Production of synthetic fuels from CO2 with by-product conversion and CO2 separation

Abstract

A CO2 capture / conversion device / process, comprising / using a CO2 capture unit (2), a water electrolysis unit (5), an RWGS unit (8), an FT unit (13), a by-products to synthesis gas conversion unit (28), and a hydrogen unit (20), wherein a carbon dioxide separation unit (34) is provided to treat a first synthesis gas (12) and a second synthesis gas (29), produce a gaseous effluent stripped of carbon dioxide (18) and a gaseous effluent rich in carbon dioxide (35), and recycle the gaseous effluent rich in carbon dioxide (35) at the inlet of the RWGS section (8).
