Fish evisceration based on motor electrical parameters

Abstract

An evisceration device (100, 600) for eviscerating fish (102a-b) is disclosed, comprising one or more evisceration tools (104a-b), transport means (106) for transporting the fish, a motor (108) arranged to move the one or more evisceration tools into and out of an open abdominal cavity of the fish, wherein the motor is an electric motor and is configured to generate one or more electrical parameters, and a controller (120) arranged to control the motor, and wherein the controller is arranged to receive the one or more electrical parameters and is arranged to control the motor based, at least partially, on the one or more electrical parameters. A corresponding evisceration machine (700), its method, and its use are also disclosed.
