electrical contacts (41, 42, 43) of the direction-of-movement indicator lamps, and in a second direction orthogonal to the first, between inoperative and operative positions, in the latter position the cursor (30) has its contact bridge (31, 31a) closing the electrical contacts (44, 45) that energize the emergency condition indicator lamps.
