Abstract

A pivoting boom (210) includes a housing pivotally attached to a frame (150) of a mobile machine (140) at a pivot point at a proximal end of the housing and a busbar assembly (280) attached to an inner surface of the housing (212) and configured to electrically connect the mobile machine (140) to the electrically conductive rail system (120) via a plurality of electrical cables (296) in the busbar assembly (280). A pivoting boom (210) also includes a hydraulic system (220) configured to extend or retract the pivoting boom (210) about the pivot point and a pneumatic system (260) configured to control the movement of a back-arm assembly (400) and a contactor assembly (450).
